। উম্মু সালামাহ (রাঃ) থেকে নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর সূত্রে পূর্বোক্ত হাদীস বর্ণিত। ইমাম আবূ দাঊদ (রহঃ) বলেন, অপর সনদে নাফি থেকে সাফিয়্যাহ (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত হয়েছে।
The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Umm Salamah from the Prophet (ﷺ) through a different chain of narrators. Abu Dawud said:Ibn Ishaq and Ayyub b. Musa transmitted it from Nafi' from Safiyyah
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ، أَنَّهَا أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حِينَ ذَكَرَ الإِزَارَ فَالْمَرْأَةُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ . قَالَ " تُرْخِي شِبْرًا " . قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ إِذًا يَنْكَشِفُ عَنْهَا . قَالَ " فَذِرَاعًا لاَ تَزِيدُ عَلَيْهِ " .
। সাফিয়্যাহ বিনত আবূ উবাইদ (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বর্ণনা করেন যে, একদা নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর স্ত্রী উম্মু সালামাহ (রাঃ) রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে প্রশ্ন করলেন, যখন তিনি পরিধেয় বস্ত্র সম্পর্কে আলোচনা করছিলেন হে আল্লাহর রাসূল! নারীদের ইযার ব্যবহারের বিধান কি? তিনি বললেনঃ তারা এক বিঘত নীচে পর্যন্ত ঝুলিয়ে পড়তে পারে। উম্মু সালামাহ (রাঃ) বলেন, এতেও তার কিছু অংশ খোলা থাকবে। তিনি বলেনঃ তবে এক হাত ঝুলিয়ে পড়বে; এর বেশী নয়।[1] সহীহ।
Safiyyah, daughter of AbuUbayd, said:When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) mentioned lower garment, Umm Salamah, wife of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), asked him: And a woman, Messenger of Allah? He replied: She may hang down a span. Umm Salamah said: Still it (foot) will be uncovered. He said: Then a forearm's length, nor exceeding it
। ইবনু উমার (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম উম্মুল মু‘মিনীনদের জন্য এক বিঘত আচল (নীচে) ঝুলানোর অনুমতি দিতেন। অতঃপর তারা আরো বাড়িয়ে দেয়ার আবেদন জানালে তিনি তাদের জন্য আরো এক বিঘত বাড়ানোর অনুমতি দিয়েছেন। অতঃপর তারা আমাদের নিকট তাদের কাপড় পাঠিয়ে দিতেন। আর আমরা এক গজ করে মেপে দিতাম।[1] সহীহ।
Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) gave licence to the Mothers of the believers (i.e. the wives of the Prophet) to hang down their lower garment a span. Then they asked him to increase it, and he increased one span for them. They would send (the garment) to us and we would measure it one forearm's length for them
। দিহয়া ইবনু খলীফা আল-কালবী (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর নিকট কিছু মিসরীয় কাপতান কাপড় এলো। তিনি সেগুলো থেকে আমাকে একটি কাতান দিয়ে বললেনঃ এটাকে দু’ টুকরা করো। এক টুকরা কেটে জামা বানাবে এবং অপরটি তোমার স্ত্রীকে ওড়না বানাতে দিবে। তিনি ফিরে যাওয়ার সময় নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে বললেনঃ তোমার স্ত্রীকে এর নীচের আর একটি কাপড় লাগিয়ে নিতে বলবে, যেন তার দেহের আকৃতি দেখা না যায়।[1] দুর্বল।
Narrated Dihyah ibn Khalifah al-Kalbi:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was brought some pieces of fine Egyptian linen and he gave me one and said: Divide it into two; cut one of the pieces into a shirt and give the other to your wife for veil. Then when he turned away, he said: And order your wife to wear a garment below it and not show her figure. Abu Dawud said: Yahya b. Ayyub transmitted it and said: 'Abbas b. 'Ubaid Allah b. 'Abbas
