তিনি বলেন, আল্লাহর নবী সুলাইমানের ষাটজন স্ত্রী ছিল। একদা সুলাইমান (আঃ) বললেন, আজ রাতে আমি অবশ্য অবশ্যই আমার সব স্ত্রীর কাছে যাব। যার ফলে স্ত্রীরা সবাই অবশ্যই গর্ভবতী হয়ে এক একজন অশ্বারোহী প্রসব করবে যারা আল্লাহর পথে জিহাদ করবে। অতএব সুলাইমান (রাঃ) তাঁর সব স্ত্রীর কাছে গেলেন, তবে তাদের একজন স্ত্রী ব্যতীত আর কেউ গর্ভবতী হলো না। সেও প্রসব করলো একটি অপূর্ণাঙ্গ সন্তান। নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেনঃ যদি সুলাইমান (আঃ) ইনশা-আল্লাহ্ বলতেন, তাহলে অবশ্যই স্ত্রীরা সবাই গর্ভবতী হত এবং এমন সন্তান প্রসব করতো যারা অশ্বারোহী হয়ে আল্লাহর রাস্তায় জিহাদ করত। (আধুনিক প্রকাশনী- ৬৯৫১, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন)
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Prophet Solomon who had sixty wives, once said, "Tonight I will have sexual relation (sleep) with all my wives so that each of them will become pregnant and bring forth (a boy who will grow into) a cavalier and will fight in Allah's Cause." So he slept with his wives and none of them (conceived and) delivered (a child) except one who brought a half (body) boy (deformed). Allah's Prophet said, "If Solomon had said; 'If Allah Will,' then each of those women would have delivered a (would-be) cavalier to fight in Allah's Cause." (See Hadith No. 74 A, Vol)
তিনি বলেন, আমি একদল লোকের সঙ্গে রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর কাছে বায়‘আত করেছি। তিনি বললেনঃ আমি তোমাদের বায়‘আত এ শর্তে কবূল করছি যে, তোমরা আল্লাহর সঙ্গে কোন কিছুকে শরীক করবে না, চুরি করবে না, তোমাদের সন্তানদের হত্যা করবে না, তোমাদের হাত ও পায়ের মধ্যবর্তী লজ্জাস্থানের ব্যাপারে কোন অপবাদ রটনা করবে না, কোন ন্যায়সঙ্গত কাজে আমার অবাধ্য হবে না। তোমাদের যারা এ সব পূর্ণ করবে, আল্লাহর কাছে তার প্রতিদান আছে। আর কেউ এ সব জিনিসের কোনটায় জড়িয়ে পড়লে তাকে যদি সে জন্য দুনিয়ায় শাস্তি দেয়া হয়, তাহলে তা হবে তার জন্য কাফ্ফারা এবং পবিত্রতা। আর যাদের দোষ আল্লাহ্ ঢেকে রাখেন সেটি আল্লাহর ইচ্ছাধীন। ইচ্ছা করলে শাস্তি দিবেন, ইচ্ছা করলে ক্ষমা করবেন। [১৮] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনী- ৬৯৫০, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন)
Narrated 'Ubada bin As-Samit:
I, along with a group of people, gave the pledge of allegiance to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). He said, "I take your Pledge on the condition that you (1) will not join partners in worship with Allah, (2) will not steal, (3) will not commit illegal sexual intercourse, (4) will not kill your offspring, (5) will not slander, (6) and will not disobey me when I order you to do good. Whoever among you will abide by his pledge, his reward will be with Allah, and whoever commits any of those sins and receives the punishment in this world, that punishment will be an expiation for his sins and purification; but if Allah screens him, then it will be up to Allah to punish him if He will or excuse Him, if He will
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم دَخَلَ عَلَى أَعْرَابِيٍّ يَعُودُهُ فَقَالَ " لاَ بَأْسَ عَلَيْكَ طَهُورٌ، إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ ". قَالَ قَالَ الأَعْرَابِيُّ طَهُورٌ، بَلْ هِيَ حُمَّى تَفُورُ عَلَى شَيْخٍ كَبِيرٍ، تُزِيرُهُ الْقُبُورَ. قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " فَنَعَمْ إِذًا ".
ইবনু ‘আব্বাস (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এক বেদুঈনের কাছে প্রবেশ করলেন তার রোগের খোঁজখবর নিতে। তিনি বললেনঃ তোমার চিন্তার কোন কারণ নেই। ইনশা আল্লাহ্ তুমি সুস্থ হয়ে যাবে। বেদুঈন করল সুস্থতা? না, বরং এটি এমন জ্বর যা একজন বেশি বুড়োকে সিদ্ধ করছে, ফলে তাকে কবরে নিয়ে ছাড়বে। নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেনঃ হ্যাঁ, তবে তাই। [৩৬১৬] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনী- ৬৯৫২, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন)
Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) entered upon a sick bedouin in whom he went to visit and said to him, "Don't worry, Tahur (i.e., your illness will be a means of cleansing of your sins), if Allah Will." The bedouin said, "Tahur! No, but it is a fever that is burning in the body of an old man and it will make him visit his grave." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Then it is so
আমি রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে বলতে শুনেছি, যখন তিনি মিম্বরে উপবিষ্ট ছিলেন। তিনি বললেনঃ তোমাদের আগের উম্মাতদের তুলনায় তোমাদের অবস্থানের সময়কাল ‘আসরের সালাত ও সূর্যাস্তের মধ্যবর্তী সময়। তাওরাতের ধারকদেরকে তাওরাত দেয়া হলে তারা সে মোতাবেক ‘আমল করল, তবে দুপুর হলে তারা অপারগ হয়ে গেল। এ জন্য তাদেরকে এক এক কীরাত করে পারিশ্রমিক দেয়া হলো। অতঃপর ইঞ্জিলের ধারকদেরকে ইঞ্জিল দেয়া হলো, তারা সে মোতাবেক ‘আমল করল ‘আসরের সালাত পর্যন্ত, তারপর তারা অক্ষম হয়ে পড়লে তাদেরকে দেয়া হলো এক কীরাত এক কীরাত করে। অতঃপর তোমাদেরকে কুরআন দেয়া হলো। ফলে এ কুরআন মোতাবেক তোমরা আসর থেকে সূর্যাস্ত পর্যন্ত ‘আমল করেছ। এ জন্য তোমাদেরকে দু’কীরাত দু’কীরাত করে পারিশ্রমিক দেয়া হয়েছে। তাওরাতের ধারকরা বললো, হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক! তারাতো আমলে সবচেয়ে কম আবার পারিশ্রমিকে সবচেয়ে অধিক। আল্লাহ্ তখন বললেনঃ তোমাদের পারিশ্রমিকে তোমাদের উপর কোন যুলুম করা হয়েছে কি? তারা বলল, না। তখন আল্লাহ্ বললেন, সেটি হচ্ছে আমার অনুগ্রহ, আমি যাকে চাই তাকে দিই। [৫৫৭] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনী- ৬৯৪৯, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন)
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar:
I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) while he was standing on the pulpit, saying, "The remaining period of your stay (on the earth) in comparison to the nations before you, is like the period between the `Asr prayer and sunset. The people of the Torah were given the Torah and they acted upon it till midday, and then they were worn out and were given for their labor, one Qirat each. Then the people of the Gospel were given the Gospel and they acted upon it till the time of the `Asr prayer, and then they were worn out and were given (for their labor), one Qirat each. Then you people were given the Qur'an and you acted upon it till sunset and so you were given two Qirats each (double the reward of the previous nations)." Then the people of the Torah said, 'O our Lord! These people have done a little labor (much less than we) but have taken a greater reward.' Allah said, 'Have I withheld anything from your reward?' They said, 'No.' Then Allah said, 'That is My Favor which I bestow on whom I wish
