তিনি বলেন, আমি সাহল ইবনু হুনায়ফ (রাযিঃ) কে জিজ্ঞেস করলাম যে, আমি নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম কে খারিজীদের সম্পর্কে আলোচনা করতে গিয়ে হাত দিয়ে পূর্ব দিকে ইঙ্গিত করে বলতে শুনেছিঃ এরা এমন এক সম্প্রদায়, তারা কুরআন পড়ে কিন্তু তা তাদের কণ্ঠনালী অতিক্রম করে না। তারা দীন থেকে এমনভাবে বেরিয়ে যাবে যেমন তীর শিকার থেকে বেরিয়ে যায়। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ২৩৩৮, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
Yusair b. 'Amr reported that he inquired of Sahl b. Hunaif:Did you hear the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) making a mention of the Khawarij? He said: I heard him say (and he pointed with his hand towards the east) that these would be a people who would recite the Qur'an with their tongues and it would not go beyond their collar bones. They would pass clean through their religion just as the arrow passes through the prey
শায়বান ইবনু ফাররুখ (রহঃ) ..... আবূ যার (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ আমার পরে আমার উম্মাতের মধ্যে বা অচিরেই আমার উম্মাতের মধ্যে এমন এক সম্প্রদায়ের আবির্ভাব হবে- তারা কুরআন পাঠ করবে কিন্তু তা তাদের কণ্ঠনালী অতিক্রম করবে না, তীর যেভাবে শিকার ভেদ করে চলে যায় তারাও তেমনিভাবে দীন থেকে বেরিয়ে যাবে, আর ফিরে আসবে না। সৃষ্টিকুলের মধ্যে তারা নিকৃষ্ট ও অধম। ইবনু সামিত (রাযিঃ) বলেন, আমি হাকাম আল গিফারীর ভাই রাফি ইবনু আমর আল গিফারীর সাথে সাক্ষাৎ করে বললাম, আমি আবূ যার (রাযিঃ) থেকে এ ধরনের যে হাদীস শুনেছি এ ব্যাপারে আপনার অভিমত কী? তার সামনে এ হাদীসটিও উল্লেখ করলাম। তিনি বললেন, আমিও এ হাদীসটি রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর কাছে শুনেছি। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ২৩৩৭, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
Abu Dharr reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:Verily there would arise from my Ummah after me or soon after me a group (of people) who would recite the Qur'an, but it would not go beyond their throats, and they would pass clean through their religion just as the arrow passes through the prey, and they would never come back to it. They would be the worst among the creation and the creatures. Ibn Samit (one of the narrators) said: I met Rafi' b. 'Amr Ghifari, the brother of Al-Hakam Ghifari and I said: What is this hadith that I heard from Abu Dharr, i. e. so and so? and then I narrated that hadith to him and said: I heard it from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)

This hadith had been transmitted by Sulaiman Shaibani with the same chain of narrators (and the words are)," There would arise out of (this group) many a group
আবূ তহির ও ইউনুস ইবনু আবদুল আ'লা (রহঃ) ..... রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর মুক্ত গোলাম উবায়দুল্লাহ ইবনু আবূ রাফি (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
যখন হারূরিয়াহ্ বের হলো এবং যখন সে আলী (রাযিঃ) এর সাথে ছিল তখন বলল, "আল্লাহ ছাড়া অন্য কারো হুকুম দেয়ার অধিকার নেই।" আলী (রাযিঃ) বলেন, “এ কথাটি সত্য কিন্তু এর পিছনে তাদের হীন উদ্দেশ্য নিহিত রয়েছে।" রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এক ব্যক্তি সম্পর্কে বর্ণনা দিয়েছিলেন, আমি তাদের মধ্যে সে চিহ্নগুলো ভালভাবেই লক্ষ্য করছি। তারা মুখে সত্য কথা বলে কিন্তু তা তাদের এটা থেকে অতিক্রম করে না। এ বলে তিনি (উবায়দুল্লাহ) তার কণ্ঠনালীর দিকে ইঙ্গিত করলেন। (অর্থাৎ সত্য কথা গলার নীচে যায় না)। আল্লাহর সৃষ্টিজগতে এরা তার চরম শত্রু। তাদের মধ্যে কালো বর্ণের এক ব্যক্তি রয়েছে যার একটি হাত বকরীর স্তন বা স্তনের বোটার ন্যায়। অতঃপর ‘আলী (রাযিঃ) তাদেরকে হত্যা করার পর বললেন, তোমরা তাকে খুঁজে বের কর। কিন্তু তারা তাকে খুঁজে পেল না। তিনি পুনরায় বললেন, তোমরা গিয়ে আবার খোঁজ কর। আল্লাহর শপথ আমি মিথ্যা বলিনি এবং আমার কাছেও মিথ্যা বলা হয়নি। (অর্থাৎ নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম আমার কাছে মিথ্যা বলেননি এবং আমিও তোমাদের কাছে মিথ্যা বলছি না)। এ কথাটি তিনি দু' অথবা তিনবার বললেন। তারা তাকে ধ্বংস-স্তুপের মধ্যে পেয়ে গেল এবং নিয়ে এসে তার সামনে রাখল। উবায়দুল্লাহ (রাযিঃ) বলেন, তাদের এ তৎপরতার সময় এবং ‘আলী (রাযিঃ) খারিজীদের সম্বন্ধে এ উক্তিটি করার সময় আমি সেখানে উপস্থিত ছিলাম। ইউনুসের বর্ণনায় আরো আছে, বুকায়র বলেনঃ ‘আমার কাছে এক ব্যক্তি ইবনু হুনায়নের সূত্রে বর্ণনা করেছেন। তিনি বলেছেন, “সে কালো লোকটিকে আমি দেখেছি।" (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন ২৩৩৬, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
Ubaidullah b. Abu Rafi', the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), said:When Haruria (the Khawarij) set out and as he was with 'Ali b. Abu Talib (Allah be pleased with him) they said, "There is no command but that of Allah." Upon this 'Ali said: The statement is true but it is intentionally applied (to support) a wrong (cause). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) described their characteristics and I found these characteristics in them. They state the truth with their tongue, but it does not go beyond this part of their bodies (and the narrator pointed towards his throat). The most hateful among the creation of Allah is one black man among them (Khawarij). One of his hand is like the teat of a goat or the nipple of the breast. When 'Ali b. Abu Talib (Allah be pleased with him) killed them, he said: Search (for his dead body). They searched for him, but they did not find it (his dead body). Upon this he said: Go (and search for him). By Allah, neither I have spoken a lie nor has the lie been spoken to me. 'Ali said this twice and thrice. They then found him (the dead body) in a rain. They brought (his dead) body till they placed it before him (Hadrat 'Ali). 'Ubaidullah said: And, I was present at (that place) when this happened and when 'Ali said about them. A person narrated to me from Ibn Hanain that he said: I saw that black man
