حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمٌ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ، رضى الله عنه قَالَ كَانَ عَلِيٌّ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ تَخَلَّفَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي خَيْبَرَ، وَكَانَ رَمِدًا فَقَالَ أَنَا أَتَخَلَّفُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَلَحِقَ، فَلَمَّا بِتْنَا اللَّيْلَةَ الَّتِي فُتِحَتْ قَالَ " لأُعْطِيَنَّ الرَّايَةَ غَدًا ـ أَوْ لَيَأْخُذَنَّ الرَّايَةَ غَدًا ـ رَجُلٌ يُحِبُّهُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ، يُفْتَحُ عَلَيْهِ ". فَنَحْنُ نَرْجُوهَا فَقِيلَ هَذَا عَلِيٌّ، فَأَعْطَاهُ فَفُتِحَ عَلَيْهِ.
সালামাহ (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, চক্ষু রোগ হওয়ায় ‘আলী (রাঃ) নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর থেকে খাইবার অভিযানে পেছনে পড়ে গিয়েছিলেন। [নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম মদিনা থেকে রওয়ানা হয়ে এসে পড়লে] ‘আলী (রাঃ) বলেন, আমি পেছনে বসে থাকব। সুতরাং তিনি গিয়ে তাঁর সঙ্গে মিলিত হলেন। [সালামাহ (রাঃ) বলেন] খাইবার বিজিত হওয়ার আগের রাতে তিনি [নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম] বললেন, আগামীকাল সকালে আমি এমন ব্যক্তির হাতে পতাকা তুলে দেব অথবা তিনি বলেছেন, আগামীকাল সকালে এমন এক ব্যক্তি পতাকা গ্রহণ করবে যাকে আল্লাহ এবং তাঁর রাসূল ভালবাসেন। আর তার হাতেই খাইবার বিজিত হবে। কাজেই আমরা সবাই সেটি কামনা করছিলাম। তখন বলা হল, এই তো ‘আলী। এরপর রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম তাঁকে পতাকা প্রদান করলেন এবং তাঁর হাতেই খাইবার বিজিত হল। [২৯৭৫] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনীঃ ৩৮৮৮, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ)
Narrated Salama:
`Ali remained behind the Prophet (ﷺ) during the Ghazwa of Khaibar as he was suffering from eye trouble. He then said, "(How can) I remain behind the Prophet (ﷺ) ," and followed him. So when he slept on the night of the conquest of Khaibar, the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I will give the flag tomorrow, or tomorrow the flag will be taken by a man who is loved by Allah and His Apostle , and (Khaibar) will be conquered through him, (with Allah's help)" While every one of us was hopeful to have the flag, it was said, "Here is `Ali" and the Prophet (ﷺ) gave him the flag and Khaibar was conquered through him (with Allah's Help)
তিনি বলেন, কোন এক জুমু‘আহর দিনে আনাস (রাঃ) লোকজনের দিকে তাকিয়ে দেখলেন তাদের (মাথায়) তায়ালিসাহ[1] চাদর। তখন তিনি বললেন, এ মুহূর্তে এদেরকে খাইবারের ইয়াহূদীদের মতো দেখাচ্ছে। (আধুনিক প্রকাশনীঃ ৩৮৮৭, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ)
Narrated Abu `Imran:
Anas looked at the people wearing Tailsans (i.e. a special kind of head covering worn by Jews in old days). On that Anas said, "At this moment they (i.e. those people) look like the Jews of Khaibar
খাইবারের যুদ্ধে একদা রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেন, আগামীকাল সকালে আমি এমন এক লোকের হাতে ঝান্ডা তুলে দেব যার হাতে আল্লাহ খাইবারে বিজয় দান করবেন যে আল্লাহ এবং তাঁর রাসূলকে ভালবাসে এবং যাকে আল্লাহ এবং তাঁর রাসূল ভালবাসেন। সাহল (রাঃ) বলেন, মুসলিমগণ এ জল্পনায় রাত কাটালো যে, তাদের মধ্যে কাকে দেয়া হবে এ ঝান্ডা। সকালে সবাই রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর কাছে আসলেন, আর প্রত্যেকেই তা পাওয়ার আকাঙ্ক্ষা করছিলেন। তখন রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেন, ‘আলী ইবনু আবূ তালিব (রাঃ) কোথায়? সাহাবীগণ বললেন, হে আল্লাহর রাসূল! তিনি তো চক্ষুরোগে আক্রান্ত। তিনি বললেন, তার কাছে লোক পাঠাও। সে মতে তাঁকে আনা হল। রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম তার উভয় চোখে থুথু লাগিয়ে তার জন্য দু‘আ করলেন। ফলে চোখ এমন ভাল হয়ে গেল যেন কখনো চোখে কোন রোগই ছিল না। এরপর তিনি তার হাতে ঝান্ডা প্রদান করলেন। তখন ‘আলী (রাঃ) বললেন, হে আল্লাহর রাসূল! তারা আমাদের মতো (মুসলিম) না হওয়া পর্যন্ত আমি তাদের সঙ্গে যুদ্ধ চালিয়ে যাব। রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেন, তুমি বর্তমান অবস্থায়ই তাদের দ্বারপ্রান্তে গিয়ে হাজির হও, এরপর তাদেরকে ইসলাম গ্রহণের প্রতি আহবান করো, আল্লাহর অধিকার প্রদানে তাদের প্রতি যে দায়িত্ব বর্তায় সে সম্পর্কে তাদেরকে অবহিত কর। কারণ আল্লাহর কসম! তোমার দাওয়াতের মাধ্যমে আল্লাহ যদি মাত্র একজন মানুষকেও হিদায়াত দেন তাহলে তা তোমার জন্য লাল রঙের (মূল্যবান) উটের[1] মালিক হওয়ার চেয়ে উত্তম। [২৯৪২] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনীঃ ৩৮৮৯, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ)
Narrated Sahl bin Sa`d:
On the day of Khaibar, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Tomorrow I will give this flag to a man through whose hands Allah will give us victory. He loves Allah and His Apostle, and he is loved by Allah and His Apostle." The people remained that night, wondering as to who would be given it. In the morning the people went to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and everyone of them was hopeful to receive it (i.e. the flag). The Prophet said, "Where is `Ali bin Abi Talib?" It was said, "He is suffering from eye trouble O Allah's Apostle." He said, "Send for him." `Ali was brought and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) spat in his eye and invoked good upon him. So `Ali was cured as if he never had any trouble. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) gave him the flag. `Ali said "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! I will fight with them till they become like us." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Proceed and do not hurry. When you enter their territory, call them to embrace Islam and inform them of Allah's Rights which they should observe, for by Allah, even if a single man is led on the right path (of Islam) by Allah through you, then that will be better for you than the nice red camels
তিনি বলেন, কোন এক যুদ্ধে রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এবং মুশরিকরা মুখোমুখী হলেন। তাদের মধ্যে তুমুল লড়াই হল। (শেষে) সকলেই আপন আপন সেনা ছাউনীতে ফিরে গেল। মুসলিম সৈন্যদের মধ্যে এমন এক ব্যক্তি ছিল, যে মুশরিকদের কোন একাকী কিংবা দলবদ্ধ কোন শত্রুকেই রেহাই দেয়নি বরং তাড়িয়ে নিয়ে তরবারি দ্বারা হত্যা করেছে। তখন বলা হল! হে আল্লাহর রাসূল! অমুক লোক আজ যতটা ‘আমল করেছে অন্য কেউ ততটা করতে পারেনি। রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেন, সে ব্যক্তি জাহান্নামী। তারা বলল, তা হলে আমাদের মধ্যে আর কে জান্নাতী হবে যদি এ ব্যক্তিই জাহান্নামী হয়? তখন কাফেলার মধ্য থেকে একজন বলল, অবশ্যই আমি তাকে অনুসরণ করে দেখব (তিনি বলেন) লোকটির দ্রুত গতিতে বা ধীর গতিতে আমি তার সঙ্গে থাকতাম। শেষে, লোকটি আঘাতপ্রাপ্ত হলে যন্ত্রণার চোটে সে দ্রুত মৃত্যু কামনা করে তার তরবারির বাঁট মাটিতে রাখলো এবং ধারালো দিক নিজের বুকের মাঝে রেখে এর উপর সজোরে চেপে ধরে আত্মহত্যা করল। তখন (অনুসরণকারী) সাহাবী নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর কাছে এসে বললেন, আমি সাক্ষ্য দিচ্ছি, নিশ্চয়ই আপনি আল্লাহর রাসূল। তিনি [নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম] জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, কী ব্যাপার? তিনি তখন নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে সব ঘটনা জানালেন। তখন নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেন, কেউ কেউ জান্নাতবাসীদের মতো ‘আমল করতে থাকে আর লোকজন তাকে তেমনই মনে করে থাকে অথচ সে জাহান্নামী। আবার কেউ কেউ জাহান্নামীর মতো ‘আমল করে থাকে আর লোকজনও তাকে তাই মনে করে অথচ সে জান্নাতী। [২৮৯৮] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনীঃ ৩৮৮৬, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ)
Narrated Sahl:
During one of his Ghazawat, the Prophet (ﷺ) encountered the pagans, and the two armies fought, and then each of them returned to their army camps. Amongst the (army of the) Muslims there was a man who would follow every pagan separated from the army and strike him with his sword. It was said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! None has fought so satisfactorily as so-and-so (namely, that brave Muslim). "The Prophet said, "He is from the dwellers of the Hell-Fire." The people said, "Who amongst us will be of the dwellers of Paradise if this (man) is from the dwellers of the Hell-Fire?" Then a man from amongst the people said, "I will follow him and accompany him in his fast and slow movements." The (brave) man got wounded, and wanting to die at once, he put the handle of his sword on the ground and its tip in between his breasts, and then threw himself over it, committing suicide. Then the man (who had watched the deceased) returned to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "I testify that you are Apostle of Allah." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "What is this?" The man told him the whole story. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "A man may do what may seem to the people as the deeds of the dwellers of Paradise, but he is of the dwellers of the Hell-Fire and a man may do what may seem to the people as the deeds of the dwellers of the Hell-Fire, but he is from the dwellers of Paradise
