মুহাম্মাদ ইবনু বাশশার ও আবু বকর ইবনু নাফি (রহঃ) ..... ইবনু আব্বাস (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, স্ত্রীলোকেরা উলঙ্গ অবস্থায় বাইতুল্লাহর তাওয়াফ করত এবং বলত, কে আমাকে একটি কাপড় ধার দিবে? এর দ্বারা উদ্দেশ্য স্বীয় লজ্জাস্থান ঢাকা। আর এটাও বলত, আজ খুলে যাচ্ছে কিয়দংশ বা পূর্ণাংশ। তবে যে অংশটা খুলে সেটা আমি আর কখনো হালাল করব না। তখন অবতীর্ণ হলো, "প্রত্যেক সালাতের সময় সৌন্দর্য অবলম্বন করবে"- (সূরা আল আ’রাফ ৭ঃ ৩১)। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৭২৭০, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Ibn Abbas reported:During the pre-Islamic days women circumambulated the Ka'ba nakedly, and said: Who would provide cloth to cover the one who is circumambulating the Ka'ba so that she would cover her private parts? And then she would say: Today will be exposed the whole or the part and what is exposed I shall not make it lawful. It was in this connection that the verse was revealed:" Adorn yourself at every place of worship" (vii)
তিনি বলেন, আমাদের ইসলাম গ্রহণ করা ও নিম্নোক্ত আয়াত তথা "যারা ঈমান আনে আল্লাহর স্মরণে তাদের অন্তর কি ভক্তিতে বিগলিত হওয়ার সময় আসেনি" (সূরা আল হাদীদ ৫৭ঃ ১৬) এর দ্বারা আমাদেরকে উপহাস করার মধ্যে চার বছরের ব্যবধান ছিল। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৭২৬৯, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Ibn Mas'ud said:Since our acceptance of Islam and the revelation of this verse in which Allah has shown annoyance to us:" Has not the time yet come for the believers that their hearts should be humble for the remembrance of Allah?" (lvii. 16), there was a gap of four years
আবু বাকর ইবনু আবু শাইবাহ ও আবু কুরায়ব (রহঃ) ..... জাবির (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, ‘আবদুল্লাহ ইবনু উবাই ইবনু সালুল তার বাদীকে বলত, যাও বেশ্যাবৃত্তির মাধ্যমে সম্পদ উপার্জন করে নিয়ে এসো। তখন আল্লাহ তা’আলা অবতীর্ণ করলেন, “তোমাদের বাদীদেরকে সতীত্ব রক্ষা করতে চাইলে পার্থিব জীবনের ধন লালসায় তাদেরকে ব্যভিচারে লিপ্ত করতে বাধ্য করবে না। আর যে তাদেরকে বাধ্য করে, তবে তাদের (দাসীদের) উপর জবর-দস্তির পর আল্লাহ তো (দাসীদের জন্য) ক্ষমাশীল, পরম দয়ালু” (সূরা আন নূর ২৪ঃ ৩৩)। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৭২৭১, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Jabir reported that 'Abdullah b. Ubayy b. Salul used to say to his slave-girl:Go and fetch something for us by committing prostitution. It was in this connection that Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, revealed this verse:" And compel not your slave-girls to prostitution when they desire to keep chaste in order to seek the frail goods of this world's life, and whoever compels them, then surely after their compulsion Allah is Forgiving, Merciful" (xxiv)
আবু বকর ইবনু আবু শাইবাহ, মুহাম্মাদ ইবনুল মুসান্না ও ইবনু বাশশার (রহঃ) ..... বারা (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, আনসারী লোকেরা হজ্জ সমাপ্তি শেষে বাড়ী ফেরার পর দরজা দিয়ে প্রবেশ না করে পেছন দিক থেকে ঘরে প্রবেশ করত। অতঃপর এক আনসারী সহাবা দরজা দিয়ে প্রবেশ করলে এ ব্যাপারে তাকে কিছু (ভাল-মন্দ) বলা হলে "পেছন দিক দিয়ে তোমাদের বাড়ীতে ঢুকাতে কোন সাওয়াব নেই" (সুরাহ্ আল বাকারাহ ২ঃ ১৮৯) এ আয়াতটি অবতীর্ণ হলো। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৭২৬৮, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Bara' reported:When the Ansar performed the Pilgrimage, they did not enter their houses but from behind. A person from the Ansar came and he began to enter from his door but it was said to him (why he was doing something in contravention to the common practice of coming to the houses from behind). Then this verse was revealed." Piety is not that you come to the doors from behind" (ii)
