। আমর ইবনু ইয়াযীদ (রহঃ) ... আবদুর রহমান ইবনু আবযা (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত। এক ব্যাক্তি উমর ইবনু খাত্তাব (রাঃ) কে তায়াম্মুম সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞাসা করল। এ প্রশ্নের তিনি কোন উত্তর খুঁজে পেলেন না। তখন আম্মার (রাঃ) বললেন, আপনার কি স্মরণ আছে? যখন আমরা যুদ্ধে ছিলাম, আমি জানবাতগ্রস্ত হলাম। তখন আমি মাটিতে গড়াগড়ি দিলাম। পরবর্তীতে রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর নিকট উপস্থিত হলে তিনি বললেনঃ তোমার এরূপ করাই যথেষ্ট ছিল। এ বলে শু’বা হাঁটুর উপর তার উভয় হাত মেরে তার হস্তদ্বয়ে ফুঁ দিলেন আর উভয় হাত দ্বারা তার মুখ ও হস্তদ্বয় একবার করে মাসেহ করলেন।
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abza, from his father, that a man asked 'Umar bin Al-Khattab about Tayammum and he did not know what to say. 'Ammar said:"Do you remember when we were on a campaign, and I became Junub and rolled in the dust, then I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and he said: 'This would have been sufficient.'" (One of the narrators) Shu'bah struck his hands on his knees and blew into his hands, then he wiped his face and palms with them once
। মুহাম্মদ ইবনু বাশশার (রহঃ) ... আবদুর রহমান ইবনু আবযা (রহঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেনঃ আমরা উমার (রাঃ) নিকট ছিলাম। তার কাছে এক ব্যাক্তি এসে বলল, হে আমীরুল মুমিনীন! অনেক সময় আমরা এক মাস বা দুই মাস পর্যন্ত কোথাও অবস্থান করি আর আমরা পানি পাই না। উমার (রাঃ) বললেন, আমি পানি না পেলে সালাত আদায় করবার নই, যাবৎ না পানি পাই। তখন আম্মার ইবনু ইয়াসির (রাঃ) বললেনঃ হে আমীরুল মুমিনীন! আপনার মনে আছে কি, যখন আমরা অমুক অমুক স্থানে ছিলাম আর আমরা উট চরাতাম, আপনি জানেন যে আমরা জানবাতগ্রস্ত হলাম। তিনি বললেন, হ্যাঁ। তখন আমি মাটিতে গড়াগড়ি দিলাম। পরে আমরা রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর নিকট আসলে তিনি হেসে বললেনঃ মাটই তোমার জন্য যথেষ্ট ছিল, আর তিনি উভয় হাত মাটিতে মারলেন এবং তাতে ফুঁ দিলেন। তারপর তিনি তার চেহারা আর উভয় হাতের কিয়দংশ মসেহ করলেন। উমর (রাঃ) বললেনঃ হে আম্মার! আল্লাহকে ভয় কর। আম্মার বললেনঃ হে আমীরুল মুমিনীন! যদি আপনি চান আমি এটা বর্ণনা করব না। উমর (রাঃ) বললেনঃ না। কিন্তু আমার নিকট যা বর্ণনা করলে, এর দায়িত্বভার আমি তোমার উপর অর্পণ করলাম (তাই হাদিস বর্ণনায় সাবধানতা অবলম্বনের জন্য এটা বললাম)।
It was narrated that 'Abddur-Rahman bin Abza said:"We were with 'Umar when a man came to him and said: 'O Commander of the Believers! sometimes we stay for a month or two without finding any water. Umar said: As if I did not find water, I would not pray until I found water.' 'Ammar bin Yasir said: 'Do you remember, O Commander of the Believer, when you were in such and such a place and we were rearing the camels, and you know that we became Junub?' He said: 'Yes.' 'As for me I rolled in the dust, then we came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and he laughed and said: "Clean earth would have been sufficient for you." And he struck his hands on the earth then blew on them, then he wiped his face and part of his forearms. He ('Umar) said: "Fear Allah, O 'Ammar!'" He said: 'O Commander of the Believers! If you wish I will not mention it.' He said: 'No, we will let you bear the burden of what you took upon yourself
। ইসমাঈল ইবনু মাসউদ (রহঃ) ... ইবনু আবদুর রহমান (রহঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত। এক ব্যাক্তি জানবাতগ্রস্ত হলে উমর (রাঃ) এর নিকট এসে বলল, আমি জানবাত অবস্থায় উপনীত হয়েছি কিন্তু পানি পাই না। তিনি বললেন তুমি সালাত আদায় করো না। তখন আম্মার (রাঃ) বললেন আপনার কি স্মরণ নেই যে, আমরা এক যুদ্ধে ছিলাম। আমরা জানাবার অবস্থায় পতিত হলাম, তখন আমরা পানি পাইনি, এতে আপনি সালাত আদায় করলেন না কিন্তু আমি মাটিতে গড়াগড়ি দিলাম এবং সালাত আদায় করলাম। পরবর্তীতে রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর নিকট এসে তা বর্ণনা করলাম। তখন তিনি বললেনঃ তোমার জন্য এটাই যথেষ্ট ছিল, এ বলে শু’বা (রহঃ) একবার মাটিতে হাত মারলেন আর তাতে ফুঁ দিলেন আর তা দিয়ে এক হাত অন্য হাতের সাথে ঘষলেন এবং উভয় হাত দ্বারা মুখমণ্ডল মাসেহ করলেন। তখন উমার (রাঃ) বললেন, আমি জানি না এটা কি। আম্মার (রাঃ) বললেন, যদি আপনি চাহ তাহলে আমি এটা বর্ণনা করব না। সালামার বর্ণনায় অতিরিক্ত আছে যে, উমার (রাঃ) বললেনঃ তুমি যা বর্ণনা করলে, তার দায়দায়িত্ব তোমার।
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abdur-Rahman said:"A man became Junub and came to 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, and said: 'I have become Junub and I cannot find any water.' He said: 'Do not pray.' 'Ammar said to him: 'Do you not remember when we were on a campaign and became Junub. You did not prayed, then I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and told him that, and he said: 'This would have been sufficient for you.'" - (One of the narrators) Shu'bah struck his hands once and blew into them, then he rubbed them together, then wiped his face with them - ('Ammar said): "'Umar said something I did not understand." So he said: "If you wish, I shall not narrate it." Salamah mentioned something in this chain from Abu Malik, and Salamah added that he said: "Rather, we will let you bear the burden of what you tool upon yourself
। আব্বাস ইবনু আবদুল আযীয আম্বারী (রহঃ) ... আম্মার ইবনু ইয়াসির (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেনঃ আমরা রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর সাথে মাটি দ্বারা তায়ম্মুম করলাম। এতে আমাদের চেহারা এবং কাঁধ পর্যন্ত আমাদের হাত মাসেহ করেছিলাম।
It was narrated that 'Ammar bin Yasir said:"We did Tayammum with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) using dust, and we wiped our faces and our arms up to the shoulders
