তিনি বলেন, আমি একটি উত্তম ঘোড়া আল্লাহর পথে দান করি। কিন্তু সে ব্যক্তি (যাকে দেয়া হয়েছিল) ঘোড়াটির সঠিক দেখাশুনা না করে ঘোড়াটিকে দুর্বল করে ফেলে। আমার ধারণ হলো, সে তা সস্তা দামে বিক্রি করে দিবে। আমি এ ব্যাপারে রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর নিকট জিজ্ঞেস করলাম। তিনি বললেন, তুমি তা খরিদ করবে না এবং তোমার দানকে ফিরিয়ে আনবে না। কেননা যে ব্যক্তি আপন দান ফিরিয়ে নেয়, সে সেই কুকুরের মতো, যেটি বমি করে আবার তা খায়। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০১৮, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Umar b. Khattab (Allah be pleased with him) reported:I donated a pedigree horse in the path of Allah. Its possessor made it languish. I thought that he would sell it at a cheap price. I asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) about it, whereupon he said: Don't buy it and do not get back your charity, for one who gets back the charity is like a dog who swallows its vomit
যুহায়র ইবনু হারব ও আবদুর রহমান ইবনু মাহদী (রহঃ) ..... মালিক ইবনু আনাস (রাযিঃ) থেকে উক্ত সানাদে বর্ণনা করেন। তবে এতে তিনি অতিরিক্ত বলেছেন যে, তুমি তা ক্রয় করতে যাবে না, যদিও এক দিরহামের বিনিময়ে সে তোমাকে তা দিয়ে দেয়। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০১৯, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Malik b. Anas with the same chain of transmitters but with this addition:" Don't buy that even if he gives you for one dirham
উমাইয়াহ ইবনু বিসতাম (রহঃ) ..... উমার ইবনুল খাত্তাব (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত যে, তিনি একটি ঘোড়া আল্লাহর রাস্তায় দান করেন। পরে তিনি তার মালিকের নিকট ঘোড়াটি দেখতে পান যে, সে তাকে নষ্ট করে ফেলেছে। সে লোকটি ছিল গরীব। তাই তিনি তা কিনে নেয়ার ইচ্ছা করেন। তখন তিনি রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর নিকট গিয়ে এ বিষয়টি তাকে বললেন। তিনি বললেন, এক দিরহামের বিনিময়ে দিলেও তুমি তা খরিদ করবে না। কেননা, যে ব্যক্তি আপন দান ফিরিয়ে নেয়, সে সেই কুকুরের ন্যায়, যে নিজে বমি করে আবার তা খায়। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০২০, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Zaid b. Aslam reported on the authority of his father that 'Umar (Allah be pleased with him) donated a horse in the path of Allah. He found that it had languished in the hand of its possessor, and he was a man of meagre resources He (Hadrat 'Umar) intended to buy it. He came to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and made a mention of that to him, whereupon he said:Don't buy that even if you get it for a dirham for he who gets back the charity is like a dog which swallows its vomit
ইবনু আবূ উমর (রহঃ) ..... যায়দ ইবনু আসলাম (রহঃ) এর সূত্রে উক্ত হাদীস বর্ণনা করেন। তবে মালিক ও রাওহ (রহঃ) এর হাদীস পরিপূর্ণ ও বেশী নির্ভরযোগ্য। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০২১, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
