আমর আন নাকিদ ও ইবনু আবূ উমর (রহিমাহুমাল্লাহ) ..... যায়নাব বিনতু আবূ সালামাহ্ (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, যখন নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর সহধর্মিণী হাবীবাহ (রাযিঃ) এর কাছে তার পিতা আবূ সুফইয়ানের ইনতিকালের খবর পৌঁছল তখন তৃতীয় দিনে তিনি হলুদ বর্ণের সুগন্ধি চেয়ে পাঠালেন এবং তার দু'হাতে গায়ে ভাল করে তা মেখে নিলেন। আর বললেন, আমার এর কোন প্রয়োজন ছিল না। তবে আমি রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম কে বলতে শুনেছি যে, যে মহিলা আল্লাহ ও আখিরাতে বিশ্বাস রাখে তার পক্ষে কারো মৃত্যুতে তিন দিনের বেশি শোক পালন করা হালাল নয়। তবে স্বামীর মৃত্যুর ব্যাপারটি স্বতন্ত্র। কেননা সে তার স্বামীর মৃত্যুতে চারমাস দশদিন শোক পালন করবে। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৩৫৯২, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
Zainab bint Abu Salama reported that when the news of the death of Abu Safyan came to Umm Habiba she sent for yellow (perfume) on the third day and rubbed it on her forearms and on her cheeks and said:I had in fact no need of it, but I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: It is not permissible for the women believing in Allah and the Hereafter to abstain from adornment beyond three days except (at the death of) husband (in which case she must abstain from adornment) for four months and ten days
তিনি চোখে সুরমা ব্যবহার সংক্রান্ত উম্মু সালামাহ্ (রাযিঃ) বর্ণিত হাদীস এবং নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর সহধর্মিণীগণের মধ্যে থেকে কোন একজনের বর্ণিত হাদীস উল্লেখ করেছেন। তবে তিনি তার বর্ণনায় এতটুকু বেশি উল্লেখ করেছেন “মুহাম্মাদ ইবনু জাফার (রহঃ) বর্ণিত হাদীসের অনুরূপ। যায়নাব তার নাম উল্লেখ করেননি।” - (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৩৫৯০, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
Humaid b. Nafi' narrated two traditions from Umm Salama dealing with collyrium and the other hadith from the wives of Allah's Prophet (ﷺ) except with this that no mention was made of Zainab
ইয়াহইয়া ইবনু ইয়াহইয়া, কুতায়বাহ ও ইবনু রুমূহ (রহিমাহুমুল্লাহ) ..... হাফসাহ (রাযিঃ) কিংবা আয়িশাহ্ (রাযিঃ) থেকে পৃথকভাবে অথবা তাদের দু'জন থেকে যৌথভাবে বর্ণিত যে, রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, যে মহিলা আল্লাহ ও শেষ বিচার দিবসের প্রতি ঈমান রাখে কিংবা যে মহিলা আল্লাহ ও তার রসূলের প্রতি ঈমান রাখে তার পক্ষে কোন মৃতের জন্য তিন দিনের অধিক শোক পালন করা হালাল নয়। তবে তার স্বামীর মৃত্যুতে শোক পালন করবে। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৩৫৯৩, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
Safiyya bint Abu 'Ubaid reported on the authority of Hafsa or 'A'isha (Allah be pleased with thein) or from both of them that Allah's Messenger (may peace he upon him) said:It is not permissible for a woman believing in Allah and the Hereafter (or believing in Allah and His Messenger) that she should observe mourning for the dead beyond three days except in case of her husband
তিনি বলেন, আমি যায়নাব বিনতু উম্মু সালামাকে তার মায়ের সূত্রে বলতে শুনেছি যে, এক মহিলার স্বামী মারা গেল। লোকেরা তার চোখের ব্যাপারে আশংকাবোধ করল। তখন তারা নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর কাছে এলেন। তারা তার কাছে মহিলার চোখে সুরমা ব্যবহারের অনুমতি চাইল। তখন রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেনঃ জাহিলিয়্যাত যুগে স্বামীর মৃত্যুতে তোমাদের কেউ কেউ সাদা-মাটা কাপড়-চোপড় কিংবা ছিড়ে-ফাড়া বস্ত্র পরিধান করে একটি সংকীর্ণ কক্ষে পুরো এক বছর (ইদ্দাত পালনের জন্য) অতিবাহিত করত। এরপর কোন কুকুর তার নিকট দিয়ে অতিক্রম করলে সে উটের বিষ্ঠা নিক্ষেপ করে বাইরে বের হয়ে পড়ত। এ কুসংস্কারের পরিবর্তে চারমাস দশদিন পর্যন্ত প্রতীক্ষা করতে তোমরা কি সক্ষম হবে না? Zainab bint Umm Salama (Allah be pleased with her) reported on the authority of her mother that a woman lost her husband. (As her eyes were ailing) they (her kith and kin) entertained fear about her eyes, so they came to Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) and sought permission for the use of collyrium, whereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:One among you used to spend one year in a dungeon dressed in worst clothes. (And at the end of this period) she threw dung at the dog which happened to pass that way and then she came out (of her 'Idda). Can't she (wait) even for four months and ten days?
