তিনি বলেন, রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ যে ব্যক্তি কসম করে, এরপর অন্যটিকে উত্তম মনে করে, তবে সে যেন উত্তমটিই করে এবং কসম ছেড়ে দেয়। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪১৩০, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Adi b. Hatim reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:He who took an oath, but he found something else better than that, should do that which is better and break his oath
কুতাইবাহ ইবনু সাঈদ (রহঃ) ..... তামীম ইবনু তারাফাহ্ (রহঃ)-এর সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, আদী ইবনু হাতিম (রাযিঃ) এর নিকট একজন প্রার্থী আসল। সে একজন দাসের মূল্য কিংবা দাসের মূল্যের কিছু অংশ সাহায্য করার প্রার্থনা জানায়। তিনি বললেন, একটি বর্ম ও লোহার টুপি ব্যতীত আমার নিকট তোমাকে দেয়ার মত আর কিছুই নেই। আমি আমার ঘরে লিখে দিচ্ছি যেন তারা এ দুটি তোমাকে দিয়ে দেয়। রাবী বলেন, সে ব্যক্তি এতে রাজি হলো না। অাদী এতে ক্রোধাম্বিত হয়ে বললেনঃ আল্লাহর কসম! আমি তোমাকে কিছুই দিব না। পরে লোকটি রাযি হয়ে গেল। তখন তিনি বললেনঃ জেনে রেখো, আল্লাহর কসম! আমি যদি রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে এ কথা বলতে না শুনতাম যে, যে ব্যক্তি কোন ব্যাপারে কসম করে, অতঃপর তা অপেক্ষা বেশি আল্লাহর ভয়সম্পন্ন বিষয় দেখে, তবে সে যেন তাকওয়াপূর্ণ বিষয়টিই করে, তাহলে আমি আমার কসম ভঙ্গ করতাম না। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪১২৯, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Tamim b. Tarafa reported:A beggar came to 'Adi b. Hatim and he begged him to give him the price of a slave, or some portion of the price of the slave. He ('Adi) said: I have nothing to give you except my coat-of-mail and helmet. I will, however, write to my family to give that to you, but he did not agree to that. Thereupon 'Adi was enraged, and said: By Allah, I will not give you anything. The person (then) agreed to accept that, whereupon he said: By Allah, had I not heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying:" He who took an oath, but then found something more pious in the sight of Allah, he should (break the oath) and do that which is more pious," I would not have broken the oath (and thus paid you anything)
মুহাম্মাদ ইবনু ‘আবদুল্লাহ ইবনু নুমায়র ও মুহাম্মাদ ইবনু তারীফ বাজালী (রহঃ) ..... আদী (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ যখন তোমাদের কেউ কসম করে, এরপর তার চেয়ে উত্তম কিছু দেখে, তবে সে যেন তার কাফফারাহ আদায় করে এবং তা-ই যেন করে যা উত্তম। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪১৩১, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Adi reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:When anyone amongst you takes an oath, but he finds (something) better than that he should expiate (the breaking of the oath), and do that which is better
কাসিম ইবনু যাকারিয়্যা (রহঃ) ..... সুহায়ল (রহঃ) এর সূত্রে উক্ত সানাদে মালিক বর্ণিত হাদীসের মর্মানুরূপ বর্ণনা করেন। কিন্তু এতে রয়েছে, "সে যেন তার কসমের কাফফারাহ দেয় এবং তাই করে যা ভাল"। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪১২৮, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
This hadith is narrated on the authority of Suhail with the same chain of transmitters (with these words):" He should expiate for (breaking) the vow and do that which is better
