তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ যদি কারো শপথ করতেই হয়, তবে সে যেন আল্লাহ্ ব্যতীত অন্য কারো নামে শপথ না করে। কুরায়শ গোত্র তাদের বাপ-দাদার নামে শপথ করতে। তিনি বললেনঃ তোমরা তোমাদের বাপ-দাদার নামে শপথ করো না।
It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said:"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever swears, let him not swear by anything other than Allah.'" The Quraish used to swear by their forefathers, and so he said: "Do not swear by your forefathers
তিনি বলেন, যখন আল্লাহ্ তা'আলা জান্নাত এবং জাহান্নাম সৃষ্টি করেন, তখন তিনি জিবরীল (আঃ)-কে এই বলে জান্নাতের দিকে পাঠান যে, জান্নাত এবং জান্নাতবাসীদের জন্য যা কিছু তাতে আমি প্রস্তুত করে রেখেছি, তা দেখে এসো। তিনি তা দেখে ফিরে এসে বললেনঃ আপনার পরাক্রমের শপথ! এই জান্নাতের কথা শুনতে পেলে কেউ তাতে প্রবেশ না করে ছাড়বে না। এরপর তাঁর আদেশে তা কষ্টকর ও অপছন্দনীয় বস্তু দ্বারা পরিবেষ্টন করা হলো। তারপর বললেন, সেখানে যাও এবং তা ও তার অধিবাসীদের জন্য যা প্রস্তুত করে রেখেছি তা দেখে এসো। তিনি গিয়ে লক্ষ্য করলেন যে, তা কষ্টদায়ক, মুসীবত ও অপছন্দনীয় বস্তু দ্বারা পরিবেষ্টন করে রাখা হয়েছে। তিনি বললেনঃ আপনার পরাক্রমের কসম! আমার আশংকা হচ্ছে যে, তাতে কেউ-ই প্রবেশ করবে না। আল্লাহ্ তা'আলা বললেনঃ যাও জাহান্নাম এবং জাহান্নামবাসীদের জন্য আমি তাতে যা কিছু তৈরি করে রেখেছি, তা দেখে এসো। জিবরীল (আঃ) তার দিকে দৃষ্টিপাত করে দেখলেন, তার এক অংশ অপর অংশের উপর চড়াও হচ্ছে। তিনি ফিরে এসে বললেনঃ আপনার পরাক্রমের শপথ! আমার আশংকা যে, এতে কেউ প্রবেশ করবে না। এরপর আল্লাহর আদেশে তাকে মুগ্ধকর বস্তু দ্বারা পরিবষ্টন করে দেয়া হলো। আল্লাহ্ বললেনঃ তুমি এখন গিয়ে তা দেখে এসো। তিনি গিয়ে দেখলেন যে, তাকে মুগ্ধকর বস্তু দ্বারা পরিবেষ্টন করে রাখা হয়েছে। তিনি ফিরে এসে বললেনঃ আপনার পরাক্রমের শপথ! এখন আমার আশংকা হচ্ছে যে, এতে প্রবেশ করা থেকে কেউ নাজাত পাবে না।
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said:"When Allah created Paradise and Hell, He sent Jibril, peace be upon him, to Paradise and said: 'Look at it and at what I have prepared for its people in it.' He looked at it, then he came back and said: 'By Your Glory, no one will hear of it but he will enter it.' So He commanded that it be surrounded by hardships and said: 'Go and look at it and at what I have prepared for its people in it.' He looked at it and saw that it had been surrounded with hardships. He (Jibril) said: 'By Your Glory, I fear that no one will enter it.' He (Allah) said: 'Go and look at the Fire and at what I have prepared for its people in it.' So he looked at it and parts of it were piled upon other parts. He came back and said: 'By Your Glory, no one will enter it.' So He commanded that it be surrounded with pleasures and said: 'Go and look at it.' So he looked at it and saw that it was surrounded with pleasures. He came back and said: 'By Your Glory, I fear that no one will be saved from it and all will enter it
যিয়াদ ইবন আইয়ূব (রহঃ) ... ইবন উমর (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত যে, রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ আল্লাহ্ তা'আলা তোমাদেরকে তোমাদের পিতাদের নামে কসম করতে নিষেধ করেছেন।
Yahya bin Abi Ishaq said:"A man from Banu Ghifar told me, in the gathering of Salim bin 'Abdullah, Salim bin 'Abdullah said: 'I heard 'Abdullah -that is, Ibn 'Umar- say: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah forbids you to swear by your forefathers
মুহাম্মদ ইবন ইয়াহইয়া ইবন আবদুল্লাহ্ (রহঃ) ... সালিম (রহঃ) তাঁর পিতা হতে বর্ণনা করেন, তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম যা দ্বারা শপথ করতেন তা ছিল (لاَ وَمُصَرِّفِ الْقُلُوبِ) না, যিনি অন্তরসমূহকে ঘুরিয়ে দেন, তাঁর শপথ।
