রেওয়ায়ত ২৯. ইয়াহইয়া ইবন সায়ীদ (রহঃ) বর্ণনা করেন, উমর ইবনে খাত্তাব (রাঃ) একদা রুটিতে ঘৃত মাখিয়া খাইতেছিলেন। এমন সময় জনৈক গ্রাম্য লোক আসিল। তিনি তাহাকেও ডাকিলেন। গ্রাম্য লোকটিও রুটি খাইতে লাগিল এবং রুটির সহিত ঘৃতের সেই ময়লাও খাইতে লগিল, যাহা ঘৃতের পাত্রে লাগিয়াছিল। উমর (রাঃ) তাহাকে বলিলেন, তুমি কোনদিন কিছু খাও নাই মনে হইতেছে! লোকটি বলিল, আল্লাহর কসম! আমি অনেক দিন ধরিয়া ঘৃত খাই নাই এবং ঘৃত দিয়া রুটি খাইতে কাহাকেও দেখিও নাই। অতঃপর উমর (রাঃ) বলিলেন, যতদিন পর্যন্ত জনসাধারণের আর্থিক অবস্থা পূর্বে যেমন ছিল তেমন না হয়, ততদিন পর্যন্ত আমিও ঘৃত খাইব না।
Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said that Umar ibn al-Khattab was eating bread with ghee. He summoned one of the desert people and he began to eat and follow the grease in the dish with a morsel of bread. Umar said, "It is as if you were poor." He said, "By Allah. I have not eaten ghee nor have I seen food with it since such- and-such a time." Umar declared, "I shall not eat clarified butter until people are given life again like they were first given life," (i.e. on the Day of Rising)
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ فَوَجَدَ فِيهِ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ وَعُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ فَسَأَلَهُمَا فَقَالاَ أَخْرَجَنَا الْجُوعُ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " وَأَنَا أَخْرَجَنِي الْجُوعُ " . فَذَهَبُوا إِلَى أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ بْنِ التَّيِّهَانِ الأَنْصَارِيِّ فَأَمَرَ لَهُمْ بِشَعِيرٍ عِنْدَهُ يُعْمَلُ وَقَامَ يَذْبَحُ لَهُمْ شَاةً فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " نَكِّبْ عَنْ ذَاتِ الدَّرِّ " . فَذَبَحَ لَهُمْ شَاةً وَاسْتَعْذَبَ لَهُمْ مَاءً فَعُلِّقَ فِي نَخْلَةٍ ثُمَّ أُتُوا بِذَلِكَ الطَّعَامِ فَأَكَلُوا مِنْهُ وَشَرِبُوا مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْمَاءِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لَتُسْئَلُنَّ عَنْ نَعِيمِ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ " .
রেওয়ায়ত ২৮. মালিক (রহঃ)-এর নিকট রেওয়ায়ত পৌছিয়াছে যে, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম মসজিদে প্রবেশ করিলেন। সেখানে তিনি আবু বকর সিদ্দীক এবং উমর ইবনে খাত্তাব (রাঃ)-কে উপস্থিত পাইলেন। রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম তাহদের কাছে মসজিদে আগমনের কারণ জিজ্ঞাসা করিলেন। তাহারা বলিলেন, ক্ষুধার তাড়নায় আসিয়াছি। রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলিলেন, আমাকেও ক্ষুধায় এখানে নিয়া আসিয়াছে। অতঃপর তাহারা [রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম, আবু বকর ও উমর (রাঃ)] আবুল হাইশম ইবন তাইহান আনসারী (রাঃ)-এর নিকট গেলেন। তিনি যবের রুটি তৈরি করার নির্দেশ দিলেন এবং নিজে একটি ছাগল জবাই করার জন্য উদ্যত হইলেন। রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলিলেন, দুধের ছাগল জবাই করিও না। অতঃপর তিনি (আবুল হাইশম) আর একটি ছাগল জবাই করিলেন এবং মোশকে মিষ্ট পানি ভরিয়া (ঠাণ্ডা হওয়ার জন্য) একটি খেজুর গাছে ঝুলাইয়া রাখিলেন । অতঃপর খাবার পরিবেশিত হইলে সকলে খাইলেন এবং সেই পানি পান করিলেন। অতঃপর রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলিলেন, ইহা সেই নিয়ামত। রোজ কিয়ামতে যাহার সম্বন্ধে তোমরা জিজ্ঞাসিত হইবে।
Yahya related to me from Malik that he heard that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, entered the mosque and found Abu Bakr as-Siddiq and Umar ibn al-Khattab there. He questioned them and they said, "Hunger has driven us out." The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "And hunger has brought me out." They went to Abu'l-Haytham ibn at- Tayyihan al-Ansari. He ordered that some barley that was in the house be prepared and he got up to slaughter a sheep for them. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Leave the one with milk." He slaughtered a sheep for them and brought them sweet water and it was hung on a palm-tree. Then they were brought the food and ate it and drank the water. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, recited, "Then, on that day, you will be asked concerning pleasure." (Sura 102 ayat)
রেওয়ায়ত ৩০. আনাস ইবন মালিক (রাঃ) বলেন, উমর ইবনে খাত্তাব (রাঃ) যখন আমীরুল মু'মিনীন ছিলেন, তখন তাহার সম্মুখে এক সা’ খেজুর রাখা হইত; আর তিনি উহা খাইতেন। এমন কি খারাপ ও শুকনা খেজুরও খাইতেন। আবদুল্লাহ ইবন উমর (রাঃ) বলেন, উমর ইবনে খাত্তাব (রাঃ)-কে যখন ফড়িং সম্বন্ধে জিজ্ঞাসা করা হইল (ইহা কি হালাল, না হারাম)। তিনি বলিলেন, আমি পছন্দ করি যে, যদি আমার কাছে এক থলি ফড়িং হইত তবে আমি উহা খাইতাম (অর্থাৎ ফড়িং খাওয়া হালাল এবং উহা বেশ ভাল খাদ্য)। (ইহা পঙ্গপাল, এক বিশেষ ধরনের ফড়িং।)
Yahya related to me from Malik from Ishaq ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Talha that Anas ibn Malik said, "I saw Umar ibn al-Khattab when he was amir al-muminin being given a sa of dates, and he ate all of them, even the inferior ones
Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Isa ibn Maryam used to say, "O Banu Israil! You must drink pure water and the green things of the land and barley bread . Beware of wheat bread, for you will not be grateful enough for it
