। ইয়াহইয়া ইবনু হাবীব (রহঃ) ... আয়িশা (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত যে, হামযা ইবনু আমর আসলামী (রাঃ) রাসুলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেনঃ ইয়া রাসুলাল্লাহ! আমি সর্বদা সাওম পালনকারী ব্যক্তি। তাই আমি কি সফরকালীন সময়ে সাওম পালন করব? তিনি বললেনঃ যদি তোমার ইচ্ছা হয় তবে সাওম পালন করবে আর যদি ইচ্ছা হয় তবে সাওম ভঙ্গ করে ফেলবে।
It was narrated from 'Aishah that Hamzah bin 'Amr Al-Aslami asked the Messenger of Allah:"O Messenger of Allah, I am a man who fasts continually: shoud I fast when traveling?" He said: "Fast if you wish and break you fast if you wish." 'Ata said: "someone who heard him told me that Ibn 'Umar (said) that the Prophet said: 'Whoever fasts every day of his life, and then he has not fasted
। মুহাম্মাদ ইবনু বাশশার (রহঃ) ... আবূ কাতাদা (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত যে, রাসুলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম কে তার সাওম সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞাসা করলে তিনি রাগান্বিত হয়ে গেলেন, তখন উমর (রাঃ) বললেন যে, আমরা রব হিসাবে আল্লাহর উপর, ধর্ম হিসাবে ইসলামের উপর এবং রাসুল হিসারে মুহাম্মদ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর উপর সন্তুষ্ট। আরেকবার সর্বদা সাওম পালনকারী ব্যক্তি সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞাসিত হলে তিনি বললেনঃ তার সাওম পালনও গ্রহণযোগ্য নয়। তার সাওম ভঙ্গও গ্রহণযোগ্য নয়।
It was narrated from Abu Qatadah that:the Messenger of Allah was asked about his fasting and he got angry. 'Umr said: "We are content with Allah as our lord, Islam as our religion and Muhammad as or Prophet." And he was aksed about someone who fasted for the rest of his life and said: "He neither fasted nor broke his fast." 'Ata said: "someone who heard him told me that Ibn 'Umar (said) that the Prophet said: 'Whoever fasts every day of his life, then he has not fasted
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ قِيلَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَجُلٌ يَصُومُ الدَّهْرَ . قَالَ " وَدِدْتُ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَطْعَمِ الدَّهْرَ " . قَالُوا فَثُلُثَيْهِ قَالَ " أَكْثَرَ " . قَالُوا فَنِصْفَهُ قَالَ " أَكْثَرَ " . ثُمَّ قَالَ " أَلاَ أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِمَا يُذْهِبُ وَحَرَ الصَّدْرِ صَوْمُ ثَلاَثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ " .
। মুহাম্মদ ইবনু বাশশার (রহঃ) ... নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর এক সাহাবী থেকে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে বলা হল যে, এক ব্যক্তি সর্বদা সাওম পালন করে। তিনি বললেনঃ আমার মনে চায় সে যেন কখনো কিছু আহার না করে। সাহাবীরা বললেন, তাহলে বছরের দুই তৃতীয়াংশকালে সাওম পালন করুক? তিনি বললেন, তাও অধিক। সাহাবীরা বললেন, তাহলে সারা বছরের অর্ধেক? তিনি বললেন, তাও অধিক। অতঃপর তিনি বললেন, আমি কি তোমাদের অন্তরের ওয়াসওয়াসা বিদূরিত করার আমল সম্পর্কে অবহিত করব না? তা হল প্রত্যেক মাসের তিন দিন সাওম পালন করা।
It was narrated from 'Amr bin Shurahbil that a man from among the Companions of the Prophet said:'It was said to the Prophet that a man fasted for the rest of his life. He said: 'I wish that he had never eaten.' They said: 'Two-thirds (of a lifetime)?' He said: 'That is too much.' Then he said: 'Shall I not tell you of that which will take away impurity from the heart? Fasting three days each month." 'Ata said: "someone who heard him told me that Ibn 'Umar (said) that the Prophet said: 'Whoever fasts every day of his life, then he has not fasted
। হারুন ইবনু আব্দুল্লাহ (রহঃ) ... উমর (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, আমরা একবার রাসুলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর সাথে ছিলাম। আমরা এক ব্যক্তির পাশ দিয়ে যাচ্ছিলাম। সাহাবীরা বললেনঃ হে আল্লাহ্র নবী! এই ব্যক্তি দীর্ঘ দিন পর্যন্ত সাওম ভঙ্গ করে না। রাসুলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেনঃ তার সাওমও গ্রহণযোগ্য নয় আর তার সাওম ভঙ্গও গ্রহণযোগ্য নয়।
It was narrated that 'Umar said:"We were with the Messenger of Allah and we passed by a man. They said: 'O Prophet of Allah, this man has not broken his fast for such and such a time.' He said: 'He has neither fasted nor broken his fast."'
