حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ، قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ {لاَ يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ} قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " ادْعُوا فُلاَنًا ". فَجَاءَهُ وَمَعَهُ الدَّوَاةُ وَاللَّوْحُ أَوِ الْكَتِفُ فَقَالَ " اكْتُبْ لاَ يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ". وَخَلْفَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنَا ضَرِيرٌ. فَنَزَلَتْ مَكَانَهَا {لاَ يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ غَيْرُ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ وَالْمُجَاهِدُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ }
বারাআ (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেছেন যে, لَا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُوْنَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُجَاهِدُوْنَ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللهِ আয়াতটি যখন অবতীর্ণ হল, তখন রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেন অমুককে ডেকে আন। এরপর দোয়াত, কাঠ অথবা হাড় খন্ড নিয়ে তিনি রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর কাছে আসলেন। তিনি বললেন, লিখে নাওঃ لَا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُوْنَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُجَاهِدُوْنَ ..... فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللهِ রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর পেছনে ছিলেন ইবনু উম্মু মাকতুম (রাঃ)। তিনি বললেন, হে আল্লাহর রাসূল সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম আমি অক্ষম ব্যক্তি। এরপর তখনই অবতীর্ণ হলঃ لَا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُوْنَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ غَيْرَ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ وَالْمُجَاهِدُوْنَ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللهِ অর্থাৎ ‘‘যারা কোন প্রকার ওযর ব্যতীত বাড়িতে বসে থাকে তারা এবং আল্লাহর পথে জিহাদকারীগণ সমান হতে পারে না।’’ [২৮৩১] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনীঃ ৪২৩৩, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ)
Narrated Al-Bara:
When the Verse:--"Not equal are those of the believers who sit (at home)," (4.95) was revealed, the Prophet said, "Call so-and-so." That person came to him with an ink-pot and a wooden board or a shoulder scapula bone. The Prophet (ﷺ) said (to him), "Write: 'Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and those who strive and fight in the Cause of Allah." Ibn Um Maktum who was sitting behind the Prophet (ﷺ) then said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! I am a blind man." So there was revealed in the place of that Verse, the Verse:--"Not equal are those of the believers who sit (at home) except those who are disabled (by injury, or are blind or lame etc.) and those who strive and fight in the Cause of Allah
আবুল আসওয়াদ মুহাম্মাদ ইবনু ‘আবদুর রহমান (রহ.) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেছেন যে, একদল সৈন্য পাঠানোর জন্যে মদিনাবাসীদের উপর নির্দেশ দেয়া হলে আমাকেও তাতে অন্তর্ভুক্ত করা হল। আমি ইবনু ‘আব্বাস (রাঃ)-এর মুক্ত গোলাম ইকরামাহর সঙ্গে দেখা করলাম এবং তাঁকে এ ব্যাপারে জানালাম। তিনি আমাকে এ ব্যাপারে কঠোরভাবে নিষেধ করলেন, তারপর বললেন কিছু সংখ্যক মুসলিম মুশরিকদের সঙ্গে থেকে রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর বিরুদ্ধে মুশরিকদের দল ভারী করেছিল, তীর এসে তাদের কারো উপর পড়ত এবং তাকে মেরে ফেলত অথবা তাদের কেউ মার খেত এবং নিহত হত তখন আল্লাহ তা‘আলা অবতীর্ণ করলেনঃ إِنَّ الَّذِيْنَ تَوَفّٰهُمُ الْمَلٰٓئِكَةُ ظَالِمِيْٓ أَنْفُسِهِمْ আবুল আসওয়াদ থেকে লাইস এটা বর্ণনা করেছেন। [৭০৮৫] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনীঃ ৪২৩৫, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ)
Narrated Muhammad bin `Abdur-Rahman Abu Al-Aswad:
The people of Medina were forced to prepare an army (to fight against the people of Sham during the caliphate of `Abdullah bin Az-Zubair at Mecca), and I was enlisted in it; Then I met `Ikrima, the freed slave of Ibn `Abbas, and informed him (about it), and he forbade me strongly to do so (i.e. to enlist in that army), and then said, "Ibn `Abbas informed me that some Muslim people were with the pagans, increasing the number of the pagans against Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). An arrow used to be shot which would hit one of them (the Muslims in the company of the pagans) and kill him, or he would be struck and killed (with a sword)." Then Allah revealed:-- "Verily! as for those whom the angels take (in death) while they are wronging themselves (by staying among the disbelievers)" (4.97) Abu AlAswad also narrated it
حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ {لاَ يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ} دَعَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم زَيْدًا فَكَتَبَهَا، فَجَاءَ ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ فَشَكَا ضَرَارَتَهُ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ {غَيْرَ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ}
বারাআ (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বললেন, যখন لَا يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُوْنَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ ..... আয়াতটি অবতীর্ণ হল, তখন রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম যায়দ (রাঃ)-কে ডাকলেন। তিনি তা লিখে নিলেন। ইবনু উম্মু মাকতুম (রাঃ) তাঁর অক্ষমতার ওযর পেশ করলেন, আল্লাহ তা‘আলা অবতীর্ণ করলেনঃ غَيْرَ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ অক্ষম ব্যক্তিরা ব্যতীত- (সূরাহ আন-নিসা ৪/৯৫)। [২৮৩১] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনীঃ ৪২৩২, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ)
Narrated Al-Bara:
When the Verse:-- "Not equal are those of the believers who sit (at home)" (4.95) was revealed, Allah's Apostle called for Zaid who wrote it. In the meantime Ibn Um Maktum came and complained of his blindness, so Allah revealed: "Except those who are disabled (by injury or are blind or lame..." etc)
