Surah Fussilat (“Explained in detail”) is the 41st surah of the Quran: a Makkan surah of 54 ayahs.
Background
A Makkan surah, also called Ha-Mim As-Sajdah. It is reported that its recitation left the Quraysh envoy ‘Utbah ibn Rabi‘ah astonished.
Main themes
- The creation of the heavens and earth in stages
- Hearing, sight and skin will testify against the sinners (20–22)
- Angels descend on those who say “Our Lord is Allah” and stand firm (30)
- Repel evil with what is better, and an enemy becomes a close friend (34)

حمٓ ١
Ha, Meem.
تَنزِيلٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٢
[This is] a revelation from the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful -
كِتَٰبٌۭ فُصِّلَتْ ءَايَٰتُهُۥ قُرْءَانًا عَرَبِيًّۭا لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَعْلَمُونَ ٣

সূরা হা-মীম আস-সাজদা (অর্থ: “সুস্পষ্ট বিবরণ (ফুসসিলাত)”) কুরআনের ৪১ নম্বর সূরা। এটি মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ, আয়াত সংখ্যা ৫৪।
প্রেক্ষাপট
মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ; একে হা-মীম আস-সাজদাও বলা হয়। বর্ণিত আছে, এর তিলাওয়াত শুনে কুরাইশ দূত উতবা ইবনে রাবী‘আ বিস্মিত হয়ে ফিরে গিয়েছিল।

- ধাপে ধাপে আসমান-জমিনের সৃষ্টি
- কান, চোখ ও চামড়া পাপীদের বিরুদ্ধে সাক্ষ্য দেবে (২০–২২)
- যারা বলে “আমাদের রব আল্লাহ” ও অবিচল থাকে, তাদের উপর ফেরেশতা নাযিল হয় (৩০)
