Hadith 463
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى، عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ اشْتَكَى عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْمَرٍ عَيْنَيْهِ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ وَهُوَ أَمِيرٌ مَا يَصْنَعُ بِهِمَا قَالَ قَالَ ضَمَّدَهُمَا بِالصَّبِرِ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يُحَدِّثُ ذَلِكَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ‏.‏

Narrated It was narrated that Nubaih bin Wahb said:

`Umar bin `Ubaidullah bin Ma`mar had a problem in his eyes. He sent word to Aban bin `Uthman (رضي الله عنه) - Sufyan said: He was the Ameer (of Hajj) - to ask what he should do. He said: Apply aloes to them, for I heard ‘Uthman (رضي الله عنه) narrate that from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ حُمْرَانَ، مَوْلَى عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ تَوَضَّأَ بِالْمَقَاعِدِ فَغَسَلَ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا وَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوئِي هَذَا ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ سَقَطَتْ خَطَايَاهُ يَعْنِي مِنْ وَجْهِهِ وَيَدَيْهِ وَرِجْلَيْهِ وَرَأْسِهِ‏.‏

Narrated It was narrated from Humran, the freed slave of `Uthman (رضي الله عنه) that `Uthman did wudoo’ in al-Maqa`id, he washed each part of the body three times and said:

I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: “Whoever does wudoo’ as I have done then gets up to pray, his sins will fall away, i.e., from his face, his hands, his feet and his head.`

Hadith 464
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى أَبُو صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ مَنَّاحٍ، عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ رَأَى جَنَازَةً مُقْبِلَةً فَلَمَّا رَآهَا قَامَ وَقَالَ رَأَيْتُ عُثْمَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَفْعَلُهُ‏.‏

Narrated It was narrated from Aban bin `Uthman (رضي الله عنه) that he saw a funeral coming towards him. When he saw it, stood up and said:

I saw Uthman (رضي الله عنه) do that and he told me that he saw the Prophet (ﷺ) do that.

Hadith 465
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى، عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ، يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَنْكِحُ الْمُحْرِمُ وَلَا يَخْطُبُ‏.‏

Narrated It was narrated from `Aban bin `Uthman (رضي الله عنه) from ‘Uthman (رضي الله عنه), who attributed it to the Prophet (ﷺ) , that said:

`The pilgrim in ihram should not get married or propose marriage.`
