حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ يَخْطُبُ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ " .
রেওয়ায়ত ১. আবু হুরায়রা (রাঃ) বর্ণনা করেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম ইরশাদ করিয়াছেন, কেউ যেন তাহার ভাইয়ের বিবাহের প্রস্তাবের উপর প্রস্তাব না দেয়।
Yahya related to me from Malik from Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Do not ask for a woman in marriage when another muslim has already done so
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ يَخْطُبُ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ " .
রেওয়ায়ত ২. আবদুল্লাহ ইবন উমর (রাঃ) বর্ণনা করেন-রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলিয়াছেন, কেউ যেন তাহার ভাইয়ের বিবাহের প্রস্তাবের উপর প্রস্তাব না দেয়। মালিক (রহঃ) বলেনঃ আমাদের মতে (আল্লাহ সর্বজ্ঞ) রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলায়হি ওয়া সাল্লামের বাণী, “কেউ যেন তাহার ভাইয়ের বিবাহের প্রস্তাবের উপর প্রস্তাব না দেয়।” ইহার ব্যাখ্যা এই— যদি কোন পুরুষ কোন মহিলাকে বিবাহের প্রস্তাব দেয়, মহিলাটি তার প্রস্তাবের প্রতি আকৃষ্ট হয় এবং উভয়ে একটি নির্দিষ্ট মোহরের উপর ঐকমত্যে পৌছে। উভয়ে এই ভাবে বিবাহ বন্ধনে আবদ্ধ হওয়ার উপর রাযী হইয়াছে এবং উক্ত মহিলা তাহাকে বিবাহ করার জন্য প্রস্তাবকারীর উপর শর্ত করিয়াছে। এমতাবস্থায় পুরুষের পক্ষে তাহার ভাইয়ের এই প্রস্তাবের উপর প্রস্তাব দেওয়া নিষেধ। এক ব্যক্তি কোন মহিলাকে বিবাহের প্রস্তাব দিল। কিন্তু উক্ত মহিলা তাহার এই প্রস্তাবের প্রতি সম্মতি জ্ঞাপন করে নাই এবং তাহার দিকে আকৃষ্টও হয় নাই। এরূপ মহিলার বিবাহের জন্য কেউ প্রস্তাব দিবে না। এই হাদীসের অর্থ ইহা নহে। কারণ ইহাতে লোকের মধ্যে ফাসাদ সৃষ্টির দরজা উন্মুক্ত হইবে।
Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Do not ask for a woman in marriage when another muslim has already done so." Malik said, "The explanation of the statement of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, according to what we think - and Allah knows best - is that 'Do not ask for a woman in marriage when another muslim has already done so' means that when a man has asked for a woman in marriage, and she has inclined to him and they have agreed on a bride-price, which she has suggested and with which they are mutually satisfied, it is forbidden for another man to ask for that woman in marriage. It does not mean that when a man has asked for a woman in marriage, and his suit does not agree with her and she does not incline to him that no one else can ask for her in marriage. That is a door to misery for people
রেওয়ায়ত ৩. “স্ত্রীলোকদের নিকট তোমরা ইঙ্গিতে বিবাহ প্রস্তাব করিলে অথবা তোমাদের অন্তরে গোপন রাখিলে তোমাদের কোন পাপ নাই।” আল্লাহ জানেন যে, তোমরা তাহাদের সম্বন্ধে আলোচনা করিবে; কিন্তু বিধিমত কথাবার্তা ব্যতীত গোপনে তাহাদের নিকট কোন অঙ্গীকার করিও না। (বাকারাঃ ২৩৫) আবদুর রহমান ইবন কাসেম (রহঃ) তাহার পিতা হইতে বর্ণনা করেন যে, তিনি বলিতেন, “আল্লাহ্ তা'আলার এই বাণীর ব্যাখ্যা এই — কোন পুরুষ কর্তৃক কোন মহিলাকে তার স্বামীর ওফাতের ইদ্দত পালনের সময়ে এইরূপ বলা – “তুমি আমার নিকট সম্মানিত,” “আমি তোমাকে পছন্দ করি” “আল্লাহ তা'আলা নিশ্চয়ই তোমার জন্য মঙ্গল ও জীবিকা প্রেরণ করিবেন।” আরও এই জাতীয় উক্তি।
Yahya related to me from Malik from Abd ar-Rahman ibn al-Qasim that his father said about the word of Allah, the Blessed, the Exalted, "There is no fault in you about the proposal you offer to women, or hide in yourselves. Allah knows that you will be mindful of them; but do not make troth with them secretly without honourable words," (Sura 2 ayat 235) that it referred to a man saying to a woman while she was still in her idda after the death of her husband, "You are dear to me, and I desire you, and Allah brings provision and blessing to you," and words such as these
রেওয়ায়ত ৪. আবদুল্লাহ ইবন আব্বাস (রাঃ) হইতে বর্ণিত-রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম ইরশাদ করিয়াছেনঃ আইয়্যেম[1] তাহার ব্যাপারে অভিভাবকের তুলনায় অধিক হকদার এবং কুমারীর বিবাহের ব্যাপারে তাহার অনুমতি লইতে হইবে। চুপ থাকাই হইতেছে তাহার অনুমতি।
Malik related to me from Abdullah ibn al-Fadl from Nafi ibn Jubayr ibn Mutim from Abdullah ibn Abbas that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "A woman who has been previously married is more entitled to her person than her guardian, and a virgin must be asked for her consent for herself, and her consent is her silence
