It was narrated that Abu Salih, the freed slace of 'Uthman, said:"uthman bin 'Affan said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: A day in the cause of Allah is better than a thousand days doing anything else
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ زَهْرَةَ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو صَالِحٍ، مَوْلَى عُثْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ، رضى الله عنه يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " رِبَاطُ يَوْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ يَوْمٍ فِيمَا سِوَاهُ مِنَ الْمَنَازِلِ " .
আমর ইবন মানসূর (রহঃ) ... যাহরা ইবন মা'বাদ (রহঃ) বলেন, আবূ সালিহ মাওলা উছমান আমার কাছে বর্ণনা করেছেন, তিনি বলেন, আমি উছমান ইবন আফফান (রাঃ)-কে বলতে শুনেছি, তিনি বলেন, আমি রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে বলতে শুনেছিঃ আল্লাহর রাস্তায় একদিনের সীমানা পাহারায় রত থাকা অন্যান্য স্থানের হাজার দিন হতে উত্তম।
It was narrated from Zurah bin Ma'bad:"Abu Salih, the freed slave of 'Uthman, said: 'I heard 'Uthman bin 'Affan say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: Ribat (guarding the frontier) for one day in the cause of Allah is better in rank than a thousand days spent within the residence
মুহাম্মাদ ইবন সালমা এবং হারিছ ইন মিসকীন (রহঃ) ... আনাস ইবন মালিক (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম যখন কোবায় পদার্পণ করতেন, তখন তিনি মিলহান কন্যা উম্মে হারাসের নিকট যেতেন। তিনি তাকে আহার করাতেন। আর উম্মে হারাম বিনতে মিলহান ছিলেন উবাদা ইবন সামিতের স্ত্রী। একবার তিনি তার বাড়ীতে গেলে উম্মে হারাম তাকে আহার করালেন এবং তার মাথার উকুন তালাশ করতে বসে গেলেন। রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম নিদ্রাভিভূত হলেন। এরপর তিনি হাসতে হাসতে জাগ্রত হলেন। উম্মে হারাম বলেন, আমি তাকে বললামঃ ইয়া রাসূলাল্লাহ! আপনার হাসার কারণ কি? তিনি বললেনঃ আমার উম্মতের কিছু সংখ্যক লোককে আমাকে দেখান হলো তারা আল্লাহর রাস্তায় জিহাদ করার জন্য সমুদ্র পাড়ি দিয়েছে, এবং তারা সিংহাসনে উপবিষ্ট বাদশাহ। রাবী ইসহাক (রহঃ) বলেন, অথবা তিনি বলেছেনঃ তারা সিংহাসনে উপবিষ্ট বাদশাহর ন্যায়। আমি বললামঃ ইয়া রাসূলাল্লাহ! আল্লাহর নিকট দু'আ করুন, তিনি যেন আমাকে তাদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করেন। রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম তার জন্য দু'আ করে আবার নিদ্রা গেলেন। হারিছ (রহঃ) বলেন, ন্দ্রিা যাওয়ার পর তিনি আবার হাসতে হাসতে জাগলেন, আমি তাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করলামঃ ইয়া রাসূলাল্লাহ! আপনার হাসার কারণ কি? তিনি বললেনঃ আমার উম্মতের কিছু লোককে আমাকে দেখান হলো, তারা আল্লাহর রাস্তায় জিহাদ করেছে, যেমন সিংহাসনের উপর বাদশাহ অথবা বাদশাহর মত, যেভাবে প্রথমবার বলেছিলেন। আমি বললামঃ ইয়া রাসূলাল্লাহ! আল্লাহর নিকট দুআ করুন, তিনি যেন আমাকে এদের মধ্যে শামিল করেন। তিনি বললেনঃ না, তুমি প্রথম দলে থাকবে। উম্মে হারাম মুআবিয়া (রাঃ)-এর সময় সমুদ্র পাড়ি দিয়েছিলেন, এরপর সমুদ্র হতে ফিরে আসার পর তিনি তার সওয়ারীর উপর হতে পড়ে শহীদ হন।
It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:"When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) went to Quba' he used to come to Umm Haram bint Milhan and she would feed him. Umm Haram was married to 'Ubadah bint As-Samit. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ entered upon her and she fed him and checked his head for lice. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) fell asleep, then he woke up smiling. She said: 'What is making you smile, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Some people of my Ummah were shown to me, fighting in the cause of Allah and riding across the sea like kings on thrones.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah to make me one of them.' So the Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah to make me one of them.' So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed for her then he slept again.'" (One of narrators) Al-Harith, said (in his narration): "He slept then he woke up smiling. I said to him: 'What is making you smile, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'Some people of my Ummah were shown to me, fighting in the cause of Allah and riding across the sea like kings on thrones,' as he had said the first time. I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, pray to Allah to make me one of them.' He said: 'You will be one of the first.' And she traveled by sea at the time of Mu'awiyah, then she fell from her mount when she came out of the sea and died
তিনি বলেন, আমি রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে বলতে শুনেছিঃ যে ব্যক্তি আল্লাহর রাস্তায় সীমানা পাহারায় রত থাকে একদিন এবং এক রাত, তার জন্য এক মাস রোজা রাখা ও ইবাদতের সওয়াব রয়েছে। সে ইন্তেকাল করলেও তার একাজ জারি থাকবে, আর সে সকল ফিতনা হতে রক্ষিত থাকবে, আর তাকে তার রিযিক পৌঁছানো হবে।
It was narrated that Salman said:"I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: 'Whoever guards Ribat (the frontier) in the cause of Allah for one day and one night, he will have (a reward) like that of fasting and praying Qiyam for a month. If he dies he will continue to receive reward for what he did, and he will be kept safe from Al-Fattan, and he will be given provision
