শাইবন ইবনু ফাররুখ (রহঃ) ...... আবদুর রহমান ইবনু সামুরাহ (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম আমাকে লক্ষ্য করে বললেন, হে আবদুর রহমান! তুমি শাসন ক্ষমতা চাইবে না। কারণ যদি চাওয়ার মাধ্যমে তা পাও, তবে তার দায়িত্ব তোমার উপর ন্যস্ত হবে। আর যদি তুমি চাওয়া ছাড়া তা পেয়ে যাও, তবে এ ব্যাপারে তুমি (আল্লাহর তরফ থেকে) সাহায্যপ্রাপ্ত হবে। [দ্রষ্টব্য হাদীস ৪২৮১] (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪৫৬৪, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
It has been reported on the authority of 'Abd al-Rahman b. Samura who said:The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me: 'Abd al-Rahman, do not ask for a position of authority, for if you are granted this position as a result of your asking for it, you will be left alone (without God's help to discharge the responsibilities attendant thereon), and it you are granted it without making any request for it, you will be helped (by God in the discharge of your duties)
আবূ বাকর ইবনু আবূ শাইবাহ ও মুহাম্মাদ ইবনু আ'লা (রহঃ) ..... আবূ মূসা (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, (একদা) আমি এবং আমার দু’চাচাত ভাই নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর নিকট উপস্থিত হলাম। দু'জনের একজন বলল, হে আল্লাহর রসূল! মহান আল্লাহ আপনাকে যে সমস্ত রাজ্যের কর্তৃত্ব প্রদান করেছেন তার কতক অংশে আমাদেরকে প্রশাসক নিযুক্ত করুন। অপরজনও অনুরূপ বলল। তখন তিনি বললেনঃ আল্লাহর কসম! আমরা এমন কাউকে নেতৃত্বে বসাই না, যে সেটির জন্য প্রার্থী হয় এবং যে তার জন্য লালায়িত হয়। [দ্রষ্টব্য হাদীস ৪৫২৬] (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪৫৬৬, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
It has been narrated by Abu Musa who said:Two of my cousins and I entered the apartment of the Prophet (ﷺ). One of them said: Messenger of Allah, appoint us rulers of some lands that the Almighty and Glorious God has entrusted to thy care. The other also said something similar. He said: We do not appoint to this position one who asks for it nor anyone who is covetous for the same
ইসহাক ইবনু ইবরাহীম, ইবনু আবূ উমার, মুহাম্মাদ রাফি এবং আবদ ইবনু হুমায়দ (রহঃ) ..... ইবনু উমার (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, আমি হাফসাহ্ (রাযিঃ) এর ঘরে প্রবেশ করলাম। তখন তিনি বললেন, তুমি কি জান যে, তোমার পিতা কাউকে খলীফা মনোনীত করছেন না? আমি বললাম, তিনি এমনটি করবেন না। তিনি বললেন, তিনি তা-ই করবেন। ইবনু উমার (রাযিঃ) বললেন, তখন আমি এ মর্মে শপথ করলাম যে, আমি অবশ্যই এ ব্যাপারে তার সঙ্গে আলাপ করবো। এরপর আমি নীরব থাকলাম। পরের দিন ভোর পর্যন্ত আমি তার সঙ্গে এ ব্যাপারে আলাপ করিনি। রাবী বলেন, আমার মনে হলো যে, আমি আমার শপথের পাহাড় বহন করছি। অবশেষে আমি ফিরে এলাম এবং তার উমার (রাযিঃ) এর কাছে প্রবেশ করলাম। তিনি আমার কাছে লোকদের অবস্থা সম্পর্কে জানতে চাইলেন। আমি তাকে তা জানালাম। তারপর আমি তাকে বললাম, আমি লোকজনকে একটি কথা বলাবলি করতে শুনে আমি তা আপনাকে বলবো বলে শপথ করেছি। লোকেরা বলছে যে, আপনি কাউকে খলীফা মনোনীত করবেন না। অথচ আপনার যদি কোন উটের রাখাল বা ছাগলের রাখাল থাকে আর সে তার পাল পরিত্যাগ করে আপনার কাছে চলে আসে, তা হলে আপনি নিশ্চয়ই মনে করবেন যে, সে পশুপালের সর্বনাশ করেছে। মানুষের রক্ষণাবেক্ষণের ব্যাপারটি তার চাইতেও গুরুতর। আমার কথা তার অন্তরে রেখাপাত করলো এবং তিনি কিছুক্ষণ মাথা নিচু করে থাকলেন। তারপর মাথা উঠিয়ে আমাকে লক্ষ্য করে বললেন, অবশ্যই মহিমাম্বিত ও গৌরবান্বিত আল্লাহ তার দীনের হিফাযাত করবেন। আমি যদি কাউকে খলীফা মনোনীত না করি তবে আল্লাহর রসূল সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-ও তো কাউকে খলীফা মনোনীত করে যাননি। আর যদি আমি কাউকে খলীফা মনোনীত করি তবে আবূ বাকর (রাযিঃ) খলীফা মনোনীত করে গেছেন। তিনি বলেন, আল্লাহর কসম! তিনি যখন রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম ও আবূ বাকর (রাযিঃ) এর কথা উল্লেখ করলেন, তখনই আমি বুঝে ফেলি যে, তিনি আর কাউকে রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর সমকক্ষ করবেন না এবং তিনি কাউকে খলীফাও মনোনীত করে যাবেন না। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪৫৬৩, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
It has been reported on the authority of Ibn 'Umar who said:I entered the apartment of (my sister) Hafsa. She said: Do yoa know that your father is not going to nominate his successor? I said: He won't do that (i. e. he would nominate). She said: He is going to do that. The narrator said: I took an oath that I will talk to him about the matter. I kept quiet until the next morning, still I did not talk to him, and I felt as if I were carryint, a mountain on my right hand. At last I came to him and entered his apartment. (Seeing me) he began to ask me about the condition of the people, and I informed him (about them). Then I said to him: I heard something from the people and took an oath that I will communicate it to you. They presume that you are not going to nominate a successor. If a grazer of camels and sheep that you had appointed comes back to you leaving the cattle, you will (certainly) think that the cattle are lost. To look after the people is more serious and grave. (The dying Caliph) was moved at my words. He bent his head in a thoughtful mood for some time and raised it to me and said: God will doubtlessly protect His religion. If I do not nominate a successor (I have a precedent before me), for the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not nominate his successor. And if I nominate one (I have a precedent), for Abu Bakr did nominate. The narrator (Ibn Umar) said: By God. when he mentioned the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and Abu Bakr, I (at once) understood that he would not place anyone at a par with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and would not nominate anyone
