রেওয়ায়ত ১৫. ইয়াহইয়া ইবন সাঈদ (রহঃ) হইতে বর্ণিত- এক ব্যক্তি ‘আকিক’ নামক স্থানে লোকের ইমামতি করিত। উমর ইবন আবদুল আযীয (রহঃ) লোক প্রেরণ করিয়া তাহাকে ইমামতি করিতে নিষেধ করিলেন। মালিক (রহঃ) বললেনঃ তাহাকে তিনি নিষেধ করিয়াছেন এই কারণে যে, তাহার পিতার পরিচয় ছিল না।
Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said that a man used to lead the people in prayer in al-Aqiq (a place near Madina), and Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz sent a message to him forbidding him to do so. Malik said, "He only forbade him because his father was not known
রেওয়ায়ত ১৪. নাফি (রহঃ) বলিয়াছেনঃ আমি (পাঞ্জেগানা) নামাযসমূহের কোন এক নামাযে আবদুল্লাহ ইবন উমর (রাঃ)-এর পশ্চাতে দাঁড়াইয়াছিলাম। তাহার সহিত আমি ভিন্ন আর কেহ ছিল না। তখন আবদুল্লাহ ইবন উমর (রাঃ) পিছনে হাত বাড়াইয়া আমাকে ধরিয়া ডান পার্শ্বে তাহার বরাবরে দাঁড় করাইয়া দিলেন।
Yahya related to me from Malik that Nafi said, "I stood behind Abdullah ibn Umar in one of the prayers when there was no one else with him, and he reached behind with his hand and placed me beside him
রেওয়ায়ত ১৬. আনাস ইবন মালিক (রাঃ) হইতে বর্ণিত- রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এক ঘোড়ায় আরোহণ করিয়াছিলেন। অতঃপর ঘোড়া হইতে পড়িয়া তাহার ডান পার্শ্বের (কিছু অংশ) ছড়িয়া গিয়াছিল। ফলে (পাঞ্জেগানা) নামাযসমূহের কোন এক নামায তিনি বসিয়া পড়িয়াছেন। আমরাও তাহার পিছনে বসিয়া নামায পড়িলাম। নামায শেষে তিনি বলিলেনঃ অনুসরণের জন্যই ইমাম নিযুক্ত করা হইয়াছে। কাজেই ইমাম দাঁড়াইয়া নামায পড়িলে তোমরাও দাঁড়াইয়া নামায পড়, ইমাম রুকুতে গেলে তোমরাও রুকুতে যাও, ইমাম মাথা উঠাইলে তোমরাও মাথা তোল। ইমাম যখন (سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ) বলেন, তোমরা বল (رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ) আর ইমাম বসিয়া নামায পড়িলে তোমরা সকলেই বসিয়া নামায পড়।
Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Anas ibn Malik that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, fell off his horse when riding, and his right side was scraped, so he did one of the prayers sitting, and we prayed behind him sitting. When he left, he said, "The imam is appointed to be followed. If he prays standing, then pray standing, and when he goes into ruku, go into ruku, and when he rises, rise, and when he says, 'Allah hears whoever praises him,' say, 'Our Lord, praise belongs to You,' and if he prays sitting, then all of you pray sitting
রেওয়ায়ত ১৩. আবু হুরায়রা (রাঃ) হইতে বর্ণিত, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলিয়াছেনঃ তোমাদের কেহ (ইমাম নিযুক্ত হইয়া) লোকদের নামায পড়াইলে, সে যেন নামায সংক্ষিপ্ত পড়ে, কেননা তাহাদের মধ্যে আছে রুগ্ন, দুর্বল ও বৃদ্ধ ব্যক্তি। আর কেহ একা নামায পড়িলে সে যত ইচ্ছা লম্বা করিতে পারিবে।

But when you pray on your own, make it as long as you wish
