তিনি বলেন, কুফার অধিবাসীরা (তাদের গভর্নর) সা'দ (রাযিঃ)-এর বিরুদ্ধে তার সালাত সম্পর্কে উমার ইবনুল খাত্তাব (রাযিঃ)-এর কাছে অভিযোগ করল। উমার (রাযিঃ) তাকে ডেকে পাঠালেন। তিনি তার দরবারে উপস্থিত হলেন। উমার (রাযিঃ) তার সালাত সম্পর্কে উত্থাপিত অভিযোগ তাকে শুনালেন। সা'দ (রাযিঃ) বললেন, আমি তাদেরকে নিয়ে রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম এর অনুরূপ সালাত আদায় করি। এতে কোনরূপ ত্রুটি করি না। আমি প্রথম দুরাকাআত দীর্ঘ করি এবং শেষের দুরাকাআত সংক্ষিপ্ত করি। উমার (রাযিঃ) বললেন, হে আবূ ইসহাক (সাদ) এটাই তোমার কাছে আশা করি। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ ৮৯৮, ইসলামিক সেন্টারঃ)
Jabir b. Samura reported:The people of Kufa complained to Umar b. Khattab about Sa'd and they made a mention of his prayer. 'Umar sent for him. He came to him. He ('Umar) told him that the people had found fault with his prayer. He said: I lead them in prayer in accorance with the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). I make no decrease in it. I make them stand for a longer time in the first two (rak'ahs) and shorten it in the last two. Upon this 'Umar remarked: This is what I deemed of thee, O Abu Ishaq
মুহাম্মাদ ইবনু আল মুসান্না (রহঃ) ..... জাবির ইবনু সামুরাহ (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, আমি জাবির ইবনু সামুরার কাছে শুনেছি, তিনি বলেন, উমর (রাযিঃ) সা'দকে বললেন, তারা তোমার বিরুদ্ধে সব ব্যাপারেই অভিযোগ এনেছে; এমনকি সালাতের ব্যাপারেও। সা'দ (রাযিঃ) বললেন, আমি তো প্রথম দুরাকাআত লম্বা করে থাকি এবং পরবর্তী দুরাকাআত সংক্ষেপ করে থাকি। রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম এর সালাত আদায়ের নিয়ম অনুসরণ করতে আমি মোটেও ত্রুটি করি না। 'উমার (রাযিঃ) বললেন, তোমার কাছে এটাই আশা করি। অথবা তিনি বলেছেন, তোমার সম্পর্কে আমার এটাই ধারণা। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ ৯০০, ইসলামিক সেন্টারঃ)
Jabir b. Samura reported:'Umar said to Sa'd: They complain against you in every matter, even in prayer. He (Sa'd) said: I prolong (standing) in the first two (rak'ahs) and shorten it in the last two, and I make no negligence in following the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). He ('Umar) remarked: This is what is expected of you, or, that is what I deemed of you
শাইবান ইবনু ফাররূখ (রহঃ) ..... আবূ সাঈদ আল খুদরী (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম যুহরের প্রথম দুরাকাআতে ত্রিশ আয়াত পরিমাণ পাঠ করতেন এবং শেষের দুরাকাআতের প্রতি রাকাআতে পনের আয়াত পরিমাণ পাঠ করতেন। অথবা (রাবীর সন্দেহ) তিনি (আবূ সাঈদ) বলেছেন, এর অর্ধেক পরিমাণ। তিনি ‘আসরের প্রথম দু'রাকাআতের প্রতি রাকাআতে পনের আয়াত পরিমাণ পাঠ করতেন এবং শেষের দু'রাকাআতে এর অর্ধেক পরিমাণ পাঠ করতেন। (ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনঃ ৮৯৭, ইসলামিক সেন্টারঃ)
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported:The Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite in every rak'ah of the first two rak'ahs of the noon prayer about thirty verses and in the last two about fifteen verses or half (of the first rak'ah) and in every rak'ah of the 'Asr prayer of the first two rak'ahs about fifteen verses and in the last two verses half (of the first ones)
