। ‘উকবাহ ইবনু ‘আমির আল-জুহানী (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, আমি রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে মিম্বারের উপরে বলতে শুনেছিঃ ‘‘দুশমনের মুকাবিলার জন্য তোমরা যথাসাধ্য শক্তি অর্জন করো।’’[সূরা আল-আনফালঃ আয়াত ৬০] জেনে রাখো! এখানে শক্তির অর্থ হচ্ছে তীরন্দাজী (ক্ষেপনাস্ত্র), জেনে রাখো! এখানে শক্তির অর্থ হচ্ছে তীরন্দাজী (ক্ষেপনাস্ত্র), জেনে রাখো! এখানে শক্তির অর্থ হচ্ছে তীরন্দাজী (ক্ষেপনাস্ত্র)।
‘Uqabah bin Amir Al Juhani said “I heard the Apostle of Allaah(ﷺ) recite when he was on the pulpit “Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power. Beware, strength is shooting, beware strength is shooting, beware strength is shooting.”
। ‘উকবাহ ইবনু ‘আমির (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, আমি রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে বলতে শুনেছিঃ একটি তীরের কারণে মহান আল্লাহ তিন ব্যক্তিকে জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করাবেন। তীর প্রস্ততকারী, যদি সে জিহাদের নেক আশায় প্রস্তুত করে, (যুদ্ধে) তীর নিক্ষেপকারী এবং যে ব্যক্তি তা নিক্ষেপের উপযোগী করে নিক্ষেপকার) কে সরবরাহ করে। তোমরা তীরন্দাজী ও অশ্বারোহী প্রশিক্ষণ নাও। তোমাদের অশ্বারোহীর প্রশিক্ষণের চাইতে তীরন্দাজীর প্রশিক্ষণ আমার নিকট অধিক প্রিয়। তিন ধরনের খেলাধুলা অনুমোদিত কোনো ব্যক্তির তার ঘোড়াকে প্রশিক্ষণ দেয়া, নিজ স্ত্রীর সাথে খেলা-স্ফূর্তি করা এবং তীর ধনুকের প্রশিক্ষণ নেয়া। যে ব্যক্তি তীরন্দাজী শিখার পর অনাগ্রহবশত তা ছেড়ে দেয়, সে আল্লাহর দেয়া এক নি‘আমাত বর্জন করলো। অথবা তিনি বলেছেনঃ সে এই নি‘আমাতের অকৃতজ্ঞ হলো।
Narrated Uqbah ibn Amir:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: Allah, Most High, will cause three persons to enter Paradise for one arrow: the maker when he has a good motive in making it, the one who shoots it, and the one who hands it; so shoot and ride, but your shooting is dearer to me than your riding. Everything with which a man amuses himself is vain except three (things): a man's training of his horse, his playing with his wife, and his shooting with his bow and arrow. If anyone abandons archery after becoming an adept through distaste for it, it is a blessing he has abandoned; or he said: for which he has been ungrateful
। মু‘আয ইবনু জাবাল (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেনঃ যুদ্ধ দু’ প্রকার। যে ব্যক্তি আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টির জন্য যুদ্ধ করে, ইমামের আনুগত্য করে, উত্তম জিনিস খরচ করে, সহকর্মীর সাথে কোমল ব্যবহার করে এবং বিপর্যয় সৃষ্টিকারী কাজ থেকে বিরত থাকে, তার নিদ্রা ও জাগরণ সব কিছুই সাওয়াবে পরিণত হয়। আর যে ব্যক্তি অহংকার, লোক দেখানো ও সুনামের জন্য যুদ্ধ করে, ইমামের অবাধ্য হয় এবং দুনিয়াতে বিপর্যয় সৃষ্টি করে, সে জিহাদের সামান্য সাওয়াব নিয়েও বাড়িতে প্রত্যাবর্তন করে না।
Narrated Mu'adh ibn Jabal:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Fighting is of two kinds: The one who seeks Allah's favour, obeys the leader, gives the property he values, treats his associates gently and avoids doing mischief, will have the reward for all the time whether he is asleep or awake; but the one who fights in a boasting spirit, for the sake of display and to gain a reputation, who disobeys the leader and does mischief in the earth will not return credit or without blame
। আবূ ‘ইমরান আসলাম ইবনু ইয়াযীদ (রাঃ) সূত্রে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, ‘আমরা মদীনা থেকে কনস্টান্টিনোপল অভিমুখে বের হলাম। আমাদের সেনাপতি ছিলেন ‘আব্দুর রাহমান ইবনু খালিদ ইবনুল ওয়ালীদ (রাঃ)। রোমের সৈন্যবাহিনী শহরের প্রাচীর-বেষ্টনীর বহির্ভাগ থেকে প্রতিরক্ষায় নিয়োজিত ছিলো। জনৈক মুসলিম সৈনিক শত্রুবাহিনীর উপর হামলা করে বসলো। লোকেরা বললো, হায়, থামো! লা ইলাহা ইল্লাল্লাহ। সে নিজেকে ধ্বংসের দিকে ঠেলে দিচ্ছে। আবূ আইউব আল-আনসারী (রাঃ) বললেন, এ আয়াত আমাদের আনসার সম্প্রদায় সম্পর্কে অবতীর্ণ হয়েছিলো। আল্লাহ যখন তাঁর নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে সাহায্য করলেন এবং দীন ইসলামকে বিজয়ী করলেন, ‘আমরা মনে মনে বললাম, এসো! এবার ‘আমরা নিজেদের ধন-সম্পদ দেখাশুনা ও ঠিকঠাকে মনোযোগ দেই। মহান আল্লাহ তখন এ আয়াত অবতীর্ণ করলেনঃ ‘‘তোমরা আল্লাহর পথে ব্যয় করো এবং নিজেদেরকে ধ্বংসের মধ্যে নিক্ষেপ করো না।’’[সূরা আল-বাকারাহ, আয়াত ১৯৫] আমাদের নিজের হাতকে ধ্বংসের মধ্যে নিক্ষেপ করা অর্থ হচ্ছে, ধন-সম্পদ নিয়েই ব্যস্ত থাকা, এর পরিবৃদ্ধির জন্য চেষ্টা করা এবং জিহাদ ছেড়ে দেয়া। আবূ ‘ইমরান (রাঃ) বলেন, এরপর থেকে আবূ আইউব আল-আনসারী (রাঃ) সর্বদা মহান আল্লাহর পথে জিহাদে শরীক হতেন, অবশেষে তিনি জিহাদ করতে করতে কুস্তনতুনিয়াতে সমাহিত হন।
Narrated AbuAyyub:
AbuImran said: We went out on an expedition from Medina with the intention of (attacking) Constantinople. AbdurRahman ibn Khalid ibn al-Walid was the leader of the company. The Romans were just keeping their backs to the walls of the city. A man (suddenly) attacked the enemy. Thereupon the people said: Stop! Stop! There is no god but Allah. He is putting himself into danger. AbuAyyub said: This verse was revealed about us, the group of the Ansar (the Helpers). When Allah helped His Prophet (ﷺ) and gave Islam dominance, we said (i.e. thought): Come on! Let us stay in our property and improve it. Thereupon Allah, the Exalted, revealed, "And spend of your substance in the cause of Allah, and make not your hands contribute to (your destruction)". To put oneself into danger means that we stay in our property and commit ourselves to its improvement, and abandon fighting (i.e. jihad). AbuImran said: AbuAyyub continued to strive in the cause of Allah until he (died and) was buried in Constantinople
