حَدَّثَنَا خَلاَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ ذَرٍّ، سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " يَا جِبْرِيلُ مَا يَمْنَعُكَ أَنْ تَزُورَنَا أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا تَزُورُنَا ". فَنَزَلَتْ {وَمَا نَتَنَزَّلُ إِلاَّ بِأَمْرِ رَبِّكَ لَهُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِينَا وَمَا خَلْفَنَا} إِلَى آخِرِ الآيَةِ. قَالَ هَذَا كَانَ الْجَوَابَ لِمُحَمَّدٍ صلى الله عليه وسلم.
ইবনু ‘আব্বাস (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম জিবরাঈলকে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, হে জিব্রীল! আপনি আমাদের সঙ্গে যে পরিমাণ সাক্ষাত করেন, তার চেয়ে বেশি সাক্ষাত করতে কিসে বাধা দেয়? এরই প্রেক্ষাপটে কুরআনের নিম্নোক্ত আয়াত নাযিল হয়: (ফেরেশতাগণ বলেন) ‘আমরা আপনার প্রতিপালকের হুকুম ছাড়া অবতরণ করি না, যা আমাদের সামনে আছে, আর যা আমাদের পেছনে আছে আর এ দু’য়ের মাঝে যা আছে তা তাঁরই, আপনার প্রতিপালক কক্ষনো ভুলে যান না। (সূরাহ মারইয়াম ১৯/৬৪)। ‘আবদুল্লাহ্ ইবনু ‘আব্বাস (রাঃ) বলেন, এটি মুহাম্মাদ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর প্রশ্নের উত্তর। (আধুনিক প্রকাশনী- ৬৯৩৭, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন)
Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "O Gabriel, what prevents you. from visiting us more often than you do?" Then this Verse was revealed:--'And we angels descend not but by Command of your Lord. To Him belongs what is before us and what is behind us..' (19.64) So this was the answer to Muhammad
তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম যিনি ‘সত্যবাদী’ এবং ‘সত্যবাদী বলে স্বীকৃত’ আমাদের কাছে বর্ণনা করেছেন যে, তোমাদের প্রত্যেকের সৃষ্টি হলো এমন বীর্য থেকে যাকে মায়ের পেটে চল্লিশ দিন কিংবা চল্লিশ রাত একত্রিত রাখা হয়। তারপর তেমনি সময়ে আলাক হয়, তারপর তেমনি সময়ে গোশতপিন্ডে পরিণত হয়। তারপর আল্লাহ্ তার কাছে ফেরেশতা প্রেরণ করেন। এই ফেরেশতাকে চারটি বিষয় সম্পর্কে লেখার করার জন্য হুকুম দেয়া হয়। যার ফলে ফেরেশেতা তার রিযক, ‘আমল, আয়ু এবং দুর্ভাগা কিংবা ভাগ্যবান হওয়া সম্পর্কে লিখে দেয়। তারপর তার মধ্যে প্রাণ ফুঁকে দেয়া হয়। এজন্যই তোমাদের কেউ জান্নাতীদের ‘আমল করে এতটুকু এগিয়ে যায় যে, তার ও জান্নাতের মাঝে কেবল এক গজের দূরত্ব থাকতেই তার ওপর লিখিত তাক্দীর প্রবল হয়ে যায়। তখন সে জাহান্নামীদের ‘আমল করে। শেষে সে জাহান্নামে প্রবেশ করে। আবার তোমাদের কেউ জাহান্নামীদের মত ‘আমল করে এমন পর্যায়ে পৌঁছে যে, তার ও জাহান্নামের মাঝে মাত্র এক গজের দূরত্ব থাকতে তার উপর তাকদীরের লেখা প্রবল হয়, ফলে সে জান্নাতীদের মত ‘আমল করে, শেষে জান্নাতেই প্রবেশ করে। [৩২০৮] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনী- ৬৯৩৬, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন)
Narrated `Abdullah bin Mas`ud:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) the true and truly inspired, narrated to us, "The creation of everyone of you starts with the process of collecting the material for his body within forty days and forty nights in the womb of his mother. Then he becomes a clot of thick blood for a similar period (40 days) and then he becomes like a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then an angel is sent to him (by Allah) and the angel is allowed (ordered) to write four things; his livelihood, his (date of) death, his deeds, and whether he will be a wretched one or a blessed one (in the Hereafter) and then the soul is breathed into him. So one of you may do (good) deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise so much that there is nothing except a cubit between him and Paradise but then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing (evil) deeds characteristic of the people of Hell (Fire) and (ultimately) enters Hell (Fire); and one of you may do (evil) deeds characteristic of the people of Hell (Fire) so much so that there is nothing except a cubit between him and Hell (Fire), then what has been written for him decides his behavior and he starts doing (good) deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise and ultimately) enters Paradise." তিনি বলেন, আমি রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর সঙ্গে মাদ্বীনাহ্য় একটি কৃষিক্ষেত দিয়ে চলছিলাম। রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম তখন একটি খেজুরের ডালের উপর ভর দিয়ে চলছিলেন। তারপর তিনি যখন ইয়াহূদীদের এক কাওমের পাশ দিয়ে যাচ্ছিলেন তখন তারা একে অপরকে বলতে লাগল, তাঁকে রূহ্ সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞেস কর। আবার কেউ কেউ বলল, তাঁকে কিছু জিজ্ঞেস করো না। শেষে তাঁরা রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-কে রূহ্ সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞেস করল। তারপর রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম খেজুরের শাখার ওপর ভর দিয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে গেলেন। তখন আমি তাঁর পেছনেই ছিলাম। আমি ভাবছিলাম, তাঁর ওপর ওয়াহী অবতীর্ণ হচ্ছে। পরে তিনি বললেনঃ ‘‘তোমাকে তারা রূহ সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞেস করে। বল, ‘রূহ হচ্ছে আমার প্রতিপালকের হুকুমের অন্তর্ভুক্ত (একটি হুকুম)। এ সম্পর্কে তোমাকে অতি সামান্য জ্ঞানই দেয়া হয়েছে।’’- (সূরাহ ইসরা ১৭/৮৫)। তখন তাদের একজন আরেকজনকে বলতে লাগল, বলেছিলাম তোমাদেরকে তাঁকে কোন প্রশ্ন করো না। [১২৫] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনী- ৬৯৩৮, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন)
Narrated `Abdullah:
While I was walking with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) in one of the fields of Medina and he was walking leaning on a stick, he passed a group of Jews. Some of them said to the others, "Ask him (the Prophet) about the spirit." Others said, "Do not ask him." But they asked him and he stood leaning on the stick and I was standing behind him and I thought that he was being divinely inspired. Then he said, "They ask you concerning the spirit say: The spirit, its knowledge is with My Lord. And of knowledge you (O men!) have been given only a little." ...(17.85) On that some of the Jews said to the others, "Didn't we tell you not to ask?
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لَمَّا قَضَى اللَّهُ الْخَلْقَ كَتَبَ عِنْدَهُ فَوْقَ عَرْشِهِ، إِنَّ رَحْمَتِي سَبَقَتْ غَضَبِي ".
আবূ হুরাইরাহ (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত:
তিনি বলেন, রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেনঃ আল্লাহ্ তা‘আলা যখন (সৃষ্টির) কাজ সম্পন্ন করলেন, তখন তাঁর নিকট তাঁর আরশের ওপর লিখে দিলেন, ‘‘আমার রহমত আমার ক্রোধকে ছাড়িয়ে গেছে।’’ [৩১৯৪] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনী- ৬৯৩৫, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন)

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "When Allah created the creations, He wrote with Him on His Throne: 'My Mercy has preceded My Anger
