। সুলায়মান ইবনে হাবীব (রহঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, আমরা আবূ উমামা (রা)-র নিকট প্রবেশ করলাম। তিনি আমাদের তরবারিতে রূপার অলঙ্করণ দেখতে পেয়ে অসন্তুষ্ট হন এবং বলেন, (আগেকার) লোকেরা বহু বিজয় অর্জন করেছিলো। কিন্তু তাদের তরবারি সোনা বা রূপা দ্বারা অলংকৃত ছিলো না, বরং শিশা, লোহা বা উটের রগ দ্বারা অলংকৃত ছিল। আবুল হাসান আল-কাত্তান (রহঃ) বলেন, হাদীসে উল্লিখিত শব্দ (علابي) ‘‘আলাবী’’-এর অর্থ ‘রগ’।
Sulaiman bin Habib said:“We entered upon Abu Umamah and he saw some silver ornaments on our swords. He got angry and said: ‘People conquered lands and their swords were not adorned with gold and silver, but with lead and iron and ‘Alabi.’”
। আবূ হুরায়রা (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত। নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেনঃ তোমাদের মধ্যে কাদের তোমরা শহীদ মনে করো? সাহাবীগণ বলেন, আল্লাহর পথে যারা নিহত হয়। তিনি বলেনঃ তাহলে তো আমার উম্মাতের শহীদের সংখ্যা কম হবে। যে ব্যক্তি আল্লাহর পথে নিহত হয় সে শহীদ, যে ব্যক্তি আল্লাহর রাস্তায় মারা যায় সে শহীদ, যে ব্যক্তি পেটের পীড়ায় মারা যায় সে শহীদ এবং যে ব্যক্তি মহামারীতে মারা যায় সেও শহীদ। সুহাইল (রহঃ) বলেন, উবায়দুল্লাহ ইবনে মিকসাম (রহঃ) আবূ সালিহ (রহঃ)-এর সূত্রে আমাকে অবহিত করেন যে, তিনি তার রিওয়ায়াতে আরো উল্লেখ করেছেনঃ পানিতে ডুবে মরা ব্যক্তিও শহীদ।
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:“What do you say among yourselves about the martyr?” They said: “The one who is killed in the cause of Allah.” He said: “In that case the martyrs among my nation would be few. Whoever is killed in the cause of Allah is a martyr; whoever dies in the cause of Allah is a martyr; whoever dies of a stomach disease is a martyr; and whoever dies of the plague is a martyr.” Another chain narrates with the addition of "and the drowned is a martyr
