তিনি বলেন, মসজিদে নববীর পাশে কিছু জায়গা খালি হলে বানু সালামাহ গোত্র সেখানে এসে বসতি স্থাপন করতে মনস্থ করল। বিষয়টি রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর কাছে পৌছলে তিনি তাদের (বানু সালিমাহ গোত্রের লোকদের) উদ্দেশে বললেনঃ আমি জানতে পেরেছি যে, তোমরা মসজিদের কাছে চলে আসতে চাও। তারা বলল, হে আল্লাহর রসূল! আমরা তাই মনস্থ করেছি। এ কথা শুনে তিনি (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম) বললেনঃ হে বানু সালিমাহ গোত্রের লোকেরা! তোমরা তোমাদের ঐ বাড়ীতেই থাকো। কারণ তোমাদের সালাতের জন্য মসজিদে আসার প্রতিটি পদক্ষেপ লিপিবদ্ধ করা হয়। (ইসলামী ফাউন্ডেশন ১৩৯১, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
Jabir b. Abdullah reported:There were some plots vacant around the mosque. Banu Salama decided to shift (to this land) and come near the mosque. This (news) reached the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he said to them (Banu Salama): I have received (information) that you intend to shift near the mosque. They said: Yes, Messenger of Allah, we have taken this decision. Upon this he (the Holy Prophet) said: O Banu Salama, live in your houses, for your steps are recorded; live in your houses, for your steps are recorded
তিনি বলেন, আমাদের বাড়ী মসজিদ থেকে দূরে অবস্থিত ছিল। আমরা মসজিদের আশে-পাশে বাড়ী নির্মাণের জন্য ঐ ঘর-বাড়ী বেঁচে ফেলতে মনস্থ করলে রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম তা করতে নিষেধ করেন। তিনি (আমাদের সম্বোধন করে) বললেনঃ (সালাতের জন্য মসজিদে আসার) প্রতিটি পদক্ষেপের বিনিময়ে তোমাদের মর্যাদা ও সাওয়াব বৃদ্ধিপ্রাপ্ত হয়। (ইসলামী ফাউন্ডেশন ১৩৯০, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
Jabir b. 'Abdullah narrated:Our houses were situated far away from the mosque; we, therefore, decided to sell our houses so that we may be able to come near the mosque. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade us (to do so) and said: There is for every step (towards the mosque) a degree (of reward) for you
তিনি বলেন, বানু সালিমাহ গোত্রের লোকজন মসজিদে নববীর কাছে এসে উক্ত খালি স্থানে বসতি স্থাপন করতে মনস্থ করল। মসজিদে নবাবীর পাশে কিছু খালি জায়গা ছিল। বিষয়টি নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম অবগত হলে তিনি তাদেরকে সম্বোধন করে বললেনঃ হে বানু সালিমাহ গোত্রের লোকজন! তোমরা তোমাদের বর্তমান ঘর-বাড়ীতেই থাকো। সালাতের জন্য মসজিদে আসতে তোমাদের প্রতিটি পদক্ষেপ (পদক্ষেপের বিনিময়ে সাওয়াব) লিখিত হয়। নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর এ কথা শুনে তারা বললঃ আমরা এতে (এ কথায় এতো খুশী হলাম যে) আমাদের বাড়ী-ঘর স্থানান্তরিত করে মসজিদের কাছে আসলেও তত খুশী হতাম না। (ইসলামী ফাউন্ডেশন ১৩৯২, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
Jabir b. Abdullah reported that Banu Salama decided to shift near the mosque (as there were) some plots vacant. This (news) reached the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), whereupon he said:O people of the Salama tribe, you better stay in your houses (where you are living), for your footsteps are recorded They said. We could not be more delighted even by shifting (near the mosque) as we were delighted (on hearing these words from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
