Surah Al-Buruj (“The Constellations”) is the 85th surah of the Quran: a Makkan surah of 22 ayahs.
Background
Revealed in Makkah when the believers were persecuted, recalling earlier believers who were burned for their faith.

- They resented them only because they believed in Allah (8)

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْبُرُوجِ ١
By the sky containing great stars
وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْمَوْعُودِ ٢
And [by] the promised Day
وَشَاهِدٍۢ وَمَشْهُودٍۢ ٣
And [by] the witness and what is witnessed,
