আবূ কুরায়ব মুহাম্মাদ ইবনু 'আলা (রহঃ) ..... সালিম (রহঃ) এর সূত্রে তার পিতা হতে বর্ণিত যে, রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম মিম্বারের উপর দাড়িয়ে বলেছেনঃ যদি তোমরা তার নেতৃত্বের বিষয়ে সমালোচনা করো। এখানে উসামাহ্ ইবনু যায়দকে বুঝাতে চেয়েছেন- তবে তো তোমরা ইতোমধ্যে এর পিতার নেতৃত্ব নিয়েও সমালোচনা করেছিলে। আল্লাহর কসম! সে নেতৃত্ব দেয়ার যোগ্য ছিল। সে আমার নিকট সবচেয়ে পছন্দেরও ছিল। আল্লাহর কসম! এও খুব যোগ্য- এখানেও উসামাহকে বুঝাতে চেয়েছেন; তারপরে এ-ই আমার সবচেয়ে বেশী প্রিয়। অতএব আমি তোমাদের উপদেশ দিচ্ছি, উসামাহর সাথে সুন্দর আচরণ করো। সে তোমাদের মতই একজন সৎকর্মপরায়ণ। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৬০৪৭, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Salim reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said on the pulpit:You object to the command of Usima b. Zaid as you had objected before to the command of his father (Zaid). By Allah, he was most competent for it and, by Allah, he was dearest to me amongst people and, by Allah, the same is the case with Usama b. Zaid. He is most dear to me after him and I advise you to treat him well for he is pious amongst you
ইয়াহইয়া ইবনু ইয়াহইয়া, ইয়াহইয়া ইবনু আইয়্যুব, কুতাইবাহ ও ইবনু হুজুর (রহঃ) …. ইবনু উমর (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম একদল সৈন্য পাঠালেন, এতে উসামাহ্ ইবনু যায়দকে আমীর নিযুক্ত করলেন। মানুষেরা তার নেতৃত্ব নিয়ে সমালোচনা করলে রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম দাড়িয়ে বললেনঃ এর নেতৃত্বের যদি তোমরা সমালোচনা করো তাহলে তোমরা এর পিতার নেতৃত্ব নিয়েও পূর্বে সমালোচনা করেছিলে। আল্লাহর কসম! তার পিতা নেতৃত্বের যোগ্য ছিল। সে আমার নিকট সর্বাধিক পছন্দের ছিল। আর যায়দের পর এখন আমার নিকট সর্বাধিক প্রিয় হলো উসামাহ্ (রাযিঃ)। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৬০৪৬, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Ibn 'Umar reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) sent an expedition and appointed Usama b. Zaid as its chief. The people objected to his command, whereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) stood up and said:You object to his command and before this you objected to the command of his father (Zaid). By Allah, he was fit as the commander and he was one of the dearest of persons to me and after him, behold! this one (Usama) is one of the dearest of persons to me
আবূ বাকর ইবনু আবূ শাইবাহ্ (রহঃ) ..... আবদুল্লাহ ইবনু আবূ মূলাইকাহ্ (রহঃ) হতে বর্ণিত যে, আবদুল্লাহ ইবনু জাফার (রাযিঃ) আবদুল্লাহ ইবনু যুবায়র (রাযিঃ)-কে বললেন, তোমার স্মরণ আছে কি যখন আমি, তুমি এবং ইবনু আব্বাস, রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর সঙ্গে একত্রিত হয়েছিলাম? সে সময় আমাকে তিনি আরোহণ করালেন, আর তোমাকে ছেড়ে দিলেন। তিনি বললেন, হ্যাঁ। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৬০৪৮, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Abdullah b. Abu Mulaika reported that Abdullah b. Jafar said to Ibn Zubair:Do you remember (the occasion) when we three (i. e. I, you and lbn 'Abbas) met Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and he mounted us (on his camel) but left you? He said: Yes
