(…) মুহাম্মাদ ইবনুল মুসান্না ও ইবনু বাশশার (রহঃ) ..... বারা ইবনু আযিব (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ আজকের দিনে আমাদের প্রথম কাজ হলো সালাত (সালাত/নামাজ/নামায) আদায় করা। তারপর আমরা ফিরে গিয়ে কুরবানী করব। যে লোক এরূপ করলো সে আমাদের সুন্নাত পালন করলো। আর যে লোক (সালাতের আগে) যাবাহ করলো, সেটা কেবল গোশত (খাওয়ার জন্য) হলো, যা সে নিজের পরিবারের জন্য অগ্রিম ব্যবস্থা করলো। সেটা কুরবানীর কিছুই হলো না। আবূ বুরদাহ ইবনু নিয়ার (রাযিঃ) পূর্বেই কুরবানীর নিয়্যাতে যাবাহ করে ফেলেছিলেন। তাই তিনি বললেন, আমার কাছে একটি ছয় মাসের বকরীর বাচ্চা আছে যা এক বছরের বাচ্চার চেয়েও হৃষ্টপুষ্ট। রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেনঃ তুমি সেটিই কুরবানী করো। তোমার পরে আর কারো জন্য এটা যথেষ্ট হবে না। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪৯১৩, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Al-Bara' b. 'Azib reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) having said:The first (act) with which we started our day (the day of 'Id-ul Adha) was that we offered prayer. We then returned and sacrificed the animals and he who did that in fact adhered to our Sunnah (practice). And he who slaughtered the (animal on that day before the 'Id prayer), for him (the slaughtering of animal was directed to the acquiring of) meat for his family, and there is nothing of the sort of sacrifice in it. It was Abu Burda b. Niyar who had slaughtered (the animal before the 'Id prayer). He said: I have a small lamb, of less than one year, but better than that of more than a year. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) qaid: Sacrifice it, but it will not suffice (as a sacrifice) for anyone after you

তিনি বলেন, রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ যে লোক আমাদের মতো সালাত (সালাত/নামাজ/নামায) আদায় করে, আমাদের কিলামুখী হয় এবং আমাদের মতো কুরবানী করে, সে যেন সালাতের পূর্বে যাবাহ না করে। পরে আমার মামা বললেন, হে আল্লাহর রসূল! আমি তো আমার ছেলের পক্ষ থেকে কুরবানী করে ফেলেছি। তিনি বললেন, সেটা তো এমন জিনিস, যা তুমি তোমার পরিবারের জন্য জলদি করে (যাবাহ করে) ফেলেছ। তিনি বললেন, আমার কাছে (এমন) একটি বকরী আছে, যা দুটি বকরীর চেয়েও উত্তম। তিনি বললেন, তুমি সেটা কুরবানী করো। কারণ সেটাই তোমার উত্তম কুরবানী হবে। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪৯১২, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Al-Bara' reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) having said:He who observes prayer like our prayer and turns his face towards our Qibla (in prayer) and who offers sacrifices (of animals) as we do, he must not slaughter the (animal as a sacrifice) until he has completed the prayer. Thereupon my maternal uncle said: Messenger of Allah, I have sacrificed the animal on behalf of my son. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: This is the thing in which you have made haste for your family. He said: I have a goat with me better than two goats. Thereupon he said: Sacrifice it for that is the best
তিনি বলেন, (একদা) কুরবানীর দিন রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম আমাদের লক্ষ্য করে খুতবাহ দিলেন এবং বললেনঃ সালাত (সালাত/নামাজ/নামায) আদায়ের আগে কেউ যেন যাবাহ না করে। বারা (রাযিঃ) বলেন, অতঃপর আমার মামা বললেনঃ হে আল্লাহর রসূল! আজকের দিনে তো গোশত খোঁজা ভাল নয়। অতঃপর বর্ণনাকারী হুশায়ম (রহঃ) বর্ণিত হাদীসের উপরোল্লিখিত বাক্য বর্ণনা করেন। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪৯১১, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Al-Bara' b. 'Azib reported:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) delivered an address on the day (of Nahr) in which he said: None of you should offer sacrifice of animals until he has completed the ('Id) prayer. Thereupon my maternal uncle said: Messenger of Allah, it is the day of meat, so it is not desirable (to keep my family in the state of longing). The rest of the hadith is the same
