তিনি বলেন, যখন রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম মাদ্বীনাহয় আসলেন, তখন ষোল অথবা সতের মাস বাইতুল মুকাদ্দাসের দিকে মুখ করে সালাত পড়লেন। আর তিনি কা‘বার দিকে মুখ করতে খুবই ভালবাসতেন। অতঃপর আল্লাহ্ অবতীর্ণ করলেনঃ ‘‘নিশ্চয়ই আমি তোমার আকাশের দিকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে দেখাকে লক্ষ্য করেছি, যে ক্বিবলা (কিবলা/কেবলা) তুমি পছন্দ কর’’- (সূরাহ আল-বাক্বারাহ ২/১৪৪)। তখন তাঁকে কা‘বাহর দিকে ফিরিয়ে দেয়া হয়। তাঁর সঙ্গে এক ব্যক্তি ‘আসরের সালাত পড়ছিল। এরপর সে বেরিয়ে আনসারীদের এক গোত্রের নিকট দিয়ে অতিক্রম করল এবং সে সাক্ষ্য দিয়ে বলল যে, সে রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর সঙ্গে সালাত পড়ে এসেছে আর কা‘বার দিকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে দেয়া হয়েছে। তখন তাঁরা দিক পরিবর্তন করলেন। এ সময় তাঁরা ‘আসরের সালাতে রুকূ‘র হালতে ছিলেন। [৪০] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনী- ৬৭৪৫, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন)
Narrated Al-Bara':
When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) arrived at Medina, he prayed facing Jerusalem for sixteen or seventeen months but he wished that he would be ordered to face the Ka`ba. So Allah revealed: -- 'Verily! We have seen the turning of your face towards the heaven; surely we shall turn you to a prayer direction (Qibla) that shall please you.' (2.144) Thus he was directed towards the Ka`ba. A man prayed the `Asr prayer with the Prophet (ﷺ) and then went out, and passing by some people from the Ansar, he said, "I testify. that I have prayed with the Prophet (ﷺ) and he (the Prophet) has prayed facing the Ka`ba." Thereupon they, who were bowing in the `Asr prayer, turned towards the Ka`ba
তিনি বলেন, লোকেরা কু‘বার মসজিদে ফজরের সালাতে ছিলেন, এমন সময় এক আগন্তুক এসে বলল, রাতে রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম-এর উপর কুরআন অবতীর্ণ করা হয়েছে এবং কা‘বার দিকে মুখ করার নির্দেশ দেয়া হয়েছে। তোমরা কা‘বার দিকে মুখ করে দাঁড়াও। তখন তাদের মুখ ছিল সিরিয়ার দিকে, অতঃপর তারা কা‘বার দিকে ঘুরলেন। [৩০৪] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনী- ৬৭৪৪, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন)
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar:
While the people were at Quba offering the morning prayer, suddenly a person came to them saying, "Tonight Divine Inspiration has been revealed to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and he has been ordered to face the Ka`ba (in prayers): therefore you people should face it." There faces were towards Sham, so they turned their faces towards the Ka`ba (at Mecca)
তিনি বলেন, আমি আবূ ত্বলহা আনসারী, আবূ ‘উবাইদাহ ইবনু জাররাহ্ ও ইবাই ইবনু কা‘বকে আধাপাকা খেজুরের তৈরি শরাব পান করাচ্ছিলাম। তখন তাদের কাছে একজন আগন্তুক এসে বলল, শরাব হারাম করে দেয়া হয়েছে। আবূ ত্বলহা (রাঃ) বললেন, হে আনাস! তুমি উঠে গিয়ে মটকাগুলো ভেঙ্গে ফেল। আনাস (রাঃ) বলেন, আমি উঠে গিয়ে আমাদের ঘটি দিয়ে ওগুলোর তলায় আঘাত করে ভেঙ্গে ফেললাম। [২৪৬৪] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনী- ৬৭৪৬, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন)
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
I used to offer drinks prepared from infused dates to Abu Talha Al-Ansari, Abu 'Ubada bin Al Jarrah and Ubai bin Ka`b. Then a person came to them and said, "All alcoholic drinks have been prohibited." Abu Talha then said, "O Anas! Get up and break all these jars." So I got up and took a mortar belonging to us, and hit the jars with its lower part till they broke
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم انْصَرَفَ مِنِ اثْنَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ لَهُ ذُو الْيَدَيْنِ أَقَصُرَتِ الصَّلاَةُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَمْ نَسِيتَ فَقَالَ " أَصَدَقَ ذُو الْيَدَيْنِ ". فَقَالَ النَّاسُ نَعَمْ. فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ أُخْرَيَيْنِ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ، ثُمَّ كَبَّرَ، ثُمَّ سَجَدَ مِثْلَ سُجُودِهِ أَوْ أَطْوَلَ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ، ثُمَّ كَبَّرَ، فَسَجَدَ مِثْلَ سُجُودِهِ، ثُمَّ رَفَعَ.
আবূ হুরাইরাহ (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত যে, রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম দু’ রাক‘আত আদায় করেই সালাত শেষ করে দিলেন। তখন যুল ইয়াদাইন (রাঃ) তাঁকে বললেন, হে আল্লাহর রাসূল! সালাত কি সংক্ষিপ্ত করা হয়েছে, না আপনি ভুলে গেছেন। তিনি বললেনঃ যুল ইয়াদাইন কি ঠিক বলছে? লোকেরা বলল, হ্যাঁ। তখন রাসূলুল্লাহ্ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম দাঁড়ালেন এবং অবশিষ্ট দু’রাক‘আত পড়লেন। তারপর তিনি সালাম ফিরালেন এবং তাকবীর বলে তার সিজদার মত কিংবা তার চেয়ে দীর্ঘ সিজদা করলেন এবং মাথা উঠালেন, তারপর আবার তাকবীর বলে তাঁর সাজদার মত সিজদা করলেন ও মাথা উঠালেন। [৪৮২] (আধুনিক প্রকাশনী- ৬৭৪৩, ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশন)
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) finished his prayer after offerings two rak`at only. Dhul-Yaddain asked him whether the prayer had been reduced, or you had forgotten?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Is Dhul-Yaddain speaking the truth?" The people said, "Yes." Then Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) stood up and performed another two rak`at and then finished prayer with Taslim, and then said the Takbir and performed a prostration similar to or longer than his ordinary prostrations; then he raised his head, said Takbir and prostrated and then raised his head (Sahu prostrations)
