তিনি বলেন, আমি আনাস (রাঃ)-এর সাথে হাকাম অর্থাৎ ইবন আইয়ুবের নিকট পৌঁছলাম এবং দেখলাম যে, কয়েকজন লোক আমীর (শাসনকর্তা)-এর বাড়িতে একটি মুরগীর প্রতি তীর নিক্ষেপ করছে। তখন তিনি বললেনঃ রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম কোন জন্তুকে বেঁধে লক্ষ্যস্থল বানাতে নিষেধ করেছেন।
It was narrated that Hisham bin Zaid said; "Ans and I entered upon Al-Hakam - that it, Ibn Ayyb - and there were some people shooting at a chicken in the house of the governor. He said:'The Messenger of Allah forbade using animals as targets;
তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম কয়েকজন লোকের নিকট দিয়ে যাবার সময় দেখতে পেলেন যে, তারা একটি ভেড়ার প্রতি তীর নিক্ষেপ করছে। তিনি এটা অপছন্দ করলেন এবং বললেনঃ পশুদের দ্বারা নিশানা বানাবে না।
It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Ja'far said:"The Messenger of Allah passed by some people who were shooting arrows at a ram. He denounced that and said: 'Do not disfigure animals (by using them as targets)." (Sahih)
আমর ইবন আলী (রহঃ) ... ইবন আব্বাস (রাঃ) (وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا مِمَّا لَمْ يُذْكَرْ اسْمُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ) আয়াত প্রসঙ্গে বলেন, মুশরিকরা মুমিনদের সাথে ঝগড়া করে বলতো, আল্লাহ্ তা'আলা যা যবেহ করেছেন, তোমরা তা খাও না; অথচ তোমরা নিজেরা যা যবেহ করে থাক, তা খাও।
