وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ الْقَاسِمِ مِنْ أَيْنَ كَانَ الْقَاسِمُ يَرْمِي جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ فَقَالَ مِنْ حَيْثُ تَيَسَّرَ ‏.‏ قَالَ يَحْيَى سُئِلَ مَالِكٌ هَلْ يُرْمَى عَنِ الصَّبِيِّ وَالْمَرِيضِ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ وَيَتَحَرَّى الْمَرِيضُ حِينَ يُرْمَى عَنْهُ فَيُكَبِّرُ وَهُوَ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ وَيُهَرِيقُ دَمًا فَإِنْ صَحَّ الْمَرِيضُ فِي أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ رَمَى الَّذِي رُمِيَ عَنْهُ وَأَهْدَى وُجُوبًا ‏.‏ قَالَ مَالِكٌ لاَ أَرَى عَلَى الَّذِي يَرْمِي الْجِمَارَ أَوْ يَسْعَى بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ وَهُوَ غَيْرُ مُتَوَضِّئٍ إِعَادَةً وَلَكِنْ لاَ يَتَعَمَّدُ ذَلِكَ ‏.‏
রেওয়ায়ত ২১৯. আবদুর রহমান ইবন কাসিম (রহঃ)-এর নিকট মালিক (রহঃ) জিজ্ঞাসা করিয়াদিলেনঃ কাসিম ইবন মুহাম্মদ (রহঃ) কোথা হইতে জামরা-ই-আকাবার কঙ্কর নিক্ষেপ করিতেন। তিনি বলিলেনঃ যে স্থান হইতে সুবিধা এবং সহজ হইত সেই স্থান হইতেই তিনি উক্ত সময় কঙ্কর নিক্ষেপ করিতেন। মালিক (রহঃ)-কে জিজ্ঞাসা করা হইয়াছিলঃ অসুস্থ ও শিশুদের তরফ হইতে কঙ্কর নিক্ষেপ করা যায় কিনা? উত্তরে তিনি বলিলেনঃ হ্যাঁ, ইহা জায়েয। তবে অসুস্থ ব্যক্তি কঙ্কর নিক্ষেপের সময় অনুমান করিয়া স্বীয় স্থানে থাকিয়াই ‘আল্লাহু আকবার’ বলিবে এবং একটি কুরবানী করিবে। আইয়্যামে তাশরীকের মধ্যে যদি সুস্থ হইয়া পড়ে তবে নিজে কঙ্কর নিক্ষেপ করিবে এবং একটি কুরবানী দিবে। মালিক (রহঃ) বলেনঃ ওযু ব্যতীত কঙ্কর নিক্ষেপ করিলে বা সায়ী করিলে উহা পুনরায় আদায় করিতে হইবে না বটে কিন্তু জানিয়া-শুনিয়া এইরূপ করা উচিত নহে।
Yahya related to me from Malik that he asked Abd ar-Rahman ibn Qasim, "From where did Qasim stonethe jamrat al-Aqaba?"and he replied, "From wherever it was possible." Yahya said that Malik was asked whether some one else could throw the stones for a child or a sick man and he said, "Yes, and a sick man should inquire as to when the stones will be thrown for him and then say the takbir while he is in the place where he is staying, bleeding. If a sick man regains his health during the days of tashriq, he should stone whatever stoning has been done for him and he must offer a sacrificial animal." Malik said, "I do not consider that someone who stones the jamras or does say between Safa and Marwa without being in wudu has to repeat anything, but he should not make a general practice of it

রেওয়ায়ত ২১৮. আবদুর রহমান ইবন কাসিম (রহঃ) তাহার পিতা হইতে বর্ণনা করেন, কঙ্কর নিক্ষেপের জন্য সাধারণত পায়ে হাটিয়া লোকজন আসা-যাওয়া করিত। সর্বপ্রথম মুআবিয়া ইবন আবু সুফিয়ান (রাঃ) আরোহী অবস্থায় নিক্ষেপ করেন।
Yahya related to me from Malik from Abd ar-Rahman ibn Qasim from his father that when people went to stone the jamras they would walk both going there and coming back. The first one to ride was Muawiya ibn Abi Sufyan

وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، كَانَ يَقُولُ لاَ تُرْمَى الْجِمَارُ فِي الأَيَّامِ الثَّلاَثَةِ حَتَّى تَزُولَ الشَّمْسُ ‏.‏
রেওয়ায়ত ২২০. নাফি (রহঃ) বর্ণনা করেন, আবদুল্লাহ ইবন উমর (রাঃ) বলিতেনঃ তিন দিনের প্রত্যেক দিনই সূর্য হেলিয়া পড়ার পর কঙ্কর নিক্ষেপ করা উচিত।
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say, "The jamras should not be stoned during the three days until after the sun has passed the meridian

وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، كَانَ يَقُولُ مَنْ غَرَبَتْ لَهُ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ أَوْسَطِ أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ وَهُوَ بِمِنًى فَلاَ يَنْفِرَنَّ حَتَّى يَرْمِيَ الْجِمَارَ مِنَ الْغَدِ ‏.‏
Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard some of the people of knowledge saying, "The pebbles used for stoning the jamras should be like the stones used as slingshot." Malik said, "I like it better if they are a little larger than that." Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say, "Someone who is at Mina when the sun sets in the middle of the days of tashriq must not leave until he has stoned the jamras on the following day
