তিনি বলেন, আমি জনৈক লোক সম্পর্কে জানি যার বাড়ী অপেক্ষা কারো বাড়ী মসজিদ থেকে অধিক দূরে ছিল বলে আমার জানা নেই। জামা'আতের সাথে কোন ওয়াক্তের সালাত আদায় করা তিনি ছাড়তেন না। উবাই ইবনু কাব বলেনঃ তাকে বলা হলো অথবা (বর্ণনাকারী আবূ উসমান নাহদীর সন্দেহ) আমি বললামঃ যদি তুমি একটি গাধা কিনে নাও এবং তার পিঠে আরোহণ করে রাতের অন্ধকারে এবং রোদের মধ্যে সালাত আদায় করতে আসো তাহলে তো বেশ ভালই হয়। এ কথা শুনে সে বললঃ আমার বাড়ী মসজিদের পাশে হোক তা আমি পছন্দ করি না। আমি চাই মসজিদে হেঁটে আসা এবং মাসজিদ থেকে ঘরে আমার পরিবার-পরিজনের কাছে যাওয়ার প্রতিটি পদক্ষেপ আমার জন্য (আমলনামায়) লিপিবদ্ধ হোক। তার এ কথা শুনে রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ মহান আল্লাহ তা'আলা তোমার জন্য অনুরূপ সাওয়াবই একত্রিত করে রেখেছেন। (ইসলামী ফাউন্ডেশন ১৩৮৬, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
Ubayy b. Ka'b reported:There was a man, and I do not know of any other man, whose house was farther than his from the mosque and he never missed the prayer (in congregation). It was said to him or I said to him: It you were to buy a donkey you could ride upon it In the dark nights and in the burning sand. He said: I do not like my house to be situated by the side of the mosque, for I (eagerly) desire that my steps towards the mosque and back from it, should be recorded when I return to my family. Upon this the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Allah has gathered all (rewards) for you
আবদুল্লাহ ইবনু বাররাদ আল আশ'আরী ও আবূ কুরায়ব (রহঃ) ..... আবূ মূসা (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ যার হাঁটার পথ (অর্থাৎ- ঘর) মসজিদ থেকে বেশী দূরে সে সালাতের অধিক সাওয়াব লাভের হাকদার। আর যে ব্যক্তি সালাতের জন্য অপেক্ষা করে ইমামের সাথে (জামা'আতে) সালাত আদায় করে সে ঐ ব্যক্তির চেয়ে বেশী সাওয়াবের হাকদার যে একাকী সালাত আদায় করে ঘুমিয়ে পড়ে। আবূ কুরায়ব-এর বর্ণনাতে "জামা'আতে ইমামের সাথে সালাত আদায় করে" কথাটি উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে। (ইসলামী ফাউন্ডেশন ১৩৮৫, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)
Abu Musa reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:The most eminent among human beings (as a recipient of) reward (is one) who lives farthest away, and who has to walk the farthest distance, and he who waits for the prayer to observe it along with the Imam, his reward is greater than one who prays (alone) and then goes to sleep. In the narration of Abu Kuraib (the words are):" (He waits) till he prays along with the Imam in congregation
وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِنَحْوِ هَذَا .
