وَحَدَّثَتْهُ زَيْنَبُ، عَنْ أُمِّهَا، وَعَنْ زَيْنَبَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَوْ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم .
আর যায়নাব (রাযিঃ) এ হাদীসখানা তার মা উম্মু সালামাহ্ (রাযিঃ) এবং নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর সহধর্মিণী যায়নাব (রাযিঃ) থেকে বর্ণনা করেছেন। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৩৫৮৮, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
This hadith was narrated by Zainab from her mother and from Zainab, the wife of Allah's Apostle (ﷺ), or from some other lady from among the wives of the Prophet (ﷺ)
তিনি বলেন, আমি যায়নাব বিনতু উম্মু সালামাকে তার মায়ের সূত্রে বলতে শুনেছি যে, এক মহিলার স্বামী মারা গেল। লোকেরা তার চোখের ব্যাপারে আশংকাবোধ করল। তখন তারা নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর কাছে এলেন। তারা তার কাছে মহিলার চোখে সুরমা ব্যবহারের অনুমতি চাইল। তখন রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেনঃ জাহিলিয়্যাত যুগে স্বামীর মৃত্যুতে তোমাদের কেউ কেউ সাদা-মাটা কাপড়-চোপড় কিংবা ছিড়ে-ফাড়া বস্ত্র পরিধান করে একটি সংকীর্ণ কক্ষে পুরো এক বছর (ইদ্দাত পালনের জন্য) অতিবাহিত করত। এরপর কোন কুকুর তার নিকট দিয়ে অতিক্রম করলে সে উটের বিষ্ঠা নিক্ষেপ করে বাইরে বের হয়ে পড়ত। এ কুসংস্কারের পরিবর্তে চারমাস দশদিন পর্যন্ত প্রতীক্ষা করতে তোমরা কি সক্ষম হবে না? Zainab bint Umm Salama (Allah be pleased with her) reported on the authority of her mother that a woman lost her husband. (As her eyes were ailing) they (her kith and kin) entertained fear about her eyes, so they came to Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) and sought permission for the use of collyrium, whereupon Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:One among you used to spend one year in a dungeon dressed in worst clothes. (And at the end of this period) she threw dung at the dog which happened to pass that way and then she came out (of her 'Idda). Can't she (wait) even for four months and ten days?
তিনি বলেন, আমি যায়নাব বিনত উম্মু সালামাকে বলতে শুনেছি যে, উম্মু হাবীবাহ (রাযিঃ) এর একজন নিকট আত্মীয় ইনতিকাল করেন। এরপর তিনি হলুদ বর্ণের সুগন্ধি চেয়ে পাঠান এবং তার দু' বাহুতে মেখে নিলেন। এরপর তিনি বললেন, আমি তা এজন্য করলাম যে, আমি রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম কে বলতে শুনেছি, যে মহিলা আল্লাহ ও আখিরাতের প্রতি ঈমান রাখে তার পক্ষে কারো মৃত্যুতে তিনদিনের বেশি শোক পালন করা হালাল নয়। তবে স্বামীর মৃত্যুতে চারমাস দশদিন শোক পালন করা যাবে। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৩৫৮৮, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
Zainab bint Umm Salama (Allah be pleased with her) reported that a relative of Umm Habiba (Allah he pleased with her) died. She sent for a yellow (perfume) and applied that to her forearm and said:I, am doing it, for I have heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying: It is not permissible for a woman believing in Allah and the Hereafter to mourn beyond three days except the husband (for whom she can mourn) for four months and ten days
তিনি চোখে সুরমা ব্যবহার সংক্রান্ত উম্মু সালামাহ্ (রাযিঃ) বর্ণিত হাদীস এবং নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর সহধর্মিণীগণের মধ্যে থেকে কোন একজনের বর্ণিত হাদীস উল্লেখ করেছেন। তবে তিনি তার বর্ণনায় এতটুকু বেশি উল্লেখ করেছেন “মুহাম্মাদ ইবনু জাফার (রহঃ) বর্ণিত হাদীসের অনুরূপ। যায়নাব তার নাম উল্লেখ করেননি।” - (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ৩৫৯০, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
Humaid b. Nafi' narrated two traditions from Umm Salama dealing with collyrium and the other hadith from the wives of Allah's Prophet (ﷺ) except with this that no mention was made of Zainab
