রেওয়ায়ত ৪৯. যায়দ ইবন আসলাম (রহঃ) তাহার পিতা হইতে বর্ণনা করেন- উমর ইবন খাত্তাব (রাঃ)-কে বলিতে শুনিয়াছি যে, তিনি বলেনঃ আল্লাহ্র রাস্তায় কাজে লাগাইবার জন্য আমি একবার একটা ভাল ধরনের ঘোড়া এক ব্যক্তিকে দান করিয়াছিলাম। কিন্তু সেই ব্যক্তি ঘোড়াটিকে অযত্নে একেবারে কাহিল বানাইয়া ফেলিয়াছিল। সে হয় ইহা সস্তাদরে বিক্রয় করিয়া দিবে ধারণা করিয়া আমি উহা ক্রয় করিতে মনস্থ করিলাম। তখন রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লামকে এই সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞাসা করা হইলে তিনি বলিলেনঃ এক দিরহামের বিনিময়েও যদি তোমাকে দেয় তবুও ইহা ক্রয় করিও না। কারণ সাদকা করিয়া উহা ফিরাইয়া আনা বমি করিয়া পুনরায় কুকুরের মত ভক্ষণ করার মত।
Yahya related to me from Zayd ibn Aslam that his father said that he had heard Umar ibn al-Khattab say, "I once gave a noble horse to carry somebody in the way of Allah, and the man neglected it. I wished to buy it back from him and I thought that he would sell it cheaply. I asked the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, about it and he said, 'Do not buy it, even if he gives it to you for one dirham, for someone who takes back his sadaqa is like a dog swallowing its own vomit
রেওয়ায়ত ৪৮. নবতী অমুসলিম বাসিন্দাদের নিকট হইতে উমর (রাঃ) কিসের ভিত্তিতে এক-দশমাংশ কর আদায় করিতেন, এই সম্পর্কে মালিক (রহঃ) একবার ইবন শিহাব (রহঃ)-এর নিকট জানিতে চাহিলে তিনি বলিয়াছিলেনঃ জাহিলী যুগেও ইহাদের নিকট হইতে এক-দশমাংশ কর আদায় করা হইত। উমর (রাঃ) পরে তাহাই বহাল রাখেন।
Yahya related to me from Malik that he had asked Ibn Shihab why Umar ibn al Khattab used to take a tenth from the Nabateans, and Ibn Shihab replied, "It used to be taken from them in the jahiliyya, and Umar imposed it on them
রেওয়ায়ত ৫০. আবদুল্লাহ্ ইবন উমর (রাঃ) বর্ণনা করেন, উমর ইবন খাত্তাব (রাঃ) আল্লাহর রাস্তায় একটি ঘোড়া দান করিয়াছেন, পরে উহা ক্রয় করিতে চেষ্টা করিলে রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম তাহাকে বলিলেনঃ ইহা ক্রয় করিও না, তোমার সাদকা তুমি ফেরত লইও না। ইয়াহইয়া (রাঃ) বলেনঃ মালিক (রহঃ)-কে একবার জিজ্ঞাসা করা হইল, যাকাত আদায়কৃত বস্তু যাকাত গ্রহণকারী ব্যতীত অন্য কাহাকেও বিক্রয় করিতে দেখা গেলে যাকাতদাতা উহা ক্রয় করিতে পারিবে কি? মালিক (রহঃ) উত্তরে বললেনঃ আমার মতে উহা ক্রয় না করাই উত্তম।
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that Umar ibn al-Khattab gave a horse to carry some one in the way of Allah, and then he wished to buy it back. রেওয়ায়ত ৪৭. সায়িব ইবন ইয়াযিদ (রহঃ) বলেন, উমর ইবন খাত্তাব (রাঃ)-এর খিলাফতকালে আবদুল্লাহ্ ইবন উতবা ইবন মাসউদ (রাঃ)-এর সহিত আমিও মদীনার বাজারে কর আদায়কারী কর্মচারী হিসাবে নিযুক্ত ছিলাম। আমরা তখন নবতী অমুসলিম বাসিন্দাদের নিকট হইতে এক-দশমাংশ কর আদায় করিতাম।
