ইয়াহইয়া ইবনু ইয়াহইয়া (রহঃ) ..... আবু হুরাইরাহ্ (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত যে, রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ এক ব্যক্তি পথ চলাকালে একটি কাটাযুক্ত গাছের ডাল রাস্তায় পেয়ে তা সরিয়ে দিল, তখন আল্লাহ তা'আলা তার প্রতিদানে তাকে ক্ষমা করে দিলেন। তিনি আরও বললেন, শহীদ পাচ প্রকারঃ ১. প্লেগগ্রস্ত, ২. উদরাময়গ্রস্ত, ৩. ডুবন্ত,৪. কোন কিছু চাপা পড়ে মৃত ব্যক্তি এবং ৫. আল্লাহর পথে (জীবনদানকারী) শহীদ। [দ্রষ্টব্য হাদীস ৬৬৫৯] (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪৭৮৭, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that the, Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:While a man walks along a path, finds a thorny twig lying on the way and puts it aside, Allah would appreciate it and forgive him The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The martyrs are of five kinds: one who dies of plague; one who dies of diarrhoea (or cholera) ; one who is drowned; one who is buried under debris and one who dies fighting in the way of Allah
যুহায়র ইবনু হারব (রহঃ) ..... আবূ হুরাইরাহ্ (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেনঃ তোমরা তোমাদের মধ্যকার কাদেরকে শহীদ বলে গণ্য কর? তারা বললেন, “হে আল্লাহর রসূল! যে ব্যক্তি আল্লাহর পথে জীবন দেয় সে তো শহীদ।" তিনি বললেন, তবে তা আমার উম্মাতের শহীদের সংখ্যা অতি অল্প হবে। তখন তারা বললেন, তাহলে তারা কারা হে আল্লাহর রসূল! বললেন, যে ব্যক্তি আল্লাহর রাহে (জিহাদে) নিহত হয় সে শহীদ। যে ব্যক্তি আল্লাহর রাহে (অন্য কোন সৎকাজে) মৃত্যুবরণ করে সেও শহীদ। যে ব্যক্তি প্লেগে মারা যায় সেও শহীদ, যে ব্যক্তি উদরাময়ে মারা যায় সেও শহীদ। ইবনু মিকসাম (রহঃ) বলেন, আমি তোমার পিতার উপর এ হাদীসের ব্যাপারে সাক্ষ্য দিচ্ছি যে, তিনি আরও বলেছেন, যে ব্যক্তি পানিতে ডুবে মারা যায় এমন ব্যক্তিও শহীদ। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪৭৮৮, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira (through another chain of transmitters) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:Whom do you consider to be a martyr among you? They (the Companions) said: Messenger, of Allah, one who is slain in the way of Allah is a martyr. He said: Then (if this is the definition of a martyr) the martyrs of my Umma will be small in number. They asked: Messenger of Allah, who are they? He said: One who is slain in the way of Allah is a martyr; one who dies in the way of Allah, is a martyr; one who dies of plague is a martyr; one who dies of cholera is a martyr. Ibn Miqsam said: I testify the truth of your father's statement (with regard to this tradition) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: One who is drowned is a martyr
আবদুল্লাহ ইবনু আবদুর রহমান ইবনু বাহরাম দারিমী (রহঃ) ..... সালমান (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, আমি রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম কে বলতে শুনেছি, একটি দিবস ও একটি রাতের সীমান্ত প্রহরা একমাস সিয়াম পালন এবং ইবাদাতে রাত জাগার চেয়েও শ্রেষ্ঠ। আর যদি এ অবস্থায় তার মৃত্যু ঘটে, তাতে তার এ আমলের সাওয়াব জারী থাকবে যে আমল সে করত এবং তার (শহীদসুলভ) রিযক অব্যাহত রাখা হবে এবং সে ব্যক্তি ফিৎনাসমূহ থেকে নিরাপদে থাকবে। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪৭৮৫, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
It has been narrated on the authority of Salman who said:I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: Keeping watch for a day and a night is better (in point of reward) than fasting for a whole month and standing in prayer every night. If a person dies (while, performing this duty), his (meritorious) activity will continue and he will go on receiving his reward for it perpetually and will be saved from the torture of the grave
