তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর ইনতিকালের পর যখন আবু বকর (রাঃ) খলীফা হন এবং আরবের কিছু লোক মুরতাদ হয়ে যায়, তখন উমর (রাঃ) বললেনঃ হে আবু বকর! আপনি এ সকল লোকের বিরুদ্ধে কিরূপে যুদ্ধ করবেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ আমাকে মানুষের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধের আদেশ করা হয়েছে, যতক্ষণ না তারা বলে 'লা ইলাহা ইল্লাল্লাহ'। আর যে ব্যক্তি লা ইলাহা ইল্লাল্লাহু’ বললো, সে আমার থেকে তার জানমাল রক্ষা করলো, তবে ইসলামের অন্য কোন হক ব্যতীত। আর তার হিসাব আল্লাহর যিম্মায়। আবু বকর (রাঃ) বললেনঃ যে ব্যক্তি নামায ও যাকাতের মধ্যে পার্থক্য করবে, তার বিরুদ্ধে আমি যুদ্ধ করবো। কেননা যাকাত মালের হক। আল্লাহর শপথ! যদি তারা একটি বকরির বাচ্চাও আমাকে দিতে অস্বীকার করে, যা তারা রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে দিত, তা হলে আমি তাদের বিরুদ্ধে এ কারণে যুদ্ধ করবো। উমর (রাঃ) বলেনঃ আল্লাহর শপথ ! আমি দেখলাম, আল্লাহ্ তা'আলা যুদ্ধের জন্য আবু বকরের অন্তর খুলে দিয়েছেন। আর তার সিদ্ধান্তই সঠিক।
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:"When the Messenger of Allah [SAW] died, and Abu Bakr (became Khalifah) after him, and the 'Arabs reverted to Kufr, 'Umar said: 'O Abu Bakr, how can you fight the people when the Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: I have been commanded to fight the people until they say La ilaha illallah, and whoever says La ilaha illallah, his wealth and his life are safe from me, except for a right that is due, and his reckoning will be with Allah, the Mighty and Sublime?' Abu Bakr said: 'I will fight whoever separates Salah and Zakah, for Zakah is the compulsory right to be taken from wealth. By Allah, if they withhold from me a young goat that they used to give to the Messenger of Allah [SAW], I will fight them for withholding it.' 'Umar said: 'By Allah, as soon as I saw that Allah has expanded the chest of Abu Bakr to fighting, I knew that it was the truth
হারিস ইবন মিসকীন (রহঃ) ... আবু হুরায়রা (রাঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত যে, রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ আমাকে মানুষের সাথে যুদ্ধের আদেশ করা হয়েছে যাবৎ না তারা বলে, “আল্লাহ্ ছাড়া কোন ইলাহ্ নেই।” আর যে বললো আল্লাহ্ ছাড়া কোন ইলাহ্ নেই, সে আমার থেকে তার জানমাল রক্ষা করলো। তবে ইসলামের কোন হক ব্যতীত। আর তার হিসাব তো আল্লাহ্ রাব্বুল আলামীনের কাছে।

Whoever says La ilaha illallah, his wealth and his life are safe from me except for a right that is due, and his reckoning will be with Allah
রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেনঃ আমাকে মানুষের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করতে হুকুম দেওয়া হয়েছে, যাবৎ না তারা বলে, “আল্লাহ ছাড়া কোন ইলাহ নেই।” যে ব্যক্তি এটা বলবে, সে আমার পক্ষ হতে তার জানমাল নিরাপদ করে নিল। তবে ইসলামের কোন হক দেখা দিলে ভিন্ন কথা। আর তার হিসাব আল্লাহর কাছে।
Abu Hurairah narrated that :The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: "I have been commanded to fight the people until they say La ilaha illallah, and whoever says it, his life and his wealth are safe from me, except for a right that is due, and his reckoning will be with Allah
যিয়াদ ইবন আইয়ুব (রহঃ) ... আবূ হুরায়রা (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ আমাকে কাফিরদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করার জন্য আদেশ দেয়া হয়েছে, যতক্ষণ না তারা “লা ইলাহা ইল্লাল্লাহ” বলে। যখন তারা তা বলবেঃ তখন তারা আমার থেকে তাদের জান ও মাল রক্ষা করবে, তবে এ কালেমার কোন হক ব্যতীত। আর তাদের হিসাব আল্লাহর কাছে। যখন আরবের কিছু লোক মুরতাদ হলো, তখন উমর (রাঃ) আবূ বকর (রাঃ)-কে বললেনঃ আপনি কি তাদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করবেন? অথচ আমি রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে এরূপ এরূপ বলতে শুনেছি? তখন তিনি বললেনঃ আল্লাহর শপথ! আমি নামায এবং যাকাতের মধ্যে প্রভেদ করব না এবং যারা এদুয়ের মধ্যে পার্থক্য করবে, আমি তাদের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করবো। পরে আমরা তার সঙ্গে একত্রে যুদ্ধ করি এবং বুঝতে পারি যে, এটাই ছিল সঠিক সিদ্ধান্ত।
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'I have been commanded to fight the people until they say La ilaha illallah. If they say it then their blood and their wealth are safe from me, except for a right that is due, and their reckoning will be with Allah.' When the people apostatized, 'Umar said to Abu Bakr: 'Will you fight them when you heard the Messenger of Allah [SAW] say such and such?' He said: 'By Allah, I do not separate Salah and Zakah, and I will fight whoever separates them.' So we fought alongside him, and we realized that that was the right thing
