Surah Ya-Sin (“Yaseen”) is the 36th surah of the Quran: a Makkan surah of 83 ayahs.
Background
A Makkan surah opening with the letters Ya-Sin. It sets out the three foundations of faith — tawhid, messengership and the Hereafter — in a moving, rhythmic style.
Main themes
- The people of the town and the man who said “O my people, follow the messengers” (13–27)
- Signs: the dead earth revived, night and day, the sun and moon in their orbits

يسٓ ١
Ya, Seen.
وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ ٢
By the wise Qur'an.
إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ٣
Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers,

প্রেক্ষাপট
মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ; ইয়া-সীন হরফ দিয়ে শুরু। হৃদয়স্পর্শী ছন্দে ঈমানের তিন ভিত্তি — তাওহীদ, রিসালাত ও আখিরাত তুলে ধরা হয়েছে।
