Malik related to me from Abd ar-Rahman ibn Harmala from Amr ibn Shuayb from his father from his father that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "One rider is a shaytan. Two riders are two shaytans, and three are a riding-party
Malik related to me from a reliable source of his from Yaqub ibn Abdullah al-Ashajj from Bushr ibn Said from Sad ibn Abi Waqqas from Khawla bint Hakim that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Whoever dismounts to rest in a place should say, 'I seek refuge with the complete words of Allah from the evil of what he created,' (audhu bi kalimati-llahi at-tammati min sharri ma khalaqa), and nothing will harm him until he remounts
وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَرْمَلَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " الشَّيْطَانُ يَهُمُّ بِالْوَاحِدِ وَالاِثْنَيْنِ فَإِذَا كَانُوا ثَلاَثَةً لَمْ يَهُمَّ بِهِمْ " .
রেওয়ায়ত ৩৬. সাঈদ ইবনে মুসায়্যাব (রহঃ) হইতে বর্ণিত, রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলিয়াছেন, শয়তান একজন কিংবা দুইজনকে ক্ষতি করিবার ইচ্ছা করে। তিনজন হইলে ইচ্ছা করে না (কারণ তিনজন হইলে জমাআত হয়, আর কোন জমাআতে সে ক্ষতি করিতে পারে না)।

রেওয়ায়ত ৩৪. মালিক (রহঃ)-এর নিকট রেওয়ায়ত পৌছিয়াছে যে, রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম সফরের উদ্দেশ্যে রেকবে পা রাখার প্রাক্কালে এই দোয়া করিতেনঃ بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ . اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الصَّاحِبُ فِي السَّفَرِ وَالْخَلِيفَةُ فِي الأَهْلِ اللَّهُمَّ ازْوِ لَنَا الأَرْضَ وَهَوِّنْ عَلَيْنَا السَّفَرَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ وَعْثَاءِ السَّفَرِ وَمِنْ كَآبَةِ الْمُنْقَلَبِ وَمِنْ سُوءِ الْمَنْظَرِ فِي الْمَالِ وَالأَهْلِ আমি আল্লাহর নামে সফর আরম্ভ করিতেছি। হে আল্লাহ! তুমি আমার সফরের সাথী আমার পরিবারের জন্য আমার স্থলাভিষিক্ত। হে আল্লাহ! আমার গন্তব্যস্থল নিকটে করিয়া দাও, আমার সফর সহজ করিয়া দাও। হে আল্লাহ! আমি সফরের কষ্ট এবং সফর হইতে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হইয়া ফিরিবার এবং মাল ও পরিবারের অনিষ্ট হইতে তোমার আশ্রয় প্রার্থনা করিতেছি। খাওলা বিনতে হাকীম (রাঃ) হইতে বর্ণিত, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলিয়াছেন, যদি কোন মুসাফির কোন স্থানে অবতরণ করে তবে সে যেন এই দোয় পাঠ করেঃ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ (আমি সৃষ্টির অনিষ্ট হইতে আল্লাহর পূর্ণ কলেমসমূহের আশ্রয় প্রার্থনা করিতেছি।) তাহা হইলে সেখান হইতে প্রস্থান করা পর্যন্ত কোন কিছুই তাহার অনিষ্ট করিতে পারিবে না।
Malik related to me that he heard that when the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, set foot in the stirrup intending to travel, he would say, "In the name of Allah. O Allah! You are my companion in the journey and the Khalifa of my family. O Allah! Spread out the earth for us and make the journey easy for us. O Allah! I seek refuge with You from the hardship of the journey and from returning to sorrow and a distressing sight regarding property and family
