তিনি বলেন, আমি মাক্কার কোন একটি পথে আসিম ইবনু উমার এর সাথে চলছিলাম। এ সময় তিনি আমাদের সাথে করে যুহরের সালাত আদায় করলেন এবং মাত্র দু' রাক’আত আদায় করলেন। তারপর তিনি তার কাফিলার মধ্যে ফিরে আসলেন। আমরাও তার সাথে ফিরে আসলাম। তিনি সেখানে বসে পড়লে আমরাও তার সাথে বসে পড়লাম। এ সময় যে স্থানে তিনি সালাত আদায় করেছিলেন সে স্থানে তার দৃষ্টি পড়লে কিছু সংখ্যক লোককে সেখানে দাঁড়ানো দেখতে পেয়ে তিনি জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, এরা ওখানে কী করছে? আমি বললাম, তার সুন্নাত পড়ছে। তিনি এ কথা শুনে বললেনঃ ভাতিজা, আমাদেরকে যদি সুন্নাত আদায় করতে হত তাহলে আমি ফারয (ফরয) সালাতও পূর্ণ আদায় করতাম। আমি সফরে রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর সাথে থেকে দেখেছি আমৃত্যু তিনি দু' রাকাআতের অধিক আদায় করেননি। আমি সফরে আবূ বকরের সাথে থেকে দেখেছি আল্লাহ তাকে ওফাত দান না করা পর্যন্ত তিনি দু' রাকাআত সালাত আদায় করেছেন। আমি সফরে উমারের সাথে দেখেছি তিনি দু' রাকাআত সালাতই আদায় করেছেন। মহান আল্লাহ বলেছেনঃ "আল্লাহর রসূলের জীবনে তোমাদের অনুসরণের উত্তম নমুনা রয়েছে"- (সূরাহ আল আহযাব ৩৩ঃ ২১)। (ইসলামী ফাউন্ডেশন ১৪৪৯, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
Hafs b. 'Asim said:I accompanied Ibn 'Umar on the road to Mecca and he led us in two rak'ahs at the noon prayer, then he went forward and we too went along with him to a place where he alighted, and he sat and we sat along with him, and he cast a glance to the side where he said prayer and he saw people standing and asked: What are they doing? I said: They are engaged in glorifying Allah, offering Sunnah prayer. He said: If I had done so I would have perfected my prayer; O my nephew! I accompanied the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on a journey, and he made no addittion to two rak'ahs, till Allah called him. I accompanied Abu Bakr and he made no addition to two rak'ahs till Allah caused him to die. I accompanied 'Umar and he made no addition to two rak'ahs till Allah caused him to die. I accompanied 'Uthman and he made no addition to two rak'ahs, till Allah caused him to die, and Allah has said:" There is a model pattern for you in the Messenger of Allah" (al-Qur'an, xxxiii)
কুতায়বাহ ইবনু সাঈদ (রহঃ) ..... হাফস্ ইবনু আসিম থেকে (রহঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, একবার আমি সাংঘাতিকভাবে রোগাক্রান্ত হয়ে পড়লাম। 'আবদুল্লাহ ইবনু উমার আমাকে দেখতে আসলেন। সে সময় আমি তাকে সফরে সুন্নাত সালাত আদায় সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞেস করলে তিনি বললেন- আমি সফরে রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর সঙ্গী হয়েছি। কিন্তু কখনো তাকে নফল সালাত আদায় করতে দেখিনি। আর আমি যদি সফরে সুন্নাত সালাত আদায় করতাম তাহলে ফারয (ফরয) সালাতও পূর্ণ করে আদায় করতাম। কেননা আল্লাহ তা'আলা বলেছেনঃ "আল্লাহর রসূলের জীবনে তোমাদের অনুসরণের জন্য উত্তম নীতিমালা রয়েছে"– (সূরাহ আল আহযাব ৩৩ঃ ২১)। (ইসলামী ফাউন্ডেশন ১৪৫০, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
Hafs b. 'Asim reported:I fell ill and lbn 'Umar came to inquire after my health, and I asked him about the glorification of Allah (i. e. prayer) while travelling. Thereupon he said: I accompanied the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on a journey but I did not see him glorifying Him, and were I to glorify (Him). I would have completed the prayer. Allah, the Exalted, has said:" Verily there is a model pattern for you in the Messenger of Allah
মুহাম্মাদ ইবনুল মুসান্না ও ইবনু বাশশার (রহঃ) ..... মূসা ইবনু সালামাহ আল হুযালী (রহঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, আমি আবদুল্লাহ ইবনু আব্বাস (রাযিঃ) কে জিজ্ঞেস করলাম, আমি মাক্কায় অবস্থানকালে যদি ইমামের পিছনে সালাত আদায় না করি তাহলে কীভাবে সালাত আদায় করব। জবাবে আবদুল্লাহ ইবনু আব্বাস বললেন, দু' রাকাআত সালাত আদায় করবে। এটি আবূল কাসিম সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর সুন্নাত। (ইসলামী ফাউন্ডেশন ১৪৪৭, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
Musa b. Salama Hudhali said:I asked Ibn 'Abbas: How should I say prayer when I am in Mecca, and when I do not pray along with the Imam? He said: Two rak'ahs (of prayer) is the Sunnah of Abu'l-Qasim (ﷺ)
