রেওয়ায়ত ৪২. মালিক ইবনে আবী আমির আসবাহী (রাঃ) উসমান ইবনে আফফান (রাঃ)-এর নিকট হইতে শ্রবণ করিয়াছেন, তিনি খুৎবায় বলিয়াছেন, যেই সমস্ত দাসী হস্তশিল্পী নহে, তাহাদেরকে আয়-রোজগারে বাধ্য করিও না। কেননা তোমরা তাহাদেরকে রোজগার করিতে বাধ্য করিলে তাহারা হারাম পদ্ধতিতে রোজগার করিবে। অপ্রাপ্ত বয়স্ক গোলামদেরকেও রোজগারের জন্য বাধ্য করিও না। কেননা তোমরা তাহাদেরকে রোজগার করিতে বাধ্য করিলে তাহারা বাধ্য হইয়া চুরি করবে। আল্লাহ যখন তোমাদেরকে ঠিকমত রুজি দান করিতেছেন, তখন তোমরাও তাহাদের মাফ করিয়া দাও, যেমন আল্লাহ তোমাদের মাফ করিয়াছেন। তোমাদের উচিত যাহা হালাল (পাক) তাহাই গ্রহণ করা।
Malik related to me from his paternal uncle, Abu Suhayl ibn Malik, that his father heard Uthman ibn Affan say in a khutba, "Do not oblige the slave-girl to earn money unless she has a skill. When you oblige her to do that, she will earn money by prostitution. Do not oblige the child to earn money. If he does not find it, he will steal. Have integrity since Allah has integrity with you, and you must feed them good food
রেওয়ায়াত ৪১. মালিক (রহঃ)-এর নিকট রেওয়ায়ত পৌছিয়াছে যে, উমর ইবনে খাত্তাব (রাঃ) প্রতি শনিবারে মদীনার পার্শ্ববর্তী গ্রামসমূহে গমন করিতেন (এবং বিভিন্ন অভাব-অভিযোগ ইত্যাদি অনুসন্ধান করিতেন)। যদি কোন গোলামকে এমন কাজ করিতে দেখিতেন যাহা তাহার শক্তির বাহিরে হইত, তবে তিনি উহা কম করিয়া দিতেন (অর্থাৎ কাজ কমাইয়া গোলামের বোঝা হালকা করিয়া দিতেন)।
Malik related to me that he heard that Umar ibn al-Khattab went to the villages every Saturday. If he found a slave doing work which he was not capable of doing, he lightened it for him
حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " الْعَبْدُ إِذَا نَصَحَ لِسَيِّدِهِ وَأَحْسَنَ عِبَادَةَ اللَّهِ فَلَهُ أَجْرُهُ مَرَّتَيْنِ " .
রেওয়ায়ত ৪৩. আবদুল্লাহ ইবন উমর (রাঃ) হইতে বর্ণিত, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলিয়াছেন, গোলাম যদি তাহার মালিকের মঙ্গল কামনা করে এবং রীতিমত আল্লাহর ইবাদত করে, তবে তাহার দ্বিগুণ সওয়াব হইবে।
Malik related to me from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "When a slave gives good counsel to his master and worships Allah correctly, he has his reward twice over
حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لِلْمَمْلُوكِ طَعَامُهُ وَكِسْوَتُهُ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَلاَ يُكَلَّفُ مِنَ الْعَمَلِ إِلاَّ مَا يُطِيقُ " .
রেওয়ায়ত ৪০. আবু হুরায়রা (রাঃ) হইতে বর্ণিত, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলিয়াছেন, মমলুককে (অর্থাৎ দাসদাসীকে) ঠিকমত খাদ্য ও পোশাক দিতে হইবে। তাহা দ্বারা এমন কোন কাজ লওয়া হইবে না, যাহা ক্ষমতাবহির্ভূত (অর্থাৎ তাহার সামর্থ্য অনুযায়ী কাজ সে করিবে, সাধ্যাতীত কাজ দেওয়া বৈধ নহে)।
