তিনি বলেন, আমি একবার অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়ি। রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম ও আবূ বাকর (রাযিঃ) পায়ে হেঁটে আমাকে দেখতে আসেন। আমি অজ্ঞান হয়ে পড়ি। রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম ওযু করেন এবং ওযু র অবশিষ্ট পানি আমার উপর ছিটিয়ে দেন। আমি জ্ঞান ফিরে পেলাম, আর বললাম, হে আল্লাহর রসূল! আমি আমার সম্পদ কিরূপে বন্টন করবো? তিনি আমাকে কোন উত্তর দেননি, মীরাস সংক্রান্ত আয়াত (অর্থাৎ "লোকে আপনার নিকট ব্যবস্থা জানতে চায়, বলুন, পিতামাতাহীন নিঃসন্তান ব্যক্তি সম্বন্ধে তোমাদেরকে আল্লাহ জানাচ্ছেন....."— (সূরা আন নিসা ৪ঃ ১৭৬) নাযিল হওয়ার পূর্ব পর্যন্ত। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০০০, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Jabir b. 'Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them) reported:I fell sick and there came to me on foot Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and Abu Bakr for inquiring after my health. I fainted. He (the Holy Prophet) performed ablution and then sprinkled over me the water of his ablution. I felt some relief and said: Allah's Messenger, how should I decide about my property? He said nothing to me in response until this verse pertaining to the law of inheritance was revealed:" They ask you for a decision; say: Allah gives you a decision concerning the person who has neither parents nor children" (iv)

তিনি বলেন, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম ও আবূ বাকর (রাযিঃ) পায়ে হেঁটে বানু সালামায় আমাকে দেখতে আসেন। তারা আমাকে অজ্ঞান অবস্থায় পান। রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম পানি আনতে বলেন। এরপর তিনি ওযু করেন, তারপর তা থেকে কিছু পানি আমার উপর ছিটিয়ে দেন। আমি জ্ঞান ফিরে পেলাম, আর বললাম, হে আল্লাহর রসূল! আমি আমার সম্পদ কিভাবে বণ্টন করবো? তখন এ আয়াত নাযিল হয়- “আল্লাহ তোমাদের সন্তানাদি সম্বন্ধে নির্দেশ দিচ্ছেন; এক পুত্রের অংশ দু' কন্যার অংশের সমান....."- (সূরা আন নিসা ৪ঃ ১১)। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৪০০১, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Jabir b. 'Abdullah (Allah be pleased with him) reported:Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) and Abi Bakr (Allah be pleased with him) visited me on foot in Banu Salama, and found me unconscious. He (the Holy Prophet) called for water and performed ablution and sprinkled out of it (the water) over me. I felt relieved. I said: Allah's Messenger, what should I do with my property? And this verse was revealed:" Allah enjoins you concerning your children: for the male is equal of the portion of two females
ইসহাক ইবনু ইবরাহীম (রহঃ) ..... ইবনু আব্বাস (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ সম্পদ অংশীদারদের মধ্যে আল্লাহর কিতাবের ফায়সালা অনুযায়ী বন্টন কর। তারপর যে অংশ অবশিষ্ট থাকে তা নিকটতম পুরুষের প্রাপ্য। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৩৯৯৮, ইসলামিক সেন্টার)
Tawus reported on the authority of Ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) narrating that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:Distribute the property amongst Ahl al-Fara'id, according to the Book of Allah, and what is left out of them goes to the nearest male heir
