Surah Al-Inshiqaq (“The Splitting Open”) is the 84th surah of the Quran: a Makkan surah of 25 ayahs.

A Makkan surah about the Day of Judgement, with a sajdah at ayah 21.

The opening ayahs
إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنشَقَّتْ ١
When the sky has split [open]
وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ ٢
And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so]
وَإِذَا ٱلْأَرْضُ مُدَّتْ ٣
And when the earth has been extended
