حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي، قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ قَامَ فِيهِمْ فَذَكَرَ لَهُمْ " أَنَّ الْجِهَادَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالإِيمَانَ بِاللَّهِ أَفْضَلُ الأَعْمَالِ " . فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ قُتِلْتُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ تُكَفَّرُ عَنِّي خَطَايَاىَ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " نَعَمْ إِنْ قُتِلْتَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَأَنْتَ صَابِرٌ مُحْتَسِبٌ مُقْبِلٌ غَيْرُ مُدْبِرٍ " . ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " كَيْفَ قُلْتَ " . قَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ قُتِلْتُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَتُكَفَّرُ عَنِّي خَطَايَاىَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " نَعَمْ وَأَنْتَ صَابِرٌ مُحْتَسِبٌ مُقْبِلٌ غَيْرُ مُدْبِرٍ إِلاَّ الدَّيْنَ فَإِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ قَالَ لِي ذَلِكَ " .
কুতাইবাহ ইবনু সাঈদ (রহঃ) ..... আবূ কাতাদাহ্ (রাযিঃ) রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম থেকে বর্ণনা করেছেন যে, তিনি (রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম) একদা তাদের মধ্যে দাঁড়ালেন এবং তাদের কাছে বর্ণনা করলেন যে, আল্লাহর পথে জিহাদ এবং আল্লাহর প্রতি ঈমান হচ্ছে সর্বোত্তম আমল। তখন এক ব্যক্তি দাঁড়িয়ে বলল, আপনি কি মনে করেন যে, আমি যদি আল্লাহর পথে নিহত হই তাহলে আমার সকল পাপ মোচন হয়ে যাবে? তখন রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম তাকে বললেনঃ হ্যা, যদি তুমি ধৈর্যশীল, সাওয়াবের আশায় আশান্বিত হয়ে পৃষ্ঠপ্রদর্শন না করে (শক্রর মুখোমুখি অবস্থায়) আল্লাহর রাস্তায় নিহত হও। তারপর রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেনঃ তুমি কী বললে হে! তখন সে ব্যক্তি (আবার) বলল, আপনি কি মনে করেনঃ আমি যদি আল্লাহর পথে নিহত হই তাহলে কি আমার সকল গুনাহের কাফফারা হয়ে যাবে? তখন রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেনঃ হ্যাঁ, তুমি যদি ধৈর্যধারণকারী, সাওয়াবের আশায় আশান্বিত হয়ে পৃষ্ঠপ্রদর্শন না করে শত্রুর মুখোমুখী অবস্থায় নিহত হও, অবশ্য ঋণের কথা আলাদা। কেননা, জিবরাঈল (আঃ) আমাকে এ কথা বলেছেন। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪৭২৭, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Qatada that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood up among them (his Companions) to deliver his sermon in which he told them that Jihad in the way of Allah and belief in Allah (with all His Attributes) are the most meritorious of acts. A man stood up and said:Messenger of Allah, do you think that if I am killed in the way of Allah, my sins will be blotted out from me? The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Yes, in case you are killed in the way of Allah and you were patient and sincere and you always fought facing the enemy, never turming your back upon him. Then he added: What have you said (now)? (Wishing to have further assurance from him for his satisfaction), he asked (again): Do you think if I am killed in the way of Allah, all my sins will be obliterated from me? The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Yes, it you were patient and sincere and always fought facing the enemy and never turning your back upon him, (all your lapses would be forgiven) except debt. Gabriel has told me this
সাঈদ ইবনু মানসূর (রহঃ) ..... আবূ সাঈদ খুদরী (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত যে, রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেনঃ হে আবূ সাঈদ! যে ব্যক্তি আল্লাহকে রব (প্রতিপালক) রূপে, ইসলামকে দ্বীনরপে এবং মুহাম্মাদ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম কে নবীরূপে গ্রহণ করে সন্তুষ্ট, তার জন্যে জান্নাত অবধারিত হয়ে গেল। আবূ সাঈদ (রাযিঃ) তাতে অবাক হয়ে গেলেন এবং বললেন, হে আল্লাহর রসূল! আমার জন্যে কথাটি আবার বলুন। তিনি তাই করলেন, তারপর বললেন, আর একটি আমল এমন রয়েছে, যার দ্বারা বান্দা জান্নাতে এমন একশটি মর্যাদার স্তর লাভ করবে যার দুটো স্তরের মধ্যে ব্যবধান হবে আসমান ও যমীনের ব্যবধান তুল্য। তখন তিনি বললেন, ঐ আমলটি কী, হে আল্লাহর রসূল? তিনি বললেন, আল্লাহর পথে জিহাদ আল্লাহর পথে জিহাদ! It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Sa`id al-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said (to him):Abu Sa`id, whoever cheerfully accepts Allah as his Lord, Islam as his religion and Muhammad as his Apostle is necessarily entitled to enter Paradise. He (Abu Sa`id) wondered at it and said: Messenger of Allah, repeat it for me. He (the Messenger of Allah) did that and said: There is another act which elevates the position of a man in Paradise to a grade one hundred (higher), and the elevation between one grade and the other is equal to the height of the heaven from the earth. He (Abu Sa`id) said: What is that act? He replied: Jihad in the way of Allah! Jihad in the way of Allah
আবূ বাকর ইবনু আবূ শাইবাহ্ (রহঃ) ও মুহাম্মাদ ইবনু মুসান্না (রহঃ) ..... আবূ কাতাদাহ্ (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, এক ব্যক্তি রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর কাছে এসে আরয করলো, আপনি কি মনে করেন, আমি যদি আল্লাহর পথে নিহত হই ..... লায়সের হাদীসের অনুরূপ। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪৭২৮, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
The tradition has been narrated through a different chain of transmitters on the authority of Abu Qatada who said:A man came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) while he was on the pulpit and said: Do you think if I am killed in the way of Allah... (except this difference in its beginning, the rest of the tradition is the same as the previous one)
