তিনি বলেন, আমি একটি উত্তম ঘোড়া আল্লাহর পথে দান করি। কিন্তু সে ব্যক্তি (যাকে দেয়া হয়েছিল) ঘোড়াটির সঠিক দেখাশুনা না করে ঘোড়াটিকে দুর্বল করে ফেলে। আমার ধারণ হলো, সে তা সস্তা দামে বিক্রি করে দিবে। আমি এ ব্যাপারে রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর নিকট জিজ্ঞেস করলাম। তিনি বললেন, তুমি তা খরিদ করবে না এবং তোমার দানকে ফিরিয়ে আনবে না। কেননা যে ব্যক্তি আপন দান ফিরিয়ে নেয়, সে সেই কুকুরের মতো, যেটি বমি করে আবার তা খায়। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০১৮, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Umar b. Khattab (Allah be pleased with him) reported:I donated a pedigree horse in the path of Allah. Its possessor made it languish. I thought that he would sell it at a cheap price. I asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) about it, whereupon he said: Don't buy it and do not get back your charity, for one who gets back the charity is like a dog who swallows its vomit
যুহায়র ইবনু হারব ও আবদুর রহমান ইবনু মাহদী (রহঃ) ..... মালিক ইবনু আনাস (রাযিঃ) থেকে উক্ত সানাদে বর্ণনা করেন। তবে এতে তিনি অতিরিক্ত বলেছেন যে, তুমি তা ক্রয় করতে যাবে না, যদিও এক দিরহামের বিনিময়ে সে তোমাকে তা দিয়ে দেয়। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০১৯, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Malik b. Anas with the same chain of transmitters but with this addition:" Don't buy that even if he gives you for one dirham
উমাইয়াহ ইবনু বিসতাম (রহঃ) ..... উমার ইবনুল খাত্তাব (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত যে, তিনি একটি ঘোড়া আল্লাহর রাস্তায় দান করেন। পরে তিনি তার মালিকের নিকট ঘোড়াটি দেখতে পান যে, সে তাকে নষ্ট করে ফেলেছে। সে লোকটি ছিল গরীব। তাই তিনি তা কিনে নেয়ার ইচ্ছা করেন। তখন তিনি রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর নিকট গিয়ে এ বিষয়টি তাকে বললেন। তিনি বললেন, এক দিরহামের বিনিময়ে দিলেও তুমি তা খরিদ করবে না। কেননা, যে ব্যক্তি আপন দান ফিরিয়ে নেয়, সে সেই কুকুরের ন্যায়, যে নিজে বমি করে আবার তা খায়। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০২০, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Zaid b. Aslam reported on the authority of his father that 'Umar (Allah be pleased with him) donated a horse in the path of Allah. He found that it had languished in the hand of its possessor, and he was a man of meagre resources He (Hadrat 'Umar) intended to buy it. He came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and made a mention of that to him, whereupon he said:Don't buy that even if you get it for a dirham for he who gets back the charity is like a dog which swallows its vomit

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Zaid b. Aslam with the same chain of transmitters but with this (change) that the hadith transmitted on the authority of Malik and Rauh (he was the son of Qisirn) is more complete and lengthy
ইয়াহইয়া ইবনু ইয়াহইয়া (রহঃ) ..... ইবনু উমার (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত যে, উমার ইবনু খাত্তাব (রাযিঃ) আল্লাহর রাস্তায় একটি ঘোড়া দান করেন। পরে তিনি দেখলেন তা বিক্রি করা হচ্ছে। তখন তিনি তা ক্রয় করতে চাইলেন এবং রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর নিকট এ সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন। রসূলুল্লাহ বললেন, তুমি তা ক্রয় করো না এবং তোমার সদাকাহ করা জিনিসকে ফিরিয়ে নিও না। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০২২, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Ibn 'Umar reported that 'Umar b. al-Khattib (Allah be pleased with him) donated a horse in the path of Allah and (later on) he found it being sold, and he decided to buy that. He asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about it. whereupon he (the Holy prophet) said:Don't buy that and do not get back what you gave in charity
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لِعَبْدٍ - قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ، حَمَلَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ رَآهَا تُبَاعُ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَشْتَرِيَهَا فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ تَعُدْ فِي صَدَقَتِكَ يَا عُمَرُ " .
ইবনু আবূ 'উমার ও আবদ ইবনু হুমায়দ (রহঃ) ..... ইবনু উমার (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত যে, উমর (রাযিঃ) একটি ঘোড়া আল্লাহর রাস্তায় দান করেন। এরপর তিনি দেখলেন যে, তা বিক্রি করা হচ্ছে। তখন তিনি তা ক্রয় করার ইচ্ছা করেন এবং নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর নিকটে এ ব্যাপারে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন। রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেন, হে উমার! তোমার সদাকাহ্ করা বস্তুকে ফিরিয়ে নিও না। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০২৪, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)

Ibn 'Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) having said this:He who gets back his charity is like a dog which vomits, and then returns to that and eats it
আবূ কুরায়ব মুহাম্মাদ ইবনুল আলী (রহঃ) ..... আওযাঈ (রহঃ) এর সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, আমি মুহাম্মাদ ইবনু আলী ইবনু হুসায়ন (রহঃ) কে উক্ত সানাদে এরূপ বলতে শুনেছি। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০২৬, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)

হারূন ইবনু সাঈদ আইলী এবং আহমাদ ইবনু ঈসা (রহঃ) ..... ইবনু আব্বাস (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, আমি রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম কে বলতে শুনেছি যে, নিশ্চয় এটাই ঐ ব্যক্তির উদাহরণ, যে দান করে তা ফিরিয়ে আনে, তাহলো সেই কুকুরের মতো, যে বমি করে পরে তার বমি খেয়ে ফেলে। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০২৮, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) reported:I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) say: The similitude of one who gives a charity and then gets it back is like that of a dog which vomits and then eats its vomit
وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، بْنُ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " الْعَائِدُ فِي هِبَتِهِ كَالْكَلْبِ يَقِيءُ ثُمَّ يَعُودُ فِي قَيْئِهِ " .
ইসহাক ইবনু ইবরাহীম (রহঃ) ... ইবনু আব্বাস (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত যে, রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ নিজের দান প্রত্যপণকারী ব্যক্তি কুকুরের ন্যায়, যে বমি করে ও পরে সে তার বমি পুনরায় খায়। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০৩১, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Abdullah b. Tawus reported on the authority of his father who reported from Ibn Abas (Allah be pleased with them) who reported from Allah's Messenger 'may peace be upon him) that he said:One who gets back his gift is like a dog which vomits and then swallows that vomit
তিনি বলেন, তার পিতা তাকে সঙ্গে করে রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর নিকট আসেন। তারপর বলেন যে, আমি আমার এ পুত্রকে আমার একটি গোলাম দান করেছি। রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেন, তোমার সকল সন্তানকে কি এভাবে দান করেছো? তিনি বললেন, না। রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেন, তা হলে তুমি তা ফিরিয়ে নাও। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০৩২, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Nu'man b. Bashir reported that his father brought him to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and said:I have donated this slave of mine to my son. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: Have you donated to every one of your sons (a slave) like this? He said: No. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace he upon him) said: Then take him back
তিনি বলেন, আমার পিতা আমাকে নিয়ে রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর নিকট আসেন এবং বলেন যে, আমি আমার এ পুত্রকে একটি গোলাম প্রদান করেছি। তিনি বললেন, তোমার সকল পুত্রকে দান করেছ কি? তিনি বললেন, না। রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেন, তাহলে তা ফিরিয়ে নাও। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০৩৩, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)

আবূ বাকর ইবনু আবূ শাইবাহ, ইসহাক ইবনু ইবরাহীম ও ইবনু আবূ উমর (রহঃ) ইবনু উইয়াইনাহ্ (রহঃ) হতে এবং কুতাইবাহ ও ইবনু রুমূহ, (রহঃ) লায়স ইবনু সা'দ (রহঃ) হতে, হারমালাহ ইবনু ইয়াহইয়া (রহঃ) ইউনুস (রহঃ) হতে, ইসহাক ইবনু ইবরাহীম ও আবদ ইবনু হুমায়দ (রহঃ) মা'মার (রহঃ) হতে, তারা সকলেই যুহরী (রহঃ) এর সূত্রে উক্ত সানাদে হাদীস বর্ণনা করেন। তবে ইউনুস ও মা'মার (রহঃ) এর বর্ণনায় أَكُلَّ بَنِيكَ এবং লায়স ও ইবনু উয়াইনাহ্ (রহঃ)-এর বর্ণনায় أَكُلَّ وَلَدِكَ এবং মুহাম্মাদ ইবনু নু'মান ও হুমায়দ ইবনু আবদুর রহমান থেকে লায়স এর বর্ণনায় “বাশীর নুমানকে সাথে নিয়ে আসে” বলা হয়েছে। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০৩৪, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)

তিনি বলেন, তাকে তার পিতা একটি গোলাম দান করেন। নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম তাকে জিজ্ঞেস করেন, এ গোলামটি কিসের? তিনি বললেন, একে আমার পিতা আমাকে দান করেছেন। নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেন, তার সকল ভাইদেরকে তুমি দিয়েছে কি, যেভাবে একে দিয়েছো? তিনি বললেন, না। নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেন, তাহলে তা ফিরিয়ে নাও। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০৩৫, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Nu'man b. Bashir reported that his father had donated a slave to him. Allah's Apostle (may peace he upon him) said:Who is this slave (how have you come to possess it)? Thereupon he (Nu'man b. Bashir) said: My father has donated it to me, whereupon he said: Have all brothers (of yours) been given this gift as given to you? He said: No. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Then return him
তিনি বলেন, আমাকে আমার পিতা তার সম্পদ থেকে কিছু প্রদান করেন। আমার মা আমরাহ বিনতু রাওয়াহা (রহঃ) বললেন, আমি সম্ভষ্ট হতে পারছি না, যতক্ষণ না আপনি রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম কে সাক্ষী রাখেন। এরপর আমার পিতা আমাকে নিয়ে নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর নিকট আসেন, আমার দানের উপর তাকে সাক্ষী রাখার জন্যে। রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম তাকে বললেন, এরূপ কাজ কি তুমি তোমার আর সব পুত্রদের সঙ্গে করেছ? তিনি বললেন, না। নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেন, আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং তোমার সন্তানদের মধ্যে ন্যায় বিচার কর। তখন আমার পিতা চলে আসেন এবং সে দান ফিরিয়ে নেন। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০৩৬, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Nu'man b. Bashir reported:My father donated to me some of his property. My mother Amra bint Rawaha said: I shall not be pleased (with this act) until you make Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) a witness to it. My father went to Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) in order to make him the witness of the donation given to me. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to him: Have you done the same with every son of yours? He said: No. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Fear Allah, and observe equity in case of your children. My father returned and got back the gift
আবূ বকর ইবনু আবূ শাইবাহ্ (রহঃ) ... নু'মান ইবনু বাশীর (রাযিঃ) থকে বর্ণিত। তার মা বিনতু রাওয়াহ (রাযিঃ) তাঁর পিতার নিকট স্বীয় পুত্রের জন্যে তার সম্পদ থেকে কিছু দান করার অনুরোধ করলেন। এক বছর যাবৎ তিনি এ ব্যাপারে গড়িমসি করেন। পরে তা দেয়ার ইচ্ছা জাগল। বিনতু রাওয়াহা (রাযিঃ) বললেন, আমার পুত্রকে যা দিবেন তার উপর রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম কে সাক্ষী না রাখা পর্যন্ত আমি খুশি হবো না। তখন আমার পিতা আমার হাত ধরে রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর নিকট আসলেন। সে সময় আমি বালক ছিলাম। তিনি বললেন, হে আল্লাহর রসূল! এর মা বিনতু রাওয়াহা চায় যে, আমি তাঁর পুত্রকে যা দান করেছি আপনাকে তার সাক্ষী রাখি। রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেন, হে বাশীর! এ ছাড়া তোমার কি আর কোন পুত্র আছে? বললেন, হ্যাঁ। তিনি বললেন, তুমি কি তাদের সকলকে এরূপ দান করেছ? তিনি বললেন, না। তখন তিনি বললেন, তাহলে আমাকে সাক্ষী রেখো না। কারণ, আমি যুলুমের ব্যাপারে সাক্ষী হই না। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০৩৭, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Nu'man b. Bashir reported that his mother bint Rawaha asked his (Nu'man's) father about donating some gifts from his property to his son. He deferred the matter by one year, and then set forth to do that. She (Nu'man's mother) said:I shall not be pleased unless you call Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as witness to what you confer as a gift on your son. (Nu'man said): So father took hold of my hand and I was at that time a boy, and came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). and said: Allah's Messenger, the mother of this son (of mine), daughter of Rawaha wishes that I should call you witness to what I confer as gift to her son. Allah's Messenger (may pease be upon him) said: Bashir, have you any other son besides this (son of yours)? He said: Yes. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Have you given gifts to all of them like this? He said: No. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Then call me not as witness, for I cannot be witness to an injustice
