কুতায়বা (রহঃ) ... আব্দুল্লাহ ইবন উমর (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত যে, রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম সাদাকা এবং কারো কাছে কিছু না চাওয়ার বিষয়ে আলোচনা প্রসঙ্গে বলেছেনঃ উপরের হাত নীচের হাত থেকে উত্তম। উপরের হাত হল দাতার হােত আর নীচের হাত হল গ্ৰহীতার হাত।
It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Umar that:the Messenger of Allah said, when mentioning charity and those who refrain from asking. "The upper hand is better than the lower hand; the upper hand is that which gives and the lower hand is that which asks
ইউসুফ ইবন ঈসা (রহঃ) ... তারিকুল মুহারিবী (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, আমরা একবার মদীনায় আসলাম, তখন রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম মাত্র মিম্বারের উপর দাঁড়িয়ে উপস্থিত লোকদের সামনে খুতবা দিচ্ছিলেন এবং বলছিলেনঃ দাতার হাত হল উপরের হাত। আর দান করা শুরু করবে স্বীয় পোষ্যদের থেকে- তোমার আম্মা, আব্বা, ভাই-বোন, তারপর তোমার নিকটাত্মীয়, নিকটাত্মীয়। (সংক্ষিপ্ত)
It was narrated that Tariq Al-Muharibi said:"We came to Al-Madinah and the Messenger of Allah was standing on the Minbar addressing the people and saying: 'The hand which gives is the upper hand. Start with those for whom you are responsible; your mother, your father, your sister, your brother, then the next closest, and the next closet
কুতায়বা (রহঃ) ... আবু হুরায়রা (রাঃ) সূত্রে রাসুলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, উত্তম দান হল নিজ প্রয়োজনের অতিরিক্ত জিনিস সাদাক করা। আর উপরের হাত নীচের হাত থেকে উত্তম, নিজ পোষ্য থেকে দান করা শুরু করবে।
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said:"The best of charity is that which is given when you are self-sufficient, and the upper hand is better than the lower hand, and start with those for whom you are responsible
কুতায়াবা (রহঃ) ... হাকীম ইবন হিযাম (রাঃ) বলেন যে, আমি রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর কাছে একবার সাহায্য চাইলে তিনি আমাকে সাহায্য করলেন। আবার সাহায্য চাইলে আবারও আমাকে সাহায্য করলেন। পুনরায় সাহায্য চাইলে তিনি সাহায্য করলেন এবং বললেন যে, এ সমস্ত ধন-সম্পদ খুবই মনোমুগ্ধকর এবং চিত্তাকর্ষক। তাই যে ব্যক্তি সেগুলো সন্তুষ্টচিত্তে গ্ৰহণ করবে সেগুলোতে তার জন্য বরকত দেওয়া হবে, আর যে ব্যক্তি সেগুলো লোভাতুর অন্তরে গ্রহণ করবে তার জন্য সেগুলোতে বরকত দেওয়া হবে না। আর সে ব্যক্তি তার মত যে আহার করল। কিন্তু পরিতৃপ্ত হতে পারুল না, আর উপরের হাত নীচের হাত থেকে উত্তম।
Sa'eed and 'Urwah narrated that they heard Hakim bin Hizam say:"I asked the Messenger of Allah and he gave me, then I asked him and he gave me, then I asked him and he gave me. Then he said: "This wealth is attractive and sweet. Whoever takes it without insisting, it will be blessed for him, and whoever takes it with avarice, it will not be blessed for him. He is like one who eats and is not satisfied. And the upper hand is better than the lower hand
