তিনি বলেন যে, আমি একবার রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর কাছে কিছু সাহায্য চাইলে তিনি আমাকে সাহায্য করলেন। অতঃপর তার কাছে আবারও সাহায্য চাইলে তিনি আবার আমাকে সাহায্যে করলেন। এরপর আমি তার কাছে সাহায্য চাইলে তিনি আমাকে পুনরায় সাহায্য করলেন। রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এরপর বললেন, হে হাকীম! এ সমস্ত ধন-সম্পদ মনমুগ্ধকর বটে। তবে যে ব্যক্তি এগুলো সন্তুষ্টচিত্তে গ্ৰহণ করে তার জন্য তাতে বরকত দেওয়া হয়, আর যে ব্যক্তি লোভাতুর অন্তরে গ্রহণ করে তার জন্য তাতে কোন বরকত দেওয়া হয় না, সে ঐ ব্যক্তির ন্যায় যে আহার করে কিন্তু পরিতৃপ্ত হয় না। আর উপরের হাত নীচের হাত থেকে উত্তম।
It was narrated that Kakim bin Hizam said:"I asked the Messenger of Allah and he gave me, then I asked him and he gave me, then I asked him and he gave me. Then he said: This wealth is attractive and sweet. Whoever takes it without insisting, it will be blessed for him, and whoever takes it with avarice, it will not be blessed for him. He is like one who eats and is not satisfied. And the upper hand is better than the lower hand
তিনি বলেন যে, রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, সাহায্য চাওয়া এমন একটি ক্ষত যা দ্বারা মানুষ স্বীয় চেহারাকে বিকৃত করে দেয়। তবে হ্যাঁ, কোন মানুষ শাসনকর্তার নিকট সাহায্য চাইতে পারে অথবা অত্যাবশ্যকীয় বস্তু চাইতে পারে।
It was narrated that Samurah bin Jundab said:"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Begging will be but lacerations on a man's face (on the Day of Resurrection). Unless he asks a man in authority or when he has no alternative
তিনি বলেন যে, আমি একবার রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর কাছে কিছু সাহায্য চাইলে তিনি আমাকে সাহায্য করলেন। তার কাছে আবারও কিছু সাহায্য চাইলে তিনি আমাকে কিছু সাহায্য করলেন। পুনরায় সাহায্য চাইলে আমাকে সাহায্য করলেন। এরপর রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেন, হে হাকীম! এ সমস্ত ধন-সম্পদ উত্তম এবং উৎকৃষ্ট। যে ব্যক্তি সেগুলো সন্তুষ্টচিত্তে গ্রহণ করে তার জন্য তাতে বরকত দেওয়া হয়। আর যে ব্যক্তি তা লোভাতুর অন্তরে গ্রহণ করে তার জন্য তাতে বরকত দেওয়া হয় না। সে ঐ ব্যক্তির ন্যায় যে আহার করে কিন্তু পরিতৃপ্ত হতে পারে না। আর উপরের হাত নীচের হাত থেকে উত্তম।

তিনি বলেন যে, রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ সাহায্য চাওয়া এমন একটি ক্ষত যদ্দারা মানুষ স্বীয় চেহারাকে বিকৃত করে দেয়। তাই যার ইচ্ছন্ন হয় সে চেহারাকে ক্ষতযুক্ত করুক, আর যার ইচ্ছা হয় সে না করুক। তবে হ্যাঁ; কোন মানুষ শাসনকর্তার নিকট সাহায্য চাইতে পারে অথবা এমন কোন জিনিস সাহায্য চাইতে পারে যা তার একান্ত দরকার।

So whoever wants his face to be lacerated (let him ask), and whoever does not want that (let him not ask): except in the case of a man who asks a Sultan, or he asks when he can find no alternative
