Ibn 'Umar reported:I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) praying (Nafl prayer) on a donkey's back while his face was turned towards Khaibar
আবূ কুরায়ব, ইবনু নুমায়র (রহঃ) ..... সকলে 'আবদুল মালিক (রহঃ) থেকে একই সানাদে অনুরূপ হাদীস বর্ণনা করেছেন। তবে ইবনুল মুবারাক ও ইবনু আবূ যায়িদাহ বর্ণিত হাদীসে এ কথা উল্লেখিত হয়েছে যে, হাদীসটি বর্ণনার পর আবদুল্লাহ ইবনু উমর (রাযিঃ) "তোমরা যেদিকেই মুখ কর না কেন সবই আল্লাহর দিক"- (সূরাহ আল বাকারাহ ২ঃ ১১৫)। এ আয়াতটি তিলাওয়াত করে বললেন, এ আয়াতটি এ ব্যাপারেই অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে। (ইসলামী ফাউন্ডেশন ১৪৮৩, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
This hadith has been narrated by another chain of transmitters and in the one narrated by Ibn Mubarak and Ibn Abu Za'ida (these words are narrated). Ibn 'Umar then recited:" Whether you turn thither is Allah's face," and it was revealed in this context
তিনি বলেন, একদিন আমি আবদুল্লাহ ইবনু উমারের সাথে মাক্কার পথ ধরে চলছিলাম। ভোর হয়ে যাচ্ছে মনে করে এক সময় সওয়ারী থেকে নেমে বিতর সালাত আদায় করলাম এবং পরে তার কাছে গিয়ে পৌছলাম। তখন দেখে সওয়ার থেকে নেমে বিতর সালাত আদায় করলাম। এ কথা শুনে আবদুল্লাহ ইবনু উমার বললেন, রসূলুল্লাহসাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর জীবনে কি তোমার অনুসরণের জন্য উত্তম আদর্শ নেই। আমি বললাম, আল্লাহর শপথ! তা অবশ্যই আছে। তিনি বললেন, উটের পিঠে বসেই রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বিতর সালাত আদায় করতেন। (ইসলামী ফাউন্ডেশন ১৪৮৫, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
Sa'id b. Yasar reported:I was travelling along with Ibn 'Umar on the way to Mecca. Sa'id said: When I apprehended dawn, I dismounted (the ride) and observed Witr prayer and then again joined him. Ibn 'Umar said to me: Where were you? I said: I apprehended the appearance of dawn, so I dismounted and observed Witr prayer. Upon this 'Abdullah said: Is there not a model pattern for you in the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)? I said: Yes, by Allah, and (then) he said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to observe Witr prayer on the camel's back
উবায়দুল্লাহ ইবনু উমার আল কাওয়ারীরী (রহঃ) ..... আবদুল্লাহ ইবনু উমার (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম মাক্কাহ থেকে মদীনায় আসার পথে যে দিকেই তার মুখ হোক না কেন সওয়ারীতে বসে সালাত আদায় করতেন। এ ব্যাপারেই আয়াত (অর্থ) "তোমরা যেদিকেই মুখ ফিরাবে সেটিই আল্লাহর দিক"- (সুরাহ আল বাকারাহ ২ঃ ১১৫) অবতীর্ণ হয়। (ইসলামী ফাউন্ডেশন ১৪৮২, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
Ibn 'Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say prayer on his camel while coming from Mecca to Medina, in whatever direction his face had turned; and its was (in this context) that this verse was revealed:" So whether you turn thither is Allah's face" (ii)
