তিনি বলেন, রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ তোমাদের কাউকেই যেন বিলালের আযান অবশ্যই তার সাহরী খাওয়া হতে বিরত না রাখে। কেননা সে রাতেই আযান দেয়, যাতে তোমাদের কিয়ামকারীগণ সাহরী খেতে শুরু করে এবং ঘুমন্ত ব্যক্তি সাহরী খাওয়ার জন্য জাগে। তিনি তার হাতে আঙ্গুল ফাঁকা করে দু'জনের আযানের সময়ের ব্যবধান বুঝালেন। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ২৪০৮, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
Ibn Mas'ud (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying The Adhan of Bilal should not restrain anyone among you from eating Sahur (last meal before daybreak during the month of Ramadan) for he announces Adhan (or he calls) at (the fag end of) the night to make him turn who stands for prayer among you, and to awaken those who are sleeping among you. And he said:The dawn is not like it, as one says (and he lifted his hand) till he (dispersed his fingers) and said: It is like this
ইবনু নুমায়র (রহঃ) ..... সুলায়মান আত তায়মী (রহঃ) এ সানাদে হাদীস বর্ণনা করেছেন, তবে তিনি বলেছেনঃ এটাকে ফাজর (ফজর) বলে না- এ বলে তিনি তার আঙ্গুলগুলো একত্র করলেন অতঃপর তা মাটির (পৃথিবীর) দিকে উল্টালেন। বরং ফাজর (ফজর) এটাকে বলে- এ বলে তিনি তাসবীহ পাঠের আঙ্গুলের উপর আরেক তাসবীহ পাঠের আঙ্গুল স্থাপন করে তার দু'হাত সম্প্রসারণ করলেন। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ২৪০৯, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
This hadith has been narrated by Sulaiman al-Taimi with the same chain of transmitters (but with a slight variation of words) that he (the Holy Prophet) said:The dawn is not like it as it is said; he then gathered his fingers and lowered them. But he said, it is like this (and he placed the index finger upon the other one and spread his hand)
وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، - رضى الله عنها - عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِمِثْلِهِ .
