মুহাম্মাদ ইবনু হাতিম (রহঃ) ..... খালিদ আল হাযযা হতে উল্লেখিত সূত্রে বর্ণিত হয়েছে যে, যখন লোকসংখ্যা বেড়ে গেল, সাহাবাগণ সালাতের সময় জানানোর একটি উপায় খুঁজে বের করার জন্যে পরস্পর আলোচনা করলেন ..... অতঃপর সাকাকী-এর হাদীসের অবিকল বর্ণনা করেন। এ বর্ণনায় أَنْ يُنَوِّرُوا نَارًا শব্দের পরিবর্তেأَنْ يُورُوا نَارًا শব্দের উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে। (অর্থাৎ "আগুন জ্বালানো হোক" উভয় শব্দের অর্থ একই)। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ ৭২৪, ইসলামিক সেন্টারঃ)

আবূ গাসসান আল মিসমাঈ, মালিক ইবনু আবদুল ওয়াহিদ ও ইসহাক ইবনু ইবরাহীম (রহঃ) ..... আবূ মাহযুরাহ (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম তাকে এ আযান শিক্ষা দিয়েছেনঃ "আল্লাহু আকবার, আল্লাহু আকবার" (আল্লাহ মহান, আল্লাহ মহান)। পাঠে (চারবার)। "আশহাদু আল লা-ইলা-হা ইল্লাল্ল-হ" (আমি সাক্ষ্য দিচ্ছি যে, আল্লাহ ছাড়া প্রকৃতপক্ষে কোন ইলাহ নেই), "আশহাদু আল লা-ইলাহা ইল্লাল্ল-হ" (আমি সাক্ষ্য দিচ্ছি যে, আল্লাহ ছাড়া প্রকৃতপক্ষে কোন ইলাহ নেই)। "আশহাদু আন্না মুহাম্মাদার রসূলুল্ল-হ" (আমি সাক্ষ্য দিচ্ছি যে, মুহাম্মদ আল্লাহর রাসূল), "আশহাদু আন্না মুহাম্মাদার রাসূলুল্লাহ" (আমি সাক্ষ্য দিচ্ছি যে, মুহাম্মদ আল্লাহর রাসূল)। আবার তিনি (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম) বলেছেনঃ “আশহাদু আল লা-ইলা-হা ইল্লাল্ল-হ", "আশহাদু আন্না মুহাম্মাদার রসূলুল্ল-হ-" দু'বার। "হাইয়্যা আলাস সলা-হ" (সালাতের জন্যে এসো) দু'বার। "হাইয়্যা 'আলাল ফালা-হ" (কল্যাণের জন্যে এসো) দু'বার। ইসহাক তার বর্ণনায় আরো দুটি বাক্য উল্লেখ করেছেন, "আল্লাহু আকবার, আল্লাহু আকবার" এবং “লা-ইলা-হা ইল্লাল্ল-হ"। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ ৭২৬, ইসলামিক সেন্টারঃ)
Abu Mahdhura said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) taught him Adhan like this:Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest; I testify that there is no god but Allah, I testify that there is no god but Allah; I testify that Muhammad Is the Messenger of Allah, I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and it should be again repeated: I testify that there is no god but Allah, I testify that there is no god but Allah; I testify that Muhammad Is the Messenger of Allah, I testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. Come to the prayer (twice). Come to success (twice). Ishaq added: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest; there Is no god but Allah
তিনি বলেন, (লোকেদের) সালাতের সময় জানানোর উদ্দেশে একটা কিছু নির্দিষ্ট করার জন্যে সাহাবাগণ পরস্পর আলোচনা করলেন। তারা বললেন, আগুন জ্বালানো হোক অথবা নাকুস (ঘণ্টা) বাজানো হোক। বিলালকে আযানের শব্দগুলো দু’বার এবং ইকামাতের শব্দগুলো একবার করে উচ্চারণ করার নির্দেশ দেয়া হল। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ ৭২৩, ইসলামিক সেন্টারঃ)
Anas b. Malik reported:They (the Companions) discussed that they should know the timings of prayer by means of something recognized by all. Some of them said that fire should be lighted or a bell should be rung. But Bilal was ordered to repeat the phrases twice in Adhan, and once in Iqama
