। আবদুল্লাহ ইবনু মুহাম্মদ ইবনু তামীম (রহঃ) ... আবদুর রহমান ইবনু আবযা (রহঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত। এক ব্যাক্তি উমার (রাঃ) এর নিকট এসে বলল, আমি জানবাতগ্রস্ত হয়েছি কিন্তু পানি পেলাম না। উমর (রাঃ) বললেন তুমি সালাত আদায় করোনা। তখন আম্মার (রাঃ) বললেন হে আমীরুল মুমিনীন! আপনার স্মরণ আছে কি? একবার আমি এবং আপনি এক যুদ্ধে ছিলাম আর আমরা জানবাতগ্রস্থ হলাম কিন্তু পানি পাচ্ছিলাম না। তখন আপনি সালাত আদায় করলেন না। কিন্তু আমি মাটিতে গড়াগড়ি দিলাম এবং সালাত আদায় করলাম। পরবর্তীতে যখন রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর নিকট তা ব্যক্ত করলাম, তিনি বললেনঃ তোমার জন্য এ ই যথেষ্ট ছিল, এ বলে রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম মাটিতে হাত রাখলেন এবং উভয় হাতে ফুঁ দিলেন তারপর উভয় হাত দ্বারা আপন মুখমণ্ডল ও উভয় কব্জি মাসেহ করলেন। সালামা সন্দেহ করে বলেন, আমার জানা নেই (তিনি এতে উভয় কনুই বলেছেন না উভয় কব্জি বলেছেন)। উমার (রাঃ) বললেন, তুমি যা করলে, তার দায়দায়িত্ব তোমার উপরেই অর্পণ করলাম। শু’বা (রহঃ) বলেন, তিনি উভয় হাত, বাহুদ্বয় এবং মুখমণ্ডলের কথা বলতেন। এজন্য মানসুর তাকে বললেন, আপনি কি বলছেন? আপনি ব্যতীত কেউই বাহুর কথা উল্লেখ করেন নি। এজন্য সালামার সন্দেহ হল। তিনি বললেনঃ আমার স্মরণ নেই তিনি বাহুর কথা উল্লেখ করেছেন কিনা।
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abza, from his father, that a man came to 'Umar, may Allah be please with him, and said:"I have become Junub and I cannot find any water." 'Umar said: "Do not pray." 'Ammar said: "Do you not remember, O Commander of the Believers, when you and I were on a campaign and became Junub, and we could not find any water. You did not pray, but I rolled in the dust then prayed. When we came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) I told him about that and he said: 'This would have been sufficient for you,' and then Prophet (ﷺ) struck the earth with his hands then blew on them and wiped his face and hands - (one of the narrators) Salamah was uncertain and said: "I do not know if he said it should be up to the elbows or just the hands." - 'Umar said: "We will let you bear the burden of what you took upon yourself." (One of the narrators) Shu'bah said: "He used to say the hands, face and forearms." (Another) Mansur said to him: "What are you saying? No one mentions the forearms except you." Salamah was not certain and said: "I do not know whether he mentioned the forearms or not
। ইসমাঈল ইবনু মাসউদ (রহঃ) ... ইবনু আবদুর রহমান (রহঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত। এক ব্যাক্তি জানবাতগ্রস্ত হলে উমর (রাঃ) এর নিকট এসে বলল, আমি জানবাত অবস্থায় উপনীত হয়েছি কিন্তু পানি পাই না। তিনি বললেন তুমি সালাত আদায় করো না। তখন আম্মার (রাঃ) বললেন আপনার কি স্মরণ নেই যে, আমরা এক যুদ্ধে ছিলাম। আমরা জানাবার অবস্থায় পতিত হলাম, তখন আমরা পানি পাইনি, এতে আপনি সালাত আদায় করলেন না কিন্তু আমি মাটিতে গড়াগড়ি দিলাম এবং সালাত আদায় করলাম। পরবর্তীতে রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর নিকট এসে তা বর্ণনা করলাম। তখন তিনি বললেনঃ তোমার জন্য এটাই যথেষ্ট ছিল, এ বলে শু’বা (রহঃ) একবার মাটিতে হাত মারলেন আর তাতে ফুঁ দিলেন আর তা দিয়ে এক হাত অন্য হাতের সাথে ঘষলেন এবং উভয় হাত দ্বারা মুখমণ্ডল মাসেহ করলেন। তখন উমার (রাঃ) বললেন, আমি জানি না এটা কি। আম্মার (রাঃ) বললেন, যদি আপনি চাহ তাহলে আমি এটা বর্ণনা করব না। সালামার বর্ণনায় অতিরিক্ত আছে যে, উমার (রাঃ) বললেনঃ তুমি যা বর্ণনা করলে, তার দায়দায়িত্ব তোমার।
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abdur-Rahman said:"A man became Junub and came to 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, and said: 'I have become Junub and I cannot find any water.' He said: 'Do not pray.' 'Ammar said to him: 'Do you not remember when we were on a campaign and became Junub. You did not prayed, then I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and told him that, and he said: 'This would have been sufficient for you.'" - (One of the narrators) Shu'bah struck his hands once and blew into them, then he rubbed them together, then wiped his face with them - ('Ammar said): "'Umar said something I did not understand." So he said: "If you wish, I shall not narrate it." Salamah mentioned something in this chain from Abu Malik, and Salamah added that he said: "Rather, we will let you bear the burden of what you tool upon yourself
। মুহাম্মদ ইবনু আ’লা (রহঃ) ... শাকীক থেকে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেনঃ আমি আবদুল্লাহ এবং আবূ মূসা (রাঃ) এর সঙ্গে বসা ছিলাম, তখন আবূ মূসা বললেন, আপনি কি আম্মারের কথা শুনেওনি য, তিনি উমার (রাঃ) কে বলেছিলেন, আমাকে রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এক কাজে পাঠালেন, আমি জানবাতগ্রস্ত হলে পানি পেলাম না। অতএব আমি মাটিতে গড়াগড়ি দিলাম। পরবর্তীতে রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর নিকট উপস্থিত হয়ে এ ঘটনা বর্ণনা করলাম। তিনি বললেনঃ তোমার জন্য এ-ই যথেষ্ট ছিল। এই বলে তিনি তার হস্তদ্বয় একবার মাটিতে মারলেন। তারপর উভয় হাতের তালু মুছলেন ও ঝাড়লেন, তারপর তার বামহাত ডানহাতের উপর মারলেন আর ডান হাত বামহাতের উপর এবং উভয় কব্জি ও মুখমণ্ডল মাসেহ করলেন। আবদুল্লাহ বললেন, তুমি কি দেখছ না যে, উমার (রাঃ) আম্মার (রাঃ) এর কথায় তৃপ্ত হননি।
It was narrated that Shaqiq said:"I was siting with 'Abdullah and Abu Musa, and Abu Musa said: 'Have you not heard what 'Ammar said to 'Umar: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent me on an errand and I became Junub, and I could not find water, so I rolled in the earth then I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and told him about.' He said: 'It would have been sufficient for you to do this,' and he struck the earth with his hands, then wiped his hands, then knocked them together to remove the dust, then he wiped his right hand with his left and his left hand with his right, palm to palm, and wiped his face.'" Then 'Abdullah said: "Did you not see that 'Umar was not convinced by what 'Ammar said?
। আমর ইবনু ইয়াযীদ (রহঃ) ... আবদুর রহমান ইবনু আবযা (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত। এক ব্যাক্তি উমর ইবনু খাত্তাব (রাঃ) কে তায়াম্মুম সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞাসা করল। এ প্রশ্নের তিনি কোন উত্তর খুঁজে পেলেন না। তখন আম্মার (রাঃ) বললেন, আপনার কি স্মরণ আছে? যখন আমরা যুদ্ধে ছিলাম, আমি জানবাতগ্রস্ত হলাম। তখন আমি মাটিতে গড়াগড়ি দিলাম। পরবর্তীতে রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর নিকট উপস্থিত হলে তিনি বললেনঃ তোমার এরূপ করাই যথেষ্ট ছিল। এ বলে শু’বা হাঁটুর উপর তার উভয় হাত মেরে তার হস্তদ্বয়ে ফুঁ দিলেন আর উভয় হাত দ্বারা তার মুখ ও হস্তদ্বয় একবার করে মাসেহ করলেন।
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abza, from his father, that a man asked 'Umar bin Al-Khattab about Tayammum and he did not know what to say. 'Ammar said:"Do you remember when we were on a campaign, and I became Junub and rolled in the dust, then I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and he said: 'This would have been sufficient.'" (One of the narrators) Shu'bah struck his hands on his knees and blew into his hands, then he wiped his face and palms with them once
