মুহাম্মাদ ইবনু আবদুল্লাহ ইবনু নুমায়র ও আবূ বকর ইবনু আবূ শাইবাহ (রহঃ) ..... আবদুল্লাহ (রাযিঃ) বলেন, আমরা রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম এর নিকট প্রশ্ন করলাম- হে আল্লাহর রাসূল! আমরা জাহিলী যুগে যা করেছি এর জন্যও কি আমাদের পাকড়াও করা হবে? তিনি বললেন, যে ব্যক্তি ইসলাম গ্রহণ করে ভাল কাজ করবে জাহিলী যুগে সে কি করেছে তার জন্য পাকড়াও করা হবে না। আর যে ব্যক্তি ইসলাম গ্রহণের পর মন্দ কাজ করে তাকে প্রথম থেকে শেষ পর্যন্ত পাকড়াও করা হবে। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ ২১৯, ইসলামিক সেন্টারঃ)
It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah b. Mas'ud:We once said: Messenger of Allah, would we be held responsible for our deeds committed in the state of ignorance? He (the Holy Prophet) observed: He who did good deeds in Islam would not be held responsible for what he did in the state of ignorance, but he who committed evil (after having come within the fold of Islam) would be held responsible for his previous and later deeds
উসমান ইবনু আবূ শাইবাহ্ (রহঃ) ..... 'আবদুল্লাহ (রাযিঃ) বলেন, কিছু সংখ্যক লোক রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম-এর কাছে এসে বললেন, জাহিলী যুগে আমরা যা করেছি এর জন্যও কি আমাদের পাকড়াও করা হবে? তিনি বললেন, ইসলাম গ্রহণের পর যে ব্যক্তি ভাল কাজ করবে তাকে জাহিলী যুগের আমলের জন্য পাকড়াও করা হবে না। কিন্তু যে ব্যক্তি ইসলাম গ্রহণের পরও মন্দ করবে তাকে জাহিলী ও ইসলাম উভয় যুগের (মন্দ) কাজের জন্য পাকড়াও করা হবে। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ ২১৮, ইসলামিক সেন্টারঃ)
It is narrated on the authority of Abdullah b. Mas'ud that some people said to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ):Messenger of Allah, would we be held responsible for our deeds committed in the state of ignorance (before embracing Islam)? Upon his he (the Holy Prophet) remarked: He who amongst you performed good deeds in Islam, He would not be held responsible for them (misdeeds which he committed in ignorance) and he who committed evil (even after embracing Islam) would be held responsible or his misdeeds that he committed in the state of ignorance as well as in that of Islam
হুরায়ম ইবনু ‘আবদুল আ'লা আল আসাদী (রহঃ) ... আনাস (রাযিঃ) বলেন, যখন এ আয়াত নাযিল হলো .....। এতেও সা'দ ইবনু মু'আয এর উল্লেখ নেই। তবে শেষে আছে, আমরা তাকে ভাবতাম, একজন জান্নাতী লোক আমাদের মাঝে বিচরণ করছেন। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ ২১৭, ইসলামিক সেন্টারঃ)
